“I’ll inform the boss,” Dilan replied, leaning against the couch and dialing Hannah’s number.

The moment the car pulled up outside the police station, Hannah’s phone buzzed.

She glanced at the caller ID before picking up the call.

“Is she in custody?”

“We can deliver her whenever you say,” Dilan said from the other end.

With a sly grin, Hannah replied, “Bring her over now.

Make sure our people keep an eye on her, and don’t let anyone else get to her first.

“Understood, boss,” Dilan said.

He then quickly added, “Boss, since the Chadwich family collapsed, the other major factions have been making moves.

A conflict could break out at any moment.

When will you be back?”

Hannah paused briefly before replying, “A few days from now, once everything is sorted here.

I’ll arrange a flight after that.

“Boss, things could escalate by then.

Just keep me updated.

If it’s too risky, maybe stay put for a while longer,” Dilan said.

“We’ll see.

Let’s handle your situation once I’ve wrapped things up here.

“Alright.

After Hannah ended the call, two officers escorted Ryleigh past her.

Hannah shrugged indifferently and said, “I still have some questions for you.

Inside the station, about thirty minutes later, an officer emerged with some paperwork.

“Ms.

Moore, she confessed everything.

She arranged for the car to be sabotaged but claims someone else orchestrated it.

Ms.

Hopkins requested a private conversation with you, Ms.

Moore, to discuss a possible settlement.

Dotson frowned and scoffed, saying, “Why should we make peace with her? There’s no reason to waste time talking!”

However, Hannah shrugged and said, “Doesn’t matter.

Just wait outside for me.

I’ll handle this alone.

Inside the interrogation room, after the security camera was turned off, Hannah took a seat across from Ryleigh.

With handcuffs on, Ryleigh glared at Hannah.

“Happy now? No one is left to threaten you.

“If you’re just here to waste my time, I’m leaving,” Hannah responded coldly and stood up.

“Don’t go!” Ryleigh called out urgently.

When Hannah sat down back, Ryleigh cleared her throat and said, “I’ll tell you everything.

It was Brodie who gave me orders.

The Hopkins family is now under his thumb, and we’re on the brink of collapse.

I was cornered and betrayed!”

Smiling faintly, Hannah replied, “It seems more like greed than desperation to me.

You think obeying Brodie will bring you and your family back on top.

You know, some people think they can outsmart everyone, only to fall into traps themselves.

Feeling exposed, Ryleigh shut her eyes and muttered, “Even if you’re right, what does it change? You can only focus on me.

If you’re so capable, go after Melina and Brodie instead!”
