"Don't you think that he always has a finger in the pie in our affairs? I really hope that he could just mind his own business."

"If he doesn't care about anything else, then would he be any different from a bookworm?" Heinz looked at Grace and continued, "He is the eldest son of the Jones family, someone who will have to take charge in the future. He must be well equipped with the ability to deal with anything."

Grace was dumbfounded. She has had the idea before, but she hadn't thought about it so deeply.

She was shocked that Heinz had already planned on training Little Gary to be his successor.

Heinz added, "I thought it was good that he went to look for Mr. Yarbrough himself. Let Mr. Yarbrough notice him and he will have his eyes on him."

After listening to his explanation, Grace felt that it made sense.

She sighed and said, "I had thought his habit of sticking his nose into our affairs needed to be changed, but after hearing what you've said, it makes sense. But he's still just a child, Heinz. Are you already planning to train him to be your successor?"

"He is the eldest son and naturally he is going to be my successor," Heinz answered in a deep voice.

"But what about Ernest?" Grace couldn't help but worry. "Heinz, you have two sons now, not one."

"What are you worried about?" Heinz smiled and asked, "Are you worried that our sons will fight over the inheritance?"

Grace nodded and uttered, "I wasn't worried at first but now that you've put it this way, I can't help but get worried."

"So we'll need to guide and educate them properly." Heinz sat down beside her and smoothed her hair. "No need to lecture him next time. He has his own way of thinking and he has a good sense of propriety. We just have to keep an eye so that he doesn't sway from the right path."

Grace chuckled as she pulled his hand down and said, "Didn't Little Gary just complained about how intimate we get? I am not a child, so why are you doing this?"

"You are now my woman." Heinz said with a self-deprecating sigh, "Wouldn't this second-hand man look like a failure in your eyes if I don't at least show my affections?"

Grace's heart ached to hear her husband mock himself. "I don't think you'll be able to shake off your role as a second-hand man." Although she said so, she still held his hand tightly.

This was her choice. No matter what kind of person Heinz was, he was her love.

Since she had decided to spend the rest of her life with him, then she would continue on no matter who he was.

Just then, Heinz's phone rang.

"I have to take this." Heinz let go of Grace's hand.

Grace responded with a nod.

Worried that Grace would be affected by the radiation, Heinz answered the call a few feet away.

"Yes?"

"Mr. Jones, Jodie was charged with kidnapping and arson. The court will hold a trial on Friday, nine-thirty in the morning." Heinz responded with a faint hum.

"Will you attend the hearing?"

"No. I've left everything to my lawyer to take charge. I've already made it clear with the police back then." "Alright."

After hanging up the phone, Heinz looked at Grace and said, "Jodie's trial will be held on Friday."

Grace was taken aback. She asked, "Is she going to be sentenced?"

"According to the lawyer, she is going to be sentenced to three to ten years of imprisonment." Heinz was calm as he said this.

Perhaps he had completely let go of his feelings for Jodie.

Seeing that he was so calm and composed, she continued to ask, "What about her mother?"

"I don't know. I didn't ask." Heinz was also very frank. "Since the time I found out Jodie had returned alive, I've never asked about their affairs and Mrs. Lawson is also no longer my responsibility." They had to reap what they sowed.

Especially for Jodie and Pearlyn.

"But you were married to her in the past. Why do I feel that, if she is really sentenced, you will be on every front page of the news?" Grace was concerned.

"Grace, we've experienced so many ups and downs. Although the time hadn't been that long, we had indeed gone through fire and water. Do you think I'm still the person who would be crazy about how the public thinks of me? Honestly, I don't think anyone can condemn me as badly as our son would. I can even smile and accept his mockeries, so why would I care what strangers think? All I care about is if you all will be happy, or would any of you be affected."

"I won't be affected." Grace chuckled and added, "I think both of us have grown quite a bit, we are more mature now. Only by this way, we can face all the problems ahead of us wisely."

"So you can be my wife at ease." He held her hands tightly as he stared at her affectionately and said with a deep voice, "Nothing in this world can ever change our relationship." "But I can." Grace felt as if she had promised to marry him.

He held her hands even tighter as he smiled.

He was certain she was his future and his happiness.

Jodie was his immature past and he had paid the price for his immaturity.

Now,

none of it mattered anymore.

The weekend arrived in a blink of an eye.

The secret wedding Heinz had planned for Grace was right around the corner.

However, he hadn't told her about it yet. He had initially planned for the wedding to be held at four in the afternoon and got the butler and servants to prepare the banquet in secret first.

While he would only tell her an hour before the scheduled time so that she could get her clothes changed and make-up done as the guests arrive. Then everyone would enjoy a lively meal as the guests witnessed their wedding.

However, when Grace got up in the morning, she noticed a sunroof was placed on their lawn and a huge air conditioner was installed in it too.

She knew that it was for their wedding ceremony.

But Grace grew anxious as he hadn't told her anything about the wedding, and it was already noon.

If Heinz was still reluctant to inform her, she might not have much time to get prepared for the wedding. Heinz tried to keep this wedding a secret from Grace but in actuality, she had known about this all along. She really wanted to try the wedding dress to see if it would fit her. Moreover, she felt that her belly had grown even more.

The babies in her belly are growing at a rapid pace.

Heinz, on the other hand, still hadn't asked her to try out the dress.

She really couldn't hold it in anymore; she wanted to take the matter into her own hands.

Grace went straight to the guest room.

She knew that the jewelry and the wedding dress were kept in the guest room.

When got to the door, she was hesitating whether she should go in.

Just then, she heard Heinz's voice behind her, "Grace?"

She nervously turned around to look at Heinz and said, "Heinz, I... I was just simply walking around."

She didn't want to spoil his plan, feeling that she could still wait a little longer.

Heinz walked over. When he saw how nervous she was, his expression changed. He looked at the door, then back at Grace, and asked hesitantly, "You... have you found out something?"

After a pause, she smirked and answered, "Are you still not willing to say it? If you continue to keep quiet would I still have time to alter my wedding dress?"
