To Be Yours Again novel (Alec and Jenny)
Chapter 1383 Gilbert and Marigold (58)

Marigold moved to Jenny's house the next day.

Jenny and Alec's married home was a villa that was not too big. Alec said it felt more like home, and Jenny didn't have an opinion about it. The only space they'd need was really just the bed, regardless of the size of the house.

However, because the villa was not that large, it wasn't ideal for Marigold, her child, and the nanny to live in. There was a man in the house, after all.

With no other choice, Jenny had to get Alec to sleep in another house.

Alec was grumpy about it. He only relented after Jenny promised to have a child with him once this Gilbert and Marigold ordeal was over.

That was right. After seeing Gilbert's child, Alec felt for the first time that children weren't that bad after all. In fact, they might even look really cute. Though, of course, it would have to be his and Jenny's child. "I'm sorry for bothering you, Jenny." Marigold was embarrassed when she knew that Alec had to move out.

Jenny waved her hands quickly. "Oh, nonsense. I'm the one who's bothering you. You wouldn't have had to come if I hadn't wanted to see Cal." After that, she took him from Marigold's arms. Since Caleb couldn't yet tell people apart, he didn't make a fuss when Jenny held him. He looked even cuter that way.

She just couldn't let go of him. Marigold teased, "Why don't you and Alec have a child together since you like them so much? You've been married for a while now, and your relationship is great. You can think about it."

"I am thinking about it. But because I haven't raised a child before, I don't have the guts to do it, so I asked you to take Cal over so I could try it out," Jenny said.

Marigold looked at her and bit her lip, asking, "Is that really true? When Gilbert told me about it yesterday, I thought it was just an excuse."

Gilbert was the potential heir to the Bradshaw family. Truth be told, Marigold knew that she couldn't compare to him. She had to admit that she was worried. When Gilbert said those things yesterday, her first reaction was to think that Gilbert was looking for an excuse to send her away.

"Of course. Gilbert likes Cal so much. If I hadn't said anything, he wouldn't have let you come over." Jenny smiled. Although she managed to look happy, she felt bad inside. She knew that this lie would not last Marigold would receive news of Gilbert quickly if he made moves.

Jenny didn't agree with Gilbert doing this. In her eyes, although the Bradshaws looked strong on the surface, the Walters and the Fausts could take them down if they joined forces. Gilbert didn't need to bow to them, and he didn't need to marry anyone to gain Esther's trust.

Jenny knew that Gilbert wanted to repress the Bradshaws quickly so he could be with Marigold and their child in peace. But Jenny worried that Gilbert's actions would make break Marigold's heart. When that time came, he would lose her.

However, Gilbert had already made his decision. As his sister, Jenny just had to support him. The only thing she could do now was to take care of Marigold and Caleb and keep them safe.

She looked at the baby in her arms in pity. She didn't know what would become of this. If things went according to plan, that would be fantastic. But if it didn't...

Gilbert had to step up his game. Only through his victory could he and his family live together in peace.
