Maria walked out, looking a little down. However, the moment she saw Grace and Heinz, her expression turned into surprise.

Then, she was filled with energy.

Since they came, did it mean that she would be staying at their house that night?

She liked their house, which was lively and full of people.

Hey!

But why was there another tall man here?

He was standing there and was staring at Maria. His gaze was unblinking. It seemed a little weird to her.

She stared back at Zachary; her gaze not once moving from him as well. The more she looked, the more she thought that he looked familiar.

Where had she seen this man before?

Maria found it confusing and weird. She tilted her small head to one side and looked at Zachary.

Both father and daughter did not blink their eyes as they stared at each other.

Zachary felt excited. Seeing the little girl in front of him, standing together with Gary and Ernest, looking a tad shorter than both of them, his heart and blood were surging. This was his child.

The moment his eyes landed on her, his heart felt something that was indescribable.

Adrenaline pumped in his blood. His blood was flowing to an unbreakable point, and warmth seeped and burst within his heart.

He hesitated for a moment. He had yet to say anything. Just as he was about to speak, Maria took a step forward and spoke first.

"Uncle, you look like me." She looked at Zachary. She finally knew why this man looked familiar. He looked like her own reflection in the mirror.

However, this uncle was really good-looking. He was handsome, well-mannered, and had striking facial features.

For a moment, Maria didn't know how to describe this man standing in front of her. All she knew was that he looked kind and friendly to her. Furthermore, he made her want to call him 'dad'.

A bold thought came across her mind. Could it be that this was her dad who came from heaven whom her mom told her of the other day? Could it be that this man who looked like her was her dad? Maria's words squeezed all the adult's hearts. Grace was thrilled seeing both father and daughter reunited. She was happy for Zachary.

He squatted down and looked at the little girl in front of him with a smile. His eyes were full of tears that he could not hold back.

"You're Maria?" He looked at the child and said. He tried to control his voice from breaking, but it was obvious that he was shaken up by emotions. His voice seemed to be choked with sobs as well. Maria heard how Zachary's voice broke a little as she was a sharp child.

"Uncle, are you going to cry?" She looked at him inquisitively with her head tilted to one side, looking cute.

He couldn't help but nod his head.

Yes, he really wanted to cry.

He could feel his heart surging with emotions.

Ever since his father died, Zachary had only felt reunited and at home when he met Grace and Alice. Now, he had an additional member.

His mother was no longer the only blood-related family member he had.

He had a daughter.

His daughter had grown up so much, but he had never partaken nor joined in on her life.

He didn't know how his daughter had lived all this while.

"Uncle, why are you crying?" Maria still didn't quite understand. She just felt that this uncle was very kind and seemed close to her.

"Because of you," Zachary said word by word, "Because of Maria."

"Did I make you angry?" She was surprised. "Uncle, you are too weak. You cry so easily. You're just like me. Now that you said you're crying because of me, I also feel like crying now." Within a few seconds, her eyes turned red.

Her tears came quickly. In a while, she burst into tears.

Zachary reached out his hands and held her in his arms. "Maria, I'm your father."

She was startled hearing that. She thought she was hearing things.

She lifted her head, looked at Zachary, and said, "Uncle, what did you say?"

"I'm your father." He looked at her, choked with sobs, and said, "I'm sorry, I just found out about you."

"Daddy?" Maria was shocked.

At first, she thought she had misheard him, but now, it seemed to be true.

He was her father.

Maria looked at him in surprise. She did not blink for a long time. She felt amazed looking at her father in front of her.

"We look alike," Maria said to herself. "Mommy said Daddy went to heaven but Gary said it was fake. It was true. My dad didn't go to heaven. He came to me."

The little girl's words made everyone have a heartache.

Grace felt sad and touched knowing the truth.

Gary exclaimed in shock. "Erm, I didn't expect that Uncle Zachary would be Maria's father. It's unbelievable."

"Uncle Zachary is Maria's father! Then we are relatives. If so, we will be playing with Maria in the future." Thinking of that, Ernest couldn't help but shudder.

That did not seem like a fun thing.

If Maria, the devil, was Uncle Zachary's daughter, would she then often live in their home in the future?

Gary and Ernest looked at each other and both of them shook their heads.

"Mommy, since they're all reuniting with each other, let's not bother them. I'll stay at school with Ernest. You guys can go back and pick us up later. We'll meet again at night." Saying that, Gray revealed a cheeky smile to Grace and said to Ernest, "Let's head back."

"Okay," Ernest agreed and both the two brothers went in.

They both went back to their class before Grace and Heinz could even speak a word to them.

Astonished, Grace watched her sons leave and she was really at a loss for words. She wondered if both her sons were really that afraid of Maria.

Her sons weren't excited at all seeing Maria reunited with Zachary, but instead, they ran away from it

Grace gave Heinz a look.

He was also helpless with the boys. He said in a low voice, "It seems that they've been worn out all night. If the children want to hide away from her for a little while, just let it be."

He was a good man this time, and let the boys do what they wanted.

Besides, now that Zachary was with his daughter, they both would probably be overwhelmed with each other, and wouldn't notice that the boys were gone.

Grace didn't have anything much to say and just

decided to let things be.

"Dad, Gary and Ernest don't like me." Though Maria was happy that she finally had her dad with her, she still never forgot what was going on in her surroundings. She puckered her lips and made a sad face. "They don't like to play with me. Is it because I am not likeable that's why it also took you so long to come to me? Gary and Ernest don't like me either."
