When Zachary heard these words, he was furious. He stood up and walked towards Grace.

She quickly put her index finger to her mouth and made a gesture of silence to Zachary.

He frowned, and there was anger in his eyes. However, because of Grace's gesture, he stopped and said nothing.

He wanted to snatch the phone away from her hand and talk to Yvonne, but Grace's gesture kept him in check.

He knew Yvonne's temper and character. As soon as he spoke, she would immediately hang up the phone. If he ever wanted to replace this woman again or hear her say what she wanted to say, it would all be gone the moment he spoke.

He knew that he must remain quiet.

Grace saw that Zachary remained silent, and continued speaking on the phone. "Yvonne, do you mean to say that you're hiding from my cousin, Zachary Lowe?

"Yes," Yvonne admitted. "Maria is Zachary's daughter. I gave birth to her and he doesn't know about her. I know that if he replaces out, I'll be dead."

Great.

This woman was well aware of what would happen.

Zachary not only wanted to strangle her to death, but he also wanted to throttle her ten thousand times.

D*mn it! How dare she give birth to his child and run away for so many years? The last time they met in the United States, she pretended so well that nothing was amiss and even when they met the day before, she could say such hurtful words to him.

This was simply too infuriating.

He felt all the restraint that he had was gone at the moment.

He really wanted to swear.

And he also wanted to hit something or someone.

However, nothing could stop his heart from swelling with glow and happiness.

His daughter.

Yes, that was his daughter.

She was a little girl with such lovely eyes and a cute face; she resembled him a little.

Zachary felt both hateful and uncomfortable in his heart as he thought about how his child had never seen her father. He was frustrated, but he had no place to vent his emotions.

"Ah!" Although Grace had prepared herself mentally, she was still a little surprised and shocked when Yvonne told the truth. "Yvonne, where are you now? Can we meet? I can promise you that Zachary won't replace you. If you have any difficulties, just let me know. I can help."

"I don't have any difficulties," Yvonne said. "I'm sorry. Just help me pick Maria up and send her over to Zachary. I believe that he won't say no to the child as he also brought her into the world."

"Yvonne Attwood!" Zachary finally couldn't help but shout her name.

There was only silence on the other end of the phone.

"Yvonne?" Grace hurriedly called out, fearing that she would hang up the phone.

After a long time, Yvonne said, "Zachary, I'm sorry. I want to apologize. I'm sorry for my past behavior that brought you trouble. I know that you're angry with me. Just take everything that happened before as a disturbance, and I never should have given birth to your child. However, now that you know, I'm returning her back to you."

"Yvonne!" Zachary was irritated by her nonchalant statement. "Where are you?"

However, she didn't answer. After a long silence, she apologized in a low voice, "I'm sorry, Zachary, we can't meet again."

Saying that, she hung up the phone.

Grace called again, but the phone was no longer turned on.

D*mn it, this woman was quick when it came to changing phones.

Just in one day, she switched to two different phones.

Grace looked at Zachary and saw that his handsome face had turned ashen.

He was really angry. This woman left and disappeared. Now, she didn't even want her child and he could never get in touch with her again.

He was really hurt and frustrated. It took him a long while to get back on track. He felt drained.

She apologized.

She actually said that she disturbed him in the past.

He wondered and jeered on how the 'disturbance' could bring a child into the world. Did this woman think that every man on earth liked to play with women's feelings?

He was not such a man. He was serious about love and would not easily fall in love with someone.

However, in Yvonne's eyes, he and his feelings were nothing at all.

She gave birth to his child, but still had the audacity to run away.

He had not figured out what kind of woman Yvonne was.

He had once thought that he understood her, but reality had proven to him that he was wrong.

He was ridiculously wrong.

"Let's go to kindergarten." At least Grace was still reasonable. "Let's bring Maria home, then Zachary can get acquainted with her."

"Yes." Heinz nodded. "Both you father and daughter should reunite with each other and look for Yvonne later. If Maria was with you, I'm sure that her mom would look for her, and she would not leave her easily."

Grace took a good look at him. She did not want to spoil the hope but who knew?

Wasn't her own mother, Candace, a great example?

There were also some mothers who left their children behind.

Heinz was stunned for a moment as he realized that Grace was looking at him. Realizing what he had just said, he felt a little sheepish and looked at Zachary.

Zachary understood the meaning behind the exchange of gazes between the both of them.

He took a breath and said, "Let's go to the kindergarten."

Now that he couldn't replace Yvonne, he could only see the child first.

After everything was settled and he was calm, he would look for Yvonne again.

Zachary told and swore to himself that one day, she would be in his hands.

Twenty minutes later.

At the kindergarten.

They got out of the cars and went straight to kindergarten.

Sure enough, Maria was in the kindergarten.

Grace had yet to explain why they were there to Miss Holland.

Miss Holland, however, said, "Madam Smith, I just found out that Maria's dad is your cousin. She told me to just hand over the child to her dad. Oh, and here's Maria's luggage and a letter to Mr. Zachary Lowe."

Upon hearing this, Zachary's heart tightened and his eyes flashed with surprise.

Grace took it and handed it to Zachary. Then, she said to Miss Holland, "He is Zachary, my cousin, and Maria's father."

"Oh, Mr. Lowe." When Miss Holland saw Zachary, she nodded and said with a smile, "Yes, Maria looks like you."

"Thank you," Zachary thanked her out of etiquette.

"Miss Holland, can we take Maria away now?"

"Yes, you can," said Miss Holland.

"Well, I'll pick Maria up first, and pick up Gary and Ernest again later in the afternoon."

"Forget it," Heinz said, "Let's just pick all of them up together. Since all the kids are here, it would be less awkward."

For a father and daughter who were about to reunite with each other, it was perhaps best to have other kids around.

"I'll just pick them all up then," Grace said to Miss Holland.

Probably understanding everyone's mood, Miss Holland nodded and said to them, "I'm going to call the three of them out now. Please wait for a moment." "Okay, thank you."

Not long after, Gary, Ernest, and Maria came out.

Maria looked to be in low spirits.

She wondered why her mommy sent her to the kindergarten after she woke up from her nap, and why she insisted on bringing her luggage along telling her that she would be going out for a work trip. Somehow, Maria felt that her mommy was abandoning her.
