"Let's go now, it's uncomfortable listening to their conversation," Heinz slowly helped Grace to get up, "Let's go eat something and rest after that. These children have their own lives, whereas we have our own lives as well."

"Okay," she agreed. If she continued to eavesdrop on them, she would probably not want to remain alive anymore.

She and Heinz quickly left while the housekeeper came over to clean up.

When they got back to the dining area, Lester came over as well.

"Is there something urgent?" Heinz knew something happened the moment he saw him walking in.

"Yes, President," Lester answered. "I've gotten hold of some news regarding Henry."

"Really?" Heinz raised his eyebrows, "Go on."

"The reason Henry went to Australia and got arrested by the Australian police is that he was found to be kidnapping women, as well as possibly using drugs against them," Lester said, "Based on Australian laws, he would probably not be able to leave the country for at least a year."

Heinz was shocked. "Where is he now?"

"He was detained already," Lester answered.

"Arrange for someone to keep an eye on him. Once he leaves Australia, report to me immediately," Heinz said in an indifferent tone.

"Yes," Lester nodded. "There's one more thing that I have to inform you."

"Speak."

"He went over to the flower field, probably because he knew that Madam Lowe's ashes were scattered there. He was crying really badly over there," Lester updated.

Heinz frowned as his face turned cold.

He had always been speechless regarding his father.

Lester said, "He's still in the field and doesn't seem to be leaving. Should we send someone over to have a closer look?"

"No need," Heinz shook his head, "Just let him cry if that's what he prefers."

"Got it." Lester left after keeping him updated.

Heinz instantly felt his initially good mood being ruined.

Naturally, Grace heard the news as well. She said to Heinz, "Look, it's a good thing that Henry is being detained by the Australian police. Your father also learned the whereabouts of my mother's ashes, but what else can he do apart from crying about it? Therefore, looking through another perspective, isn't it an improvement that he didn't come to you despite replaceing out that her ashes had been scattered?"

He smiled wryly, "Grace, you're such an optimistic person. Yeah, I guess your perspective makes sense as well."

"You should have a drink." she poured a glass of red wine for him.

Perhaps this was the best thing to help Heinz to relax and calm down for now.

He was touched by Grace's attentiveness as he really felt that he could do with a drink or two.

Perhaps some alcohol could numb his soul, as well as his heart that was hurt all over by Lawrence.

Suddenly, they heard someone crying in the corridor. It was Maria's voice, "Aunty, Little Gary scolded me."

Grace was startled before walking over towards her quickly.

"Maria, what's wrong?" She bent down to look at her. "What happened, my darling?"

"Little Gary called me an idiot." Maria was really crying.

"I'll go and scold him now." Grace became anxious as she thought internally, "How could Little Gary scold someone as cute and sweet as Maria? He's not a gentleman at all!" Grace held Maria's hand as they walked into the room to replace Little Gary and Ernest lying on the bed while staring at the ceiling. None of them seemed to care that Maria cried and left. Grace immediately shouted at them, "Both of you, quickly stand up now!"

Little Gary and Ernest were both startled before getting up to look at Grace and Maria.

"Mommy, don't be fooled by this little idiot. She's doing this on purpose," Little Gary warned her.

"What do you mean by doing this on purpose?" Grace was confused, "What do you mean?"

Before he could say anything, Maria started sobbing again. "Aunty, look, Little Gary just scolded me and called me an idiot again, and Ernest did the same as well. Both of them don't like me anymore." Little Gary rolled his eyes. He really couldn't stand girls, especially girls who liked to cry.

Even Ernest felt awkward.

"Little Gary, you can't talk about Maria like this!" Grace was stern about it. "How could you talk to our little guest like that? Do you not realize how rude it is for you to behave like this?" "Mommy, she did it on purpose. Can't you see it?" Little Gary looked at Maria. "She just wants everyone to accompany her. Whatever, it's fine, eventually, you'll figure it out yourself."

He started to leave.

"Where do you think you're going?" Grace scolded him, "You haven't apologized to her yet."

"I'm sorry, Maria. I shouldn't have scolded you." Little Gary smiled without sounding sincere at all, "Okay I'm going to bed now. Good night, Mommy."

"Ernest?" Grace looked at him in confusion, hoping to get some answers from him instead.

However, Ernest merely smiled and said, "Mommy, why don't you accompany Maria for the night while Gary and I go and sleep now? Good night!"

Even the usually well-behaved Ernest left.

Grace couldn't believe that both little guys left.

She felt very astonished; what on earth was going on?

She glanced over at Maria.

She was still sobbing and said sadly, "Aunty, both of them don't like me. Maybe I'm just not a likable child after all."

"It's okay, you don't have to cry about it. I like you, and the two of them like you as well. They're just sleepy." Grace led her to the bed, "Come, I'll get you ready to wash up now, after that the housekeeper would have prepared some new clothes for you as well. We can sleep together after changing into those new clothes later, okay?"

"Then will you stay here with me?" Maria asked again.

She nodded and said, "Of course, I was originally planning to stay with you, anyway."

"That's great, Aunty. I really like you. Can I always sleep over at your house in the future?" Maria looked at her innocently with those big, slightly reddened eyes of hers.

Grace was startled for a moment, but quickly nodded without hesitation. "Of course you can, you're always welcome to stay here."

"Thank you, Aunty. Then, I'll ask my mommy to help me pack my items so that I can stay here for a week," Maria responded excitedly. Grace suddenly felt like she had fallen into a trap which was set by this little girl.
