Chapter 1083 Do You Have Empathy?

Alice was raging deep inside. However, when she witnessed Grace's current situation, she couldn't care less about her feelings and just nodded.

"Thank you for your advice, Mr. Yarbrough. I know that it's what I should do. It's just that when I am faced with certain situations, I always can't help but be upset. Perhaps, I lack self-control."

"Are you extremely busy now?" Grace looked at her with concern. "You can explain to him that you've got your hands tied at the office."

"It shouldn't be a big problem," Grace comforted her. "Don't worry."

"Grace, you can't be so sure. Even the doctors can't be sure, right?" Alice looked at Grace's belly and said, "This is not a joke. What should we do if the twins' future is not secured and they turn out disabled?" The word "disabled" made Grace tense up. She pursed her lips and shook her head. "No, they won't." "Grace, I hope so too," Alice said. "But we can't exclude this possibility just because we don't want to believe it."

Grace got even more tense after thinking about that.

Timothy's eyes twitched aggressively a few times. He knew Alice was right, but he had no right to speak now.

Quinn's move was too cruel.

But he was careless to think that his wife was very kind as well. However, when he thought about it carefully, he found that there were many issues.

He looked at Grace's current condition and felt even more sorry.

"Alice, no matter what, the twins will be born and I believe that they will be fine."

If praying could make everything fine, Alice would also be willing to pray with Grace for her nieces or nephews to be born safely.

Jensen personally sent Quinn to the hospital. After settling the arrangements for her, he waited for the results. He hoped to get a definite conclusion, before heading to check on Grace.

The doctor arranged for her to be hospitalized after the examination. Coincidentally, Quinn's bleeding was caused by a problem in her digestive tract. She was placed under the gastrointestinal department, the same as Grace.

Jensen called Zayne to come to the hospital.

Soon, he reached. As soon as he saw Jensen, he immediately asked, "My mother was fine just now. Why did she suddenly vomit blood?"

"I don't know," Jensen said. "The doctor has not reached a definite conclusion about her condition. As for the cause, they need to examine her before they can be sure." Zayne frowned.

"You should go and sign the papers first," Jensen said.

Zayne nodded slightly. He wanted to say something but stopped on second thought.

Jensen knew what he was thinking and said, "If you want to ask your father or any other relatives for help, you can call them."

"There's no need," Zayne said in a low voice. "I don't need anyone's help."

Jensen was flustered. He looked at Zayne's serious look. It seemed that he was also a stubborn boy.

"Alright then, I'll respect your decision," Jensen made some arrangements with a policeman next to him and then he left.

He was going to visit Grace.

When he called Heinz, he was still out, so he asked for the address and went to see Grace.

That was when he encountered Alice and Timothy.

As soon as Jensen entered, he saw Alice. The two of them looked at each other but said nothing.

Only then did Jensen turn his gaze towards Grace. Noticing that Grace was a little pale, he realized that things were not as simple as he thought.

"Grace, are you all right?" Jensen asked.

"I'm fine," Grace said. "Jensen, how is Madam Berkeley?"

Jensen noticed that Alice was obviously mad at him. She ignored him and even ran away to avoid looking at him. He pursed his lips, withdrew his gaze, and looked at Grace. "Gastrointestinal bleeding. Well have to wait for the doctor's examination."

"Why is she bleeding all of a sudden?" While speaking, Grace took a look at Timothy.

She always felt that Mr. Yarbrough and Madam Berkeley's relationship was not as bad as it looked.

This time, it was all because of her. Mr. Yarbrough was feeling guilty, thus he vented his anger on Madam Berkeley.

However, once this anger had passed, Mr. Yarbrough and Madam Berkeley would definitely be able to get together again, and Grace didn't want to stand in their way.

Timothy was solemn, and he looked rather indifferent, but Grace still felt that Timothy actually cared about Quinn.

"I don't know," Jensen shook his head. "Grace. You don't look good. Is the injury serious?"

"No," Grace shook her head. "I only had it bad yesterday. The remaining pesticide resulted in diarrhea and vomiting, but there was no sign of miscarriage. The doctor said that my toxin concentration was decreasing."

"That's good," Jensen heaved a sigh of relief.

"Alice," Grace shouted in a slightly louder voice.

Alice was flustered, and she froze. She stood there and did not move for a long time. She looked at Grace, and suddenly her eyes turned red.

She had been suppressing some emotions this whole time, but she did not break when she saw Grace. However, after Jensen entered, she was on the brink of breaking down.
