The Lycan's Soul Mate -
Chapter 42 The Coronation
It was morning and the two lovebirds awoke to the sound of thehowling. The group of special wolves kind of like a choir to alert thetribes that the coronation was upon us. Luca's grandfather and theelder were already busy overseeing the preparations in the great hall. Some maids knocked on Luca's door and were given permission toenter. They served Luca and Luna breakfast in bed and asked Them tomeet them in the preparation rooms.
Obviously, it was going to be a busy day. Today was the day that lucawould assume the throne. The day that her mate becomes King. Whoknew that her destiny was to be this important. Growing up she wasalways marginal. Never in a million years did she ever guess that shewould be lying half naked in bed with a prince who loved her awaitinghis ascent to king.
Luca held her in an embrace and kissed her right in front of the servers. She felt a bit embarrassed, but she loved it. He was not ashamed of her.He really loved her, and it looks like he wanted the world to know. Shewelcomed his kisses and kissed him back. “Well, that I have to say is thebest wake up I've ever had.” He said to her. She smiled back at him.“Well, I'm glad I didn’t disappoint.”
The two of them had breakfast together and enjoyed each other'scompany. The discussed the wedding and decided to marryimmediately after the Coronation. “I know that I said that I wanted towait but I don't think that I can wait to long to be with you and youdon't make it easy on a guy.” He smiled coquettishly. She got off thebed and got into her clothes and one of his shirts as she clearlyremembered her begging him to rip her clothes off. Luna blushed ather boldness and took her leave from him and headed to the roomswhere the maids had asked them to be.
Luna walked into the room, and it was well adorned with gold furniture. Not a spec of dust was to be seen. The focal point of the room was abeautiful ball gown next to the dressing table. She walked up to it andsmiled. She opened up the bag and admired the gown. She wasinterrupted by a woman that she'd only met once before. She was thebeautician that was sent to do her hair and nails on the night of theball. “Hi, I'm so sorry to startle you but I'm here to do your nails andlater someone else will come do your makeup and hair to prepare youfor the Coronation” she said.
Luna smiled at the young lady and sat down on the chair. “You didn'tstartle me I was just admiring the dress. It's perfect. Whoever picked itdid a great job. I absolutely love it.” She replied. She took a seat at thespa like station in the far end of the room. She sat and admired thebeautiful work that she did with her nails. She enjoyed it as it had beenforever since she'd even had the time to have her nails done. Shelooked around at the room and realized that there was still a lot thatshe didn't know about the palace. After all she had not been given thegrand tour.
She sat there conversing with the beautician for a little over an houruntil she finished and left. Luna left to have a bite to eat and take ashower. After her bath she went out for a walk and was surprised to seethe maids heading to a part of the palace that she had never been tobefore. She followed them and the path led her to a huge building. Itwas ancient looking but very well maintained. The yard was full ofbeautiful flowers in the most beautiful garden she ever saw. Shemarveled at the beauty of the place.
She walked up to the entrance, and it opened up to a huge cathedrallike room adorned in gold and glitter. It had been exquisitelydecorated. It was the most beautiful thing that she had ever seen.Luca's grand father and the old lady from the old library was there. They welcomed her and showed her to her seat. The old lady told theold king that luca and Luna were to be married at the soonest.
She bowed down to Luna called her goddess. That was weird but shewas strange. She just smiled and went back to finish getting ready forthe coronation. Luca's grand father and the old Lady were alreadydressed. The ushers were taking their places. She went back to theroom to finish her makeup and hair. The hairdresser andcosmetologists were already waiting. She greeted them and took a seat.If she was getting all this attention, she wondered how Luca was doing. He must have so many more persons dressing him up than I do. Shethought to herself smiling. She looked at herself in the huge mirrorafter they were done and barely recognized herself. She did look likesomething out of this word. “Guess that's why she called me goddess. Ido look like one.” She said to herself. She went over to get her dressand shoes on, and someone came to help her with her jewelry andescort her to the coronation center.
They headed over there on a cart and the ushers took her to her seatnext to the old king. She felt important. She felt accepted. Shewondered whether being chosen as a mate gave someone suchrespect. As she sat the ceremony began and Luca walked in looking sodamn handsome. He wasn't the young 18-year-old kid anymore. Helooked like a man, he was huge, strong and had an air about him thatcommanded respect. He walked up to the front and a chant was doneby the Old Lady and he was crowned.
Everyone bowed down to him. He walked up to her, took her hand andbrought her up to the front to stand next to him and there, heannounced that she was his mate and that they were to be wed soon.“Unfortunately, my father was to make this announcement but his timewith us was cut short and did not permit. She will be my queen and willhelp protect our tribes. I ask that you welcome her and treat her as youwould me.” Luna was surprised. Cat was out of the bag. It was a greatceremony.
