The Supreme God of Martial Arts
Chapter 55 The Battle Between Spiritual Souls

Sensing the unidentified object in the elixir field of his body, Austintried to use his vital energy to expel it, though he was hesitant andafraid. If the plan backfired, his own vital energy could be damaged."Bzzz.."

Whatever it was, it got stimulated from the energy and purred in a lowvoice, slowly getting aroused.

Then suddenly, it began to absorb the vital energy from Austin’s elixirfield with a frantic power that he was unable to resist. It was almost as ifthere was a magical suction in place.

The suction grew stronger by the second as that thing kept absorbinghis vital energy. In just a short while, it had completely swallowed thevital energy that Austin had feverishly, much like a whale devouring itsprey.

Austin was deeply shocked and scared. He resisted as hard as he couldand tried to avoid the suction with all of his willpower, but what he didwas just like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

The scariest thing was that in just a moment, Austin had found that allof his vital energy had been sucked out of him by that thing in side ofhim. Now, that thing looked strange, with no definite shape, andglowing with a bright light.

Austin regretted wasting his vital energy in his desperation and felt likecrying!

He blamed himself deeply for having bothered that damn thing with hisvital energy. It was a risk and it hadn't paid off.

It had taken him great efforts to get back to the sixth level of EnergyGathering Realm. But now, all of his vital energy had been snatchedfrom him in one sudden moment. Did he have to start over again?

The very thought of this was unimaginable and Austin could not helpfeeling a little desperate.

"No! I am never going to give in. I am going to get rid of this thing."Without a seconds delay or hesitation, he took out an earth spirit fruit, thrust it into his mouth and swallowed frantically.

Just as the fruit went down his throat, it released a large amount of vitalenergy into his veins, energizing him, albeit for an instant.

The object in his elixir field immediately sensed the vital energy and itcreated another strong suction.

In an instant, the vital energy of the earth spirit fruit was forced towardsthe elixir field and absorbed by that strange thing once again.

Having no alternative, and getting more and more frantic by theminute, he put another earth spirit fruit into his mouth withouthesitation.

But it amounted to the same thing once more. The vital energy wasimmediately absorbed by that damned thing.

Then he continued to take the third earth spirit fruit...

The fourth earth spirit fruit...

Then the next one. He had already taken five.

Then the sixth earth spirit fruit...

Finally, when he had stuffed the seventh earth spirit fruit down histhroat, the released vital energy poured into his veins, gurgled aroundand finally fell into the elixir field where it stayed this time and was notabsorbed by the thing.

Not until then did he recover and regain his strength. The sudden scarehad almost made him breathless and it took a few seconds for hisbreathing to go back to normal.

Austin heaved a long sigh of relief when he felt re-energized oncemore. Thankfully, he didn't have to start all over again.

Using his inward vision, he chanced a glance at that thing with fear as ifit were something horrible. He was afraid to provoke it again.

What the hell was inside his body and why was it eating vital energy! Was it a parasite?

If he did not drive it out of his body here and now, then what if someaccident happened in the future? That thing would eat all of his energyand not let him recover.

The whole affair was much like a bomb had been buried in his body. Noone knew when it would suddenly explode. So right now, the biggestproblem was, how could he get it out of his body? Austin was at a loss.He really wanted to cry at that moment.

"Haha! Providence willed it that I should escape death. I really have theluck of the devil."

Suddenly, a peal of laughter rang out from inside Austin's body. Thelaughter was full of excitement and the tone with which it was utteredexpelled a sense of arrogance.

"Who are you? How did you get inside of me?"

Austin asked, turning pale with fear.

Looking inside of himself with his spiritual sense, he saw a figure slowlyemerge from the glistening white mass in his elixir field. What was it?Was it a bird? Was it an insect?

No wait! When he looked closely, it turned out to be just a littlemonkey, only about the size of a walnut. Yet Austin was scared anywaybecause it had still eaten all his vital energy.

Although the monkey was small in size, the red aura that he gave offmade him look extremely powerful.

Hearing Austin's question, the monkey responded pretentiously, "It wasreally unexpected that such a nidering thing as the earth spirit fruitwould save my life at this key moment. Otherwise, all I had was asnowball's chance in hell!"

'Is the earth spirit fruit a nidering thing?" Austin thought to himselfwhen he heard what the little monkey had said.

The tone of the little monkey deeply stunned Austin. It was arrogantbeyond imagination.

He had not expected that the earth spirit fruit, which had taken his life'sworth of fight to gather, would become a low thing in his mouth.

"Who the hell are you? Why are you in my body?"

Austin asked again.

"You don't need to know who I am. All you need to know is that you area lucky person because your pathetic shell of a body is going to bededicated for me now. I am going to kill you and take over it! And justremember that today is the most important day of your life. Today, pathetic human, is the day that you serve a purpose greater than anyother!"

The little monkey told him in a defiant manner.

Hearing this, Austin had a premonition of impending doom.

What did he mean "serve a purpose"?

"Get out of my body right now you parasite, or you're going to regretever being born," Austin snapped furiously even though fears loomedlarge in his mind.

He found the whole thing so strange and couldn't figure out why therewas suddenly a little monkey inside his elixir field. But since it had eatenhis vital energy, it was dangerous and needed to be taught a lesson."And who is going to make me regret? You? Huh! Let me see how youdo me any mischief. You are merely at the sixth level of EnergyGathering Realm and I can kill you as easily as an ant. I tell you, I usedto be able to kill 100 thousand people like you with one breath.Although my cultivation base has been reduced to Earth Realm, you arenot in the position to say no when you are in front of me. From now on,you'll do exactly what I tell you to.

You know, I had made my decision to kill you there and then when Isaw you. But keeping in mind that you saved my life, I decided to talkto you first and then send you to the next world. But it turns out thateven when you bring a cow to the hall, she will run to the byre! All youare showing is arrogance!”

The little monkey replied, with his hands clasped behind his back, sending out a defiant message that Austin was his slave now.

However, Austin was in no mood for chit-chatting with the monkey atthe moment. He was burning in anxiety. Deciding that the monkey haduttered enough nonsense, he thundered, "Son of a bitch! Get out of mybody!"

He murmured a formula, arousing the vital energy in his elixir field toflood toward the little monkey, hoping that the overload would drawhim out.

However, the little monkey turned a blind eye to the surge of vitalenergy, for it had no effect at all when it lashed on the little monkey."Haha! Ignorant boy. I am only a piece of spiritual soul right now and itis useless to try to hurt me with vital energy.

But in any case, since you're in such a hurry, I'll be a kindhearted personand send you to your death as soon as possible.”

As soon as the little monkey finished his words, he disappeared fromthe elixir field with a glint of red light, and re-appeared the very nextmoment in Austin's Soul Sea.

Looking around, the little monkey was surprised to replace that the SoulSea of this man was extremely vast, quite unlike a usual cultivator atlevel six of energy gathering realm.

“This is unbelievable, * the monkey told himself in disbelief.

"Get out!”

With a furious roar, Austin’s spiritual soul also appeared in his Soul Sea,pouncing on the little monkey violently. He had half a mind to wring itsneck there and then but was curious too.

Therefore, he hit the little monkey's spiritual soul heavily with a punchand threw him far way at once.

"This is impossible! How could your spiritual sense be so strong!"

the little monkey exclaimed. His voice was full of panic now as ifsomething terrible had happened and he no longer looked like thearrogant bastard as before.

He had just behaved in a defiant way, talking as proudly as a cock. Now, however, he was suddenly showing a picture of confusion andnervousness.

The truth was, although the little monkey used to be very powerfulsome time ago and there were very few people indeed who couldmatch him in strength and spirit throughout the whole Prime MartialWorld, right now, at that moment, his strength was only at the level ofEarth Realm

while the spiritual sense of Austin was surprisingly, at the level of theMysterious Realm. Austin had already been able to release his spiritualsense and his strength was clearly superior to the little monkey whowas only a remainder of a lost spiritual soul.

In fact, the little monkey was the same great ape who had foughtfiercely with the other three monsters in the depths of the GrandDesolation Mountain. During that fight, he had been almostoverpowered and had to resort to a forbidden martial art at theexpense of his blood essence in order to finally escape the pursuit ofother monsters. This, however, had cost him.

His body was destroyed, leaving only his spiritual soul behind and hewould have been obliterated very soon.

Even his spiritual soul had almost fallen into oblivion. But fortunately, the six earth spirit fruits which Austin had consumed after being takenby him had saved his life in time.

What was ironic was that even though the original remainder of his soulwould have vanished between the Earth and the Heavens if Austin hadnot saved him, he was still hell-bent on getting rid of Austin until justnow.
