The Wannabe Warrior
Chapter 88

Madison POV

This was sickening, I wanted to rip his throat out, at least this one did not want to kill an innocent child, and I am so very glad Malcolm was dead and had suffered a lot.

Dad was slowly losing his temper and we could tell; at any moment he would lose it.

‘Have you done that to others, the dismembering I mean?’ Dad asked, still sounding eerily calm.

‘Yep, about eight months ago, I was sent to the Northern pack to make the Alpha see that we meant business. I had a sweet young girl. We don’t think she was much over eighteen. Me and Tatta and Slosh, we found her in the forest. When she was out swimming in the water hole. We were just a little way away from the packhouse. We took turns enjoying that young girl. She seemed to be okay with us taking turns. We wondered if she was the pack w***e or something, as she sure knew what she was doing, and then when we had enough of her charms, we left the pieces near the packhouse for the members to replace, worked a treat. The Northern Alpha called Malcolm that day and agreed to his terms. The methods Alpha uses get the results.’ He smirks as he said the last part.

That was the last thing that guy should have done. Dad couldn’t handle the smirk on that guy’s face. I was sure dad would lose it for sure now.

Dad turned to face me, his face twisted with the rage that had built up inside of him.

‘Madison, please, leave now.’ He begged me with what little control he had left.

‘Dad, I need closure too.’ I argued.

‘You should never see this side of me, please baby girl go.’ He urged.

Seeing him so desperate for me not to see him kill this man, I nodded and left the room, and headed back upstairs. I thought I could watch it on the monitor.

I carefully looked at the screen at the dungeon door, to check if no one was near this hidden door. Seeing it clear, I left the dungeons and was going to head to the monitor room.

Having entered the small room, I had leaned over to reach the opening of the hidden entrance, when the door opened and in walked Alpha Frederick. I changed what I was going for and pulled a book from the bookshelf instead. That was how we kept the room looking used. We had books filled the shelf and paperwork on the desk, and I turned around to see who had entered, though I already knew by his scent.

‘Oh, good morning, Alpha.’ I greeted him politely.

‘Morning, what is this room?’ he said, looking around.

‘A place I like to go to when I want some time alone, and to get some of my work done.’ I replied as I placed the book on the table and was relieved when I saw I grabbed the book with the names of whom we had sent out ball invitations and who had replied so far.

He looked down at the book I had just placed on the table.

‘You are part of the ball organising?’

‘Yes, will you be attending the ball?’

‘Yes, I think I will. I need a second chance, mate.’

‘Will you be staying here until the ball?’

‘If the room is available, that would be preferred. There is little I need to do back at the pack at the moment, my Beta will inform me if anything arises that I need to attend to.’

‘You are more than welcome to stay, it is good to know, so I can make other arrangements for that room.’ I replied as I sat down at the desk and opened the book.

He looked around the room a little longer, noting the books on the shelf and the cabinet by the wall, and he walked over to the table that had the makings for coffee. He lifts his hand as if to take the kettle and then changes his mind.

‘The ball should be fun; I look forward to it.’ He said and walked out of the room.

Instead of entering the monitoring room, I grabbed the book and headed to the Alpha office.

I knock and wait for Alpha’s permission to enter.

When the call came, I was relieved to see he was in the room alone.

‘Morning Madison, how did the time at the dungeon go?’

‘Can we talk in the other office?’

Alpha’s eyes widened slightly and nodded, locked Alpha’s door and followed him into the inner office.

‘Alpha, we have four other people that were part of the advisor’s group.’

‘Who?’

I name the three we know of and Alpha frowns at the names.

‘Frederick and Samuel were Luna’s friends and highly recommended by her. I should not be surprised, but I am.’ Alphas murmured softly.

‘Alpha Frederick is snooping. He entered the room that leads to the monitoring room. I told him it was the room I often go to when I need to be alone. I felt he was fishing for the way to the dungeon.’

‘Agreed. Let me think about this, we need to look like they are included in our meetings, and change how we do things.’

‘He is also staying to join the ball.’

‘Who have you talked to so far in the Dungeon?

‘Only two whilst I was down there. Dad did not want me to stay while they got violent. We have one in a separate cell. He might have more information, and it would be good if you could be there the next time he is questioned.’

Alpha nods and we leave the room. I unlocked the door, and sat down with Alpha and we started talking about the ball.

A loud knock resounds on his door a few minutes later.

‘Enter.’

In walks Alpha Frederick, he nods his head to Alpha Ezekiel and looks down at the book we have opened on the table.

‘Is now a good time to talk? Alpha?’

‘Madison, you may leave, we will continue this later.’ He hands me the book and I leave the room.
