To Be Yours Again novel (Alec and Jenny)
Chapter 953 We Must Divorce!

Hugo never imagined Helga would dare talk to him like that.

Pointing at her, he shouted, "Fine, woman! Before this, you pretended like you didn't want anything, but now you are fighting me on this. What can you do to me if I don't give in?"

"If you don't give in, I won't agree to the divorce!" Helga sneered. Anyway, she wasn't the one who was in a hurry.

Hearing her say that, Hugo was furious. "No way! We must divorce!"

"If you want a divorce, give me the savings!" Helga now understood that she had no reason to give Hugo's mistress any advantage. How could she and her daughter live if she gave them everything? Hugo's face turned red with anger, but he still had no intention of agreeing. Jenny couldn't stand it any longer and said to him, "Hugo, even if you look past the fact that Helga has been your wife for many years you should still think of your child. She is still young. Can you bear to let her live in poverty? She calls you 'dad.' The savings is not much for you. You still have a house and a car. If she loves you, she won't leave you just because you lose a little money."

Unexpectedly, Jenny spoke to him in a kind tone. It was mainly because she didn't want Helga to be entangled with him any longer, so she decided to do anything he could to bring their divorce earlier.

As expected, when Hugo heard his daughter's name, his expression changed slightly. "I'll make a phone call to discuss it."

Helga was angry. It was common practice to divide marital property if anyone divorced. Why did he have to discuss it with someone else?

Seeing that, Jenny stopped her from speaking in time and shook her head at her.

Hugo walked out of the ward, and Jenny said, "Let him go and negotiate. If they are in a hurry to get a divorce, they will agree."

"I'm just so angry!" Helga said.

"You have known what kind of person Hugo is for a long time. Why are you still angry over his actions?"

If Jenny were in her shoes, she would have lost all hope in him long ago. She wouldn't even be surprised by his actions.

Helga nodded after a moment of stunned silence. "Dr. Walter, you're right. I should have seen his true colors a long time ago."

She wouldn't be disappointed that day if she didn't keep hoping. She was angry because he was still in her heart. A part of her kept thinking about the beautiful memories they had shared. However, those days would never come back.

Soon, Hugo agreed to the divorce agreement as Jenny had expected. Then, Jenny took Helga out of the hospital and drove her to the court. Hugo tried to enter the car, but Jenny closed the door in his face, saying, "Mr. Hansel, I'm sure you have enough money to take a cab, right?"

After saying that, Jenny started the car and left, leaving an angry Hugo behind. Gritting his teeth, he hailed a cab to catch up.

Because they had reached an agreement, the process was very smooth. It only took a few minutes for their marriage certificate to be replaced by a divorce certificate, turning them into strangers.

Helga looked at the divorce certificate, her eyes filled with tears. However, she refused to let any tears fall. Perhaps because he had already achieved her goal, Hugo began to act like a good person, saying, "I'll go see Amy if I have time."

"There's no need for that. She's my daughter, and I'll take care of her." Hugo wasn't fit to be a father, so it would be better if he didn't show up at all.

Hugo wanted to say more, but Helga was not in the mood to listen. "Dr. Walter, please take me back to the hospital."

"Okay." Jenny nodded without even casting a glance at Hugo.

What went around came around. Jenny believed that Hugo's retribution was just around the corner.
