Chapter 362 Stop Screwing Around

Caroline immediately got up to pursue Jamie, but an employee blocked and warned her. “Ma’am,

stop screwing around! It’s very dangerous.”

Unable to reach Jamie, Caroline called out to her urgently, Jamie, don’t open the door. Stay put!”

Jamie nodded in understanding.

Caroline focused on Jamie’s pod but was interrupted by another employee urging her to leave the

platform.

Axel chimed in, trying to alleviate Caroline’s anxiety. “Mommy, Grandma wants ice cream. Let’s go

get some.”

Feeling helpless, Caroline bought ice cream with the children while keeping her gaze fixed on the

Ferris wheel

Minutes passed, and Caroline’s anxiety peaked as Jamie’s pod reached its highest point. It swayed

in the wind, causing Caroline’s limbs to weaken.

Caroline couldn’t tell if Jamie was afraid or not. She could only pray that Jamie remained still.

Meanwhile, Jamie sat in the pod, taking in the expanding view of Angelbay City. Gradually, she

felt calmer. Her mind drifted to a man she once rode the Ferris wheel with–Keane Pierce.

It had been so long that his face was now a blurry memory. She recalled his tenderness toward

her and the promises they made when they were deeply in love. He had vowed to marry her when the

Ferris wheel reached its apex.

However, fate had other plans. A month before their engagement, Draco intervened. He forcibly took

Jamie back to the Jordans and threatened to ruin Keane.

When Keane discovered what happened, he confronted Draco in a rage, resulting in a severe beating

and his disappearance.

A sudden noise interrupted Jamie’s thoughts. She instinctively looked up, and the pod began to sway

violently, startling her.

Then, the pod abruptly dropped twice in quick succession. It dawned on her–it was in free fall.

Despite the impending danger, Jamie remained strangely calm, smiling as she looked down at the ice

cream shop far below.

‘I won’t be able to say goodbye to Carol and the kids,‘ she thought, leaning against the pod wall with

her eyes closed. ‘Keane, it seems I can finally come to you…”

A few seconds earlier.

“Oh my goodness, look!” a tourist suddenly screamed near the ice cream shop, pointing at the

Ferris wheel.

Hearing the commotion, Caroline turned around while wiping Liora’s mouth. She saw Jamie’s pod

swaying uncontrollably.

Tyler gasped and dropped his ice cream. Wide–eyed, he stammered, “M–Mommy, that’s G- Grandma’s

podi

Caroline trembled, bewildered Why is Jamie’s pod swaying when the others are fine?!” she

wondered.

Before she could grasp the situation, the pod sagged twice again.

Tourists shouted, “It’s going to fall!”

“No, it won’t!” Caroline shouted in a futile attempt to reassure herself.

But then, Jamie’s pod suddenly detached and plummeted rapidly.

“Grandma!” Liora abandoned her ice cream and ran toward the Ferris wheel, her eyes filled with

panic

Axel and Tyler immediately grabbed her.

“Lia, it’s dangerous!”

“Lia, stay here!”

A loud crash echoed, and Caroline’s heart sank. She stood frozen, unable to move, as time seemed

to come to a standstill

“No! No! No! Grandma” Liora cried out desperately beneath the Ferris wheel.
