The Woman From Hell
Chapter 2610

"Since when have the Yards ever spared affection? Don't compare me to you lot!"

My loathing for the Yards deepened every time I thought about my mother.

Seeing me agitated, Sylvester seemed to realize something. "Mother has been dead for so long. Why do you keep hanging on to her? Grandfather-"

"He's a cold and ruthless old blockhead who until now refuses to admit he did anything wrong. I don't respect him. I'm happy about whatever the Yards suffered this time. You guys must still be dealing with Astral Garden now, no? I won't stop. Not unless you leave Whaldorf City and get out of my sight. Perhaps then my hatred would subside."

Sylvester frowned when he heard what I said. "Grandfather had already decided to stay and develop in Whaldorf City. He won't leave. Are you confident that you'll be able to beat him next time?"

"Since I already won once, why won't it be possible to do it a second time? Silas was said to be invincible, but didn't he fail utterly with Astral Garden this time? I'm sure Yard Group's share price must have fallen quite a bit," I said with a smile.

"I didn't come here today just to return Marius to you. I also came to remind you to look out for yourself."

"Thank you for your reminder, President Yard. I'll keep that in mind."

Facing his sharp gaze, I did not back down at all.

After that, Sylvester turned around and left furiously.

Marius only spoke after he left. "Sure enough, it was over the moment I touched their financial statements."

"You wanted to look into Yard Group?"

"I thought of just taking a peek but then I was discovered. They've been suspicious ever since they got Astral Garden but they actually caught me this time. You've achieved your goal anyway." Marius spread his hands out and smiled at me. I nodded. "It's good that you got discovered. I was thinking how I was going to drag you out."

"Is that so? I thought you had forgotten about me. Since you've now reunited with Theo again." Marius' gaze lowered as if he were a little sad.

"You know."

"Your big plan has been spread throughout the industry for a long time. Everyone describes you two as being united with a single mind in everything. I don't think it's very difficult to think about it." Marius stood up after he said that and stretched. "I've finished my mission. I'm going back to rest now."

"Alright. Be careful on the way."

Marius turned back to me and gave me a faint smile before leaving the office.

His back disappeared from my line of vision and Shannon slapped my shoulder. "Wanda, Marius' love for

you is really deep. He thought he et

would have the chance when you and Theo got divorced, but in the end, it amounted to nothing I really do feel sorry for him."

Feel sorry for Marius?

The truth was I also felt sorry for him, but there was nothing I could do.

"I can't force myself to like him. Theo and I are inseparable."

"Yes, yes, yes. You two are conjoined twins. How could you possibly separate? How lucky you are to have so many people like you and who are willing to protect you silently,"

said Shannon all of sudden with some dullness.

I turned to her. "What happened? Did you fight with Jordan?"

"No. I just envy you."

"There's nothing to be envious of. Isn't it enough to be part of a pair for a lifetime?"

"Oh, you're so gross. I have goosebumps." Shannon laughed.

Just then, my phone rang.

It was Nibel.

My heart thumped. I met Shannon's gaze before answering the call.

Nibel's voice sounded leisurely, "Dear Miss Wanda, we ought to meet up now."
