Hannah finally looked at her and said, “You talk too much.

Meanwhile, Melina, unaware of Ryleigh’s messages, hadn’t responded-not out of choice, but because someone had already seized her phone.

Melina had assumed she was secure, hidden away in another country.

But as she returned to her hotel room, she realized someone was already there, waiting for her.

Sensing danger, she quickly turned to flee!

But a cold voice stopped her.

“Do you prefer I shoot your left leg or your right?”

Melina spun around, locking eyes with the man and woman in the room, her gaze shifting to the guns they held.

“I don’t know who hired you, but I have money! I’ll pay you double! In fact, triple, four times more! Just let me go!”

Dilan and Kite exchanged a glance.

They had researched Melina’s background before accepting Hannah’s task.

Toying with her, Kite pretended to be swayed by greed and nudged Dilan’s gun.

“Can you really offer that much?”

“They paid us well.

Failing the job would cost us not just money, but also our reputation,” Kite said, showing Melina five fingers.

After pausing for a few seconds, she added, “But money is always key in our line of work.

I want ten times what we were promised.

Can you afford that?”

Melina quickly replied, “Five million? Sure! I’ll transfer it now!”

” Kite sneered and flipped her hand.

“I meant ten times five million.

You owe us fifty million.

”

“What? Fifty million?”

It wasn’t that Melina refused to pay; she simply didn’t have fifty million on hand.

She had left with only twenty million, and her family was currently in crisis, unable to provide such a sum.

Seeing Melina’s hesitation, Kite’s smile grew.
