Chapter 123

Family dinner?" It was a total buzzkill for Oneida when she heard that.

She didn't want to go.

Tela, Grandpa has given an absolute order. Everyone must go. You should, too," Lucas said, letting out a sigh. Oneida snorted to herself.

She hated the idea that she had to go just because it was an absolute order.

To Oneida, it didn't make any sense.

"Why the sudden occasion?" Oneida asked casually.

"I heard that Yuliana has great news to announce, I guess something good had happened to her," Lucas replied.

"I'm not going." Oneida's brows furrowed, and there was a trace of disgust in her eyes when she heard Yuliana's name.

She refused decisively.

Oneida felt that she would only be upset seeing Yuliana as the main character of the family dinner.

"Ida..." Lucas sounded helpless and troubled after listening to Oneida's reply. "I don't think that's a good idea. Just treat it as a normal meal with your father, okay? After all, your Grandpa specifically said that we must go. He didn't like our family at all to begin with. If you don't show some respect, then we..." Lucas explained, trying hard to convince Oneida.

For a moment, Oneida was silent.

Lucas' words seemed to have touched her.

Yuliana went through every detail on the invitation card and read it over and over again dozens of times.

The card indeed contained her name.
