The Lycan's Soul Mate -
chapter 44 The Wedding
It was a beautiful day. The full moon was tonight, and everything was asit should be. Luca had accepted the fact that Luna would be by his sidewhen they got to Lydia, and he had gotten into the feeling of gettingmarried. Everyone in the tribe and specially invited guests from theother tribes were coming in to witness their marriage ceremony. Somany gifts had already arrived and had been put on display in the greathall. Everyone was so busy getting everything ready.
Luna was still lying awake on her bed taking in the moment. This daywas a day unlike any other. She smiled as she listened to the sound ofthe birds chirping, she could even hear the buzzing of the bees. Lunagiggled to herself as she walked to her terrace to admire the view. Thiswas going to be her last night sleeping in this room. After the wedding, they would reside in the king and queen's residences.
Luca's father never stayed there not even when he was married toLuca's mother since she was half human and was never really accepted.Luca's father remained at the family’s residence. He only used the otherrooms for functions. Luca and Luna's things had already been broughtover. All they had left in their old rooms were the things that theywould need for the wedding preparations.
She had slept alone last night but she had dreamed of Luca. Herdreams are always so lifelike. “In a few hours I won't have to resort todreams” she whispered to herself. She ran herself a bath and enjoyedthe soak until she was interrupted by a maid bringing her breakfast. Shewanted to stay away from Luca as much as possible today so that whenhe saw her it would be as if he were seeing her for the first time. Shewanted this day to be unforgettable.
She had her breakfast quickly and started getting herself ready. Hernails were done after which she went for a walk in the garden. The pathwhere she was to walk down was beautifully decorated with naturalflowers and rose petals leading up to a beautiful arch full of butterflies. It was so natural and perfect. After the ceremony, they were to head tothe Coronation room where she would be crowned queen. They wouldhave their reception and would have to run into the woods to havetheir first run as mates where he would be expected to mark her.
Luna was so happy. Nothing could ruin her day. She caught Luca'sscent and so she left before being seen by him. She felt like a childplaying hide and seek in a park. But it was all going to be worth it. Sheloved him so much and wanted this day to be unforgettable no matterhow silly she was acting.
She returned to her room where she got her hair done. They let most ofit up in a bridal hairstyle. Her face was made up flawlessly. Her dresswas a long mermaid sheer dress. The entire dress was see-through withrubies covering her nipples and genitals. The dress had a long cape thatstarted from her shoulders. It was covered in rhinestones. Her shoesmatched her dress. The entire thing was bedazzled.
She walked downstairs where Soccorah greeted her. She thought thatshe would not be able to make it but there she was holding her ringand exquisitely dressed in a red mermaid dress as well. Soccorahhugged and congratulated her friend and led her to the car. The twelvebridesmaids followed in another limousine. Luna was so happy to haveher friend as she knew none of the bridesmaids. She was happy to haveSoccorah here to celebrate this day with her. It made the day evenmore memorable. She wondered how Luca was doing. She was startingto feel nervous. She hoped that she wouldn't disappoint her husbandnot just as a wife but a queen. Being married to royalty was the farthestthing from her mind and she was doing just that.
Luca and his groomsmen took their place beneath the arch in thegarden to await Luna's entrance. The guests were seated and patientlyawaiting the bride's entrance. Luca was surprisingly nervous. He stoodwearing his white suit with a long cape covered with gem-matchingLuna's. He also wore his crown. Luca stood looking majestic awaitinghis bride.
Everyone stood up when the bridesmaids emerged to chariots of fire, followed by Luna to a bridal tune with Soccorah behind her ensuringthat all was ok with her dress. As she strode down the aisle like thegoddess that she was, everyone marveled at her poise, grace, andbeauty. Luca was breathless as he saw his soulmate in a whole newlight. She never ceased to amaze him. She was so beautiful in that dressit's a pity that it would have to come off.
She took her place next to Luca and gave him a smile that melted hisheart. At that moment she was the envy of the she-wolves of the packs.Luca was now accounted for and was no longer available for theirescapades. The ceremony started and they exchanged vows and ringsand they tied the knot with a kiss. As they Kissed Luna felt like he wouldnot let go. She didn’t want him to either but that could wait till later. They had the rest of their lives to be intimate surely, they could wait afew hours. As the walked to the hall, Luna had a vision and warnedLuca. “She's left the cabin and coming here but she’s coming with hercoven. We need to replace her and kill her before she does anything tohurt anyone.”
“How far are they?” He asked her. “They haven't reached our borders. They've just left Attica.” She replied. Well then let's finish our business.Enjoy the party then we will be ready by the time they get here.” Hereplied as he motioned to his alphas to prepare the warriors.” “Youraunt does have the worst timing. She will pay dearly for cutting ourwedding night short.” He whispered. She smiled. “You never cease toamaze me."
