Phoebe's POV

He has been acting like a child since I told him I wanted to leave, I could not stay back because of Emily and Jake.

I didn't tell them I'll be sleeping out. They'll think something wrong happened to me, if not that deep down I wanted to spend the night with Ethan so he could cuddle me like he said but I can't, and I feel bad that I can't. Because he won't let me dress in peace. I'm dressing up in the toilet, I dress up quickly because Emily and Jake won't sleep till they see me.

After I'm done dressing I pick up my purse, "I put something inside your purse, check it," he tells me, and I get scared. Why would he put something in my purse without my knowledge? only God knows what's his plan.

I open my purse, my gaze on him and still on what I'm doing, as I open my purse I see an envelope, I take out the envelope and open It and I replace money inside, I'm stunned, he gave me money the last time we spent time together just a day ago and now this?

And he just gave me a job that could make my life much easier in a short while, and most of all he gave me Love, something I thought I wasn't worth having.

"No I can't take this," I give it back to him, this one is ten times bigger than what he gave me the last time.

"Take it, you need it, inside that envelope is $650,000. That's the money for those guys that were troubling you, I gave you so you could pay them and be free of the debt.

I'm so stunned, I don't even know how to react, I start crying and he hugs me immediately, "Thank you so much, Ethan," I mutter amidst my tears.

"You're welcome, My love, this is not your salary, have that at the back of your mind, this is a gift so you could pay off your debts," he informs me.

"So what do you get in return for this," I asked, showing him the money he gave me.

"Nothing, I want nothing, because I have your love, Don't I?" He cocks an eyebrow at me.

"Yes you do," I chuckle.

He holds my back and whispers into my ears,"Whatever will make you happy it's my priority," he assures me and I smile.

"Thank you," I say.

He holds my hand as we walk out of the room, and when we get to the living room, Kayla is no longer there.

"Where's your cousin?" I ask him.

"She will be in her room, she goes to bed early since she got pregnant," Ethan tells me.

"Oh I see, well, tell her I asked about her and I'll see her when next I come,"

"I sure will," we get outside and replace his driver standing near one of the cars.

Like he had already informed him I was coming down, "I would have taken you home myself but I want to see Kayla, we'll keep in touch, see you on Monday at work," he winked at me.

I wave back to him till we leave the compound, and sit properly at the chair adjusting my dress.

I look forward and my eyes meet with Ray, he hasn't said more than five words today, his job must really be a tough one because why won't I be talking for the whole day. "You remember where you picked me from this morning right?" I ask him.

"Yeah, is that where you want me to drop you?"

"Yeah, there," I notice a surprised look on his face and the next minute he shrugs it off.

A lot of emotions started swelling in me, happiness, anger, regret, etc, he was the playboy I joined girls to insult and I didn't even know who he was?
