The Unwanted Luna
Their Mate, My Saviors Chapter 101

-POV Ayame-

"Are you sure you are okay, little one?" Conri asked me one more time while Vil and Edon contemplated if they really should follow along with the plan we set in motion at the beginning of this week. They said they would make it stop and I believed them. I won't worry about this anymore. I can do this.

"Yes, I'm sure. Please go. The other alphas are waiting." I said, kissing each of them for good measure.

"We will protect you this time. You understand?" Edon swore.

"Yes I do, but I know we can do this." I added.

"Protect her Vince." Vil growled lowly.

Vince nodded and my triplets shared a knowing glance before racing off without a second glance.

Along with my mates, the wolves, Lycans, bears, and cats moved right into action with their leaders barking out orders. I was left with Vince and three other gammas from the allied packs. Any of the women that were expecting were immediately removed and placed in a designated area guarded by twelve of the strongest warriors. Emily was included in that list even though she was pissed about that. I almost laughed thinking of Kyle dragging her there, kicking and screaming, but the imminent threat made the sound impossible to create this time. Sucks, but I don't care. She will not be injured because of me ever again. We moved further into the room and made sure there were no other entry points behind us, just like we had practiced. "Luna, stay close." Vince ordered, and I nodded. "Princess, are you good?" Edon called sternly. I knew they wouldn't stay silent for long.

"Yes, master." I called back and he chuckled, enjoying the thought of finally hearing his rightful nickname being called.

"Good, little one. Stay with Vince and the others. I still can't replace our mother or Malerie. If she comes your way -" Conri added, but I cut him off.

"Please, stay focused, daddy, and come back to me. She will show herself sooner or later." I said sternly right back. I will be ready if she does come this way, but I'm not the only one we must protect now. With her numbers, this has gone way past vengeance. She was just crazy. A rumble of growls echoed from the men shielding me and I turned in their direction. "Sh*t." Vince called before his eyes glossed over.

"I guess it's sooner." I whimpered to my triplets as the woman of my nightmares showed herself with four men flanking behind her and her daughter on her left.

"Luna! So nice to see you again." Malerie mocked angrily. Hearing my title from her mouth almost felt like acid burning my skin. "Love the new look." Ugh, again with that condescending tone.

I felt my eyes shift from my wolf and back. So, they were right. Malerie was with her mother. I took a deep breath and held myself straighter as the gammas pushed me back and elongated their claws. "Come willingly Donna or you will be killed!" Vince called, thankfully respecting my wishes. She needed to be removed, but if we could settle this peacefully, that is always my priority.

Donna stopped in her tracks and growled. "I am the Luna Mother! You will treat me with respect. How dare you speak my name while you protect that family wrecking slut!"

Vince shook his head slowly. "Sorry Luna. I don't think she will be going down peacefully." Vince reluctantly stated through our link.

"It's okay. We had already discussed that my plan may be futile." I sighed, knowing that now, we would have to kill her. Like Vince said, going down peacefully is no longer an option.

"Alright, now that that's settled.... Alphas, she's here, with us!" He called out to the main link, and howls were heard from every direction. It even made Donna twitch.

Once Vince set off the signal, he nodded once at my resolution and brought his attention back to the task at hand. "You lost that title when you were banished!" Vince shouted through his fangs. His wolf was there and accounted for.

"We are coming. There so many rogues!" Vil shouted and grunted harshly as they continued to fight. "This is fucking annoying!"

"She only has four men with her here and Malerie is by her side." I called back to give them an update.

"That's good, angel. Keep them distracted and stay with your security. We love you." He called before the link was abruptly cut off. I heaved a breath and turned back to the threat myself.

Donna raised her hands and shrugged. "Oh really, because the three hundred men and women under my control beg to differ!" She shouted.

The four men behind them stepped in front, ready to fight the gammas. "Vince, they aren't ranked members. All four are rogues just like our informants told us." The Green Leaf gamma called. "I can tell."

"Good, make short work of them!" He growled back and they lunged for the target.

I pushed myself back and kept my eyes on the mother-daughter duo. "Awwwh, poor little Ayame. Still just as dirty and useless as I last saw you. Some stupid haircut isn't going to change that!" Malerie spat at me. She looked completely different than the last time we saw her, all disguises aside. Her normally straight platinum blonde hair was tied up in a braid and her clothes looked like hand me downs someone found in the garbage. I never thought in a million years she would ever wear anything less than a couture spandex dress. Even her shoes were combat boots instead of those death-defying heels. However, unfortunately for her, the clothes don't make the warrior.

"Malerie, enough bantering. I'm allowing you this one chance. We were lucky to replace her first, so make short work of her!" Donna called, using Vince's words against me. "Remind her what a Lycan can do."

Vince was preoccupied and they had all shifted already, fighting the rogues of varying species. It looks like more of her minions joined the party. "Vince!" I squeaked through the link. I started to hear mumbles again and it didn't help to hear two of them first hand. "Run, Luna! Get out of here!" He shouted back, breaking my pain before it began.

I looked between him and the younger sister of my mates, gritting my teeth, forcing those thoughts to go away. Just like my triplets and I practiced. I can do this. I can't keep running. If I keep running, the voices will continue to come back. I...I can't. I have to face my fears to vanquish them. Malerie roared and shifted as her movements were a speed I'd only seen in the Lycan warriors, but it wasn't as smooth as them. There were gaps. Gaps I can exploit.

I slipped my knife out and flung it directly at her. She skidded to a halt in her tracks as the blade pierced her shoulder. I used this time to flick off my heels to make sure I wouldn't be knocked off balance. A screech fell from her lips as her spirit ripped out the blade, creating a gushing wound. I took the opportunity to lunge at her and shift, clamping my teeth around her neck and slamming her body into the ground. "I'm sorry Ayame, but I can no longer let her live." My wolf whispered before snapping her neck without hesitation. I don't know why she is apologizing. We planned for this. We can do this.

"No, we planned for this. No arguments here." I hummed back, eerily calm, while she yipped in agreement. I shifted my weight and turned on my paws to stare at the screaming mother.

"No! No! My baby!" Donna shouted as Vince's group started to overwhelm the remaining men and women still standing, desperately trying to come to Donna and the now deceased Malerie's aid. "You die today!" She shrieked before her blonde wolf appeared and went straight for me. I narrowly made it out of the way and she went for me again. This time we clashed and our teeth and claws went for whatever opening they could get. Unlike her daughter, Donna will not go down as easily. She may not have shifted a lot during her reign, but something about her fighting skills made me think this woman had a past that included much bloodshed. Finally, I saw an opening, and clamped down on one of her legs, shattering it to bits.

She howled and pushed herself back up, slowly limping further away from me. The only problem was, my back was now to the gammas' fight, but I trusted Vince and the others to fight them back and keep the threat off of me. "Luna, you have done enough. Please get out of here. We are almost done here and we will catch up." Vince called back. He seemed to be easily holding his own now.

"Thank you, Vince, but I can do this. I need to do this." I called back and he sighed angrily. I'm sure he's contacting my mates to hurry up.

"We don't need our mates this time, Ayame. We are the Luna of the Tri-Shifter Pack. Remember we can kick ass just like they can!" My wolf growled, giving me the last push I needed.

"You're right!" I shouted. With my teeth barred, I went for her throat and she slashed my shoulder. I slipped and skidded across the carpet before I could get my barrings. Digging my claws into the upholstery, I prepared for another attack. She raced for me as best she could with only three legs and I braced myself before getting low and waiting for just the right time. I finally got my teeth around her neck and an ear-piercing howl erupted through the room, raddling my brain.

I gasped and clamped down at the same time. Her body went limp and I threw it towards the men fighting for the woman who now laid dead in front of them. Some took the hint and ran for the hills while others still fought as if they owed it to her. I fell to my belly as my breathing became erratic. "D-daddy?" I called through the link.

There was a pause, but I felt his voice in my mind within seconds. "Yes, little one, I'm here. I'm coming." He said with a subtle pain in his voice.

I sighed in relief. "M...Master?"

"I'm here too, princess."

I felt my heart leap in my chest as I closed my eyes and decided if I should ask or not. I opened them to Vince throwing a blanket over me while he started barking out orders to the other men carrying out the bodies. I shifted back and waited to ask. I couldn't. I didn't want to because I already knew. After the link cut off last time...there was something off about it. "Sir...please...are...are you okay?" I whimpered. The moments ticked by and there was nothing.

Like I thought. Radio Silence.
