Alissa's POV

"Ali, have you seen my lipstick somewhere?" Denisse asked peaking from the bathroom. "No, Denisse. I haven't seen your lipstick anywhere" I said.

She pouted and sighed in disappointment.

I chuckled.

I finished up folding the fresh washed clothes and proceeded to grab clothes to go out.

I picked out a comfy pair of blue jeans and a white tee paired with white sneakers.

I combed my straight black hair and let it down.

Denisse got out of the bathroom all dressed up.

Today is a Sunday and we planned on going out together for an all girls day out since we've been working hard in teaching the kids. We do it every now and then.

I love staying in the pack territory but it gets tiring sometimes too.

Denisse and I like to unwind when we can.

"Let's go?" I said.

Denisse nodded.

"Let's gooo!" she said excitedly as she clung onto my arms.

I chuckled and we went out of our cabin.

We made our way towards the borders to get out.

Once we reached the end of the borders, we saw Griffin with some of the other guards.

"Yo, girls!" Gunner greeted when he saw us.

Gunner was another close friend of ours and Griffin's bestfriend and right hand man.

Griffin looked in our direction and a smile formed his face.

"Hi, everyone" I greeted everyone and gave them a warm smile.

"Good morning, Isa" the other guards greeted me.

The older men called me that.

Isa is a foreign word that mean one but they call me that because they think I'm number one and an ace.

It was a really cute nickname that I've really come to like.

The nickname was given to me by the former Alpha which is Enzo's grandfather and the current Alpha's father. "Good morning, gentlemen" I said and they smiled at me.

"Hey. Where are you guys off to?" Griffin asked approaching us.

"We're off to go to the mall for a little day off. Do you have anything you need us to buy?" I asked.

Griffin shook his head.

"Nothing. I just need you guys to come back safely" he said.

I smiled.

Then, I looked to my right and saw Denisse and Gunner looking at us weirdly.

I looked at the other men as well and they had mischievous smiles as well.

Griffin coughed and I turned my attention towards him again.

"You okay?" I asked concerned.

Griffin nodded.

"Y-yeah. Of course" he said.

"Bro, you've got it bad" Gunner suddenly said.

I looked at him confused.

Gunner looked at me.

"And she doesn't even have a clue" he said and casually gave me the keys to the car that Denisse and I use.

"Who and what?" I still asked clueless.

Gunner just shook his head and sighed in disbelief.

"Enjoy your day out" Gunner said and gave me a pat on the shoulder.

"Thanks?" I said and he gave me a small chuckle.

Denisse sighed beside.

"Let's go, girl. I can't take this awkwardness anymore" Denisse said and pulled me away with her.

I waved everyone goodbye and left.

We took the car that we normally take when going out.

The pack has a few cars used by the pack members when going out of the pack territory.

The one we usually use is a black convertible.

I have a driver's license and Denisse doesn't.

She tried to learn how to drive but failed miserably.

Griffin, Gunner and I are the witnesses to how bad of a driver she is.

I love her but I would never let her near the steering wheel no matter what.

She has caused me enough trauma for a whole decade with her bad driving skills.

I started the car and we drove off.

Denisse opened the radio and we jammed to our favorite songs.

"I need to stop by the post office before we go to the mall" I told Denisse.

"Why? Are you dropping off another package?" she asked.

I nodded.

"Yeah" I simply answered.

Denisse nodded in understanding.

I send packages to Aunt Liv every now and then.

I don't put my address down because she always told me not to.

She said that it would be too risky.

I love sending her random stuff.

I knit sometimes and make clothing and accessories.

I send her some of my finished ones.

I send her photographs of the kids I teach as well.

I share precious memories with Aunt Liv in my own way.

To me, Aunt Liv was the only person in my past that was worth remembering aside from my late father.

It's the harsh truth about my past.

I found my family in people that didn't have the same blood that ran in my veins.

It's sad but it's true.

I sighed and set aside my negative thoughts.

Today is supposed to be a good day.

I don't want to ruin it for Denisse and I.

Right now, I just want to have fun and enjoy my life.

After some time, we arrived at the post office.

I got down and grabbed a box from my bag that I put in the back.

Then, I went inside the post office.

"Good morning, miss. It's been a while" the postman greeted me.

I smiled.

"It really has. How have you been?" I asked with a smile.

"Good. Thank you for asking" he replied with a bright smile.

I smiled and started signing papers for the package.

It only took me a few minutes and I finished.

"Thank you, mister" I said and said goodbye to the kind postman.

I went out with a satisfied smile on my face.

I got on the car and we drove straight to the mall.

I hope that Aunt Liv likes my gift.

After a few more minutes of driving, we arrived at the mall.

I parked the car.

Then, Denisse and I got off.

We went inside together with linked arms.

Denisse and I went window shopping like we usually do.

Then, we went to our favorite clothing store together.

I looked around if I wanted to get something.

I ended up picking a top and a pair of jeans.

I kept roaming around and saw a cute black coat.

It immediately reminded me of Aunt Liv.

"That's really pretty" Denisse appeared holding the clothes she picked out.

"It is, isn't it?" I said.

Denisse nodded in agreement.

"Will you get it?" she asked.

I nodded.

"Yeah but not for me" I said and picked a size that I think will fit Aunt Liv.

"Who are you buying it for then?" she asked curiously.

"Aunt Liv" I said and took the coat from the rack.

"Wow. You adore your aunt so much" she said.

I nodded.

"I really do. I adore her a lot" I said proudly.

Denisse and I walked to the counter.

"I've know you for a while but I've never once seen a single picture of your aunt ever. You also never talk about your other family members and that's fine and all but it's interesting how if you do talk about family, you talk about your aunt" Denisse said. "Like I said, I adore mg aunt a lot" I said with a shrug.

"In that case, she must really be so cool" she said.

I nodded in agreement.

"She's very very cool" I said.

"As cool as you?" she said.

I shook my head.

"Way cooler" I told her.

Aunt Liv is the coolest person I know.

Most wolves know her story.

She's the first female Alpha and the most powerful ruler known to wolves.

Aside from that, she's the kindest person I know.

She's strict but kind hearted.

Aunt Liv is the perfect leader and I admire her for being such a role model.

She's absolutely amazing and so much more.

We checked out the clothes that we picked out and paid for them.

Then, we headed to a restaurant to eat.

Denisse and I ordered our food and sat near the glass wall as we waited for our food.

"How come your aunt never comes to visit you or meet you?" Denisse asked curiously.

I understand why she must be curious.

She knows how important Aunt Liv is to me and she also knows her as my only family, it's normal for her to be curious as to why we haven't really personally met up again after so long.

"My aunt is a very busy woman" I told her.

"Really? What does she do?" she asked further.

"She deals with different concerns from here and there" I said with a shrug.

I couldn't possibly tell her that she technically leads the whole territory of werewolves.

I'm afraid that it will startle her.

Also, it won't be easy to explain that technically, Aunt Liv isn't a blood relative.

It will only lead to one conflicted question to another.

It's better to not be too specific.

"Is she in a pack as well or is she a rogue like you once were?" Denisse asked.

I thought about it.

Are the people in the palace considered a pack.

Maybe.

"She's kind of like in a pack" I said unsure.

"Kind of?" she said.

I nodded.

"I'm not quite sure if it can be considered a pack" I told her honestly.

She pursed her lips clearly not very amused of me.

Then, our food came.

Denisse and I had our lunch as we talked about the kids.

We loved our free days and although teaching the kids are tiring, we still wouldn't want to miss a day with them.

Dealing with kids are hard but they give us so much serotonin.

I absolutely love what I do and I don't ever plan on leaving my job or my pack.

If I ever end up replaceing my mate, I'll have to convince him to move with me because I refuse to leave my current pack.

I hope and pray that he's not someone of high position like an Alpha or Beta because that will definitely be a problem for the both of us.

Worse comes to worst, we'll have reject each other.

I don't want that to happen but I know that it's still a possibility.

Hopefully, it doesn't come to that.

I'm willing to give up anything to be able to stay in my home.

The place where I truly belong.

I know how important a mate is but I've come to a point in my life where I think that I matter more and I shouldn't let anything stop me from being happy.

The Sol pack is my family and the reason for my happiness, I'm more than contented to have them in my life.

Also, I'll have other chances to mate if I want to.

I've met quite a few mateless wolves and their absolutely fine.

Some of them are even thriving in life.

How great is that?

So now, I don't really mind being mateless as long as I can stay at Sol.

Before, I really wanted to replace my mate and spend the rest of my life with him, but my whole mindset has been changed.

I've learned a lot of things and life and I'm more mature now.

Denisse and I spent a few more hours at the mall then we went back to the pack territory.

It was a very relaxing day for us and tomorrow is another busy day with the pups.

Denisse and I arrive at the pack territory and I parked the car.

I'll return the keys to Gunner tomorrow.

Denisse and I walked inside and saw a group of gentlemen drinking by a cabin.

"I heard from a friend in the neighboring pack that the Queen has been officially passed the throne to the first prince" I couldn't help but hear their conversation.

"Really? When?" another pack member asked.

"Yesterday, I think" the other answered.

There's already a new ruler?

Aunt Liv has passed down the throne?
