True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1104
Only until this very moment, Heinz was certain that Grace had known about his plan all along.
He shook his head and chuckled. Then, he looked at Grace and said, "I thought you didn't know. When did you replace out?"
Grace tilted her head and looked at him with a smile. "When you brought back the wedding dress."
Grace told him what she knew.
"So early on?" Heinz felt helpless. "I wanted to give you a surprise so I've planned this in secret. Who would've thought you knew it all along."
"Yeah," Grace confessed. "I have been waiting all this while for you to tell me on your own, but you never did. If my guess is right, today's our wedding day, isn't it? I'm sure you've invited all our friends and family, but let me ask you this, Mr. Jones. Did you invite Hermione?"
"Hermione?" Heinz was puzzled. He seemed to have no idea who she was referring to.
But almost immediately, a person flashed across his mind and he asked, "Do you mean the chief editor from your magazine company, Hermione?"
"Yeah."
"Of course," Heinz said, "I've also invited Old Master Carter, Mr. Yarbrough, Zayne, Zachary, Aunt Nerissa, Maria, Alice, Jensen, Hermione, and even Tyler."
"You even invited Tyler?" Grace was quite surprised to hear his name on the list.
"Yeah, I did." Heinz would not let go of any opportunity to let his rival in love give up on pursuing his wife.
With this opportunity, he could officially introduce Grace as his wife to Tyler.
He could also incidentally show off the twins in Grace's belly.
Heinz firmly believed that Tyler would completely give up on pursuing Grace after that day.
If his memory served him right, ever since he and Grace went through fire and water and finally got together, Tyler hadn't bothered them any more.
Grace nodded and replied, "Okay then. Mr. Jones, would you be so kind as to open the door? I would like to try on the dress."
She didn't think too much about it and thought that it was good that he was invited. She had been friends with Tyler for a long time, it was good that he could witness her happiness. Heinz opened the door and let her in.
Suddenly, Grace thought of something and asked, "Heinz, did you not invite your dad over?"
Heinz's entire body stiffened and his expression turned gloomy.
He was upset because he still hadn't been able to move past this hurdle in his heart.
Grace grew worried. "Heinz?"
"He doesn't need to attend, I don't need him to attend," Heinz said. "Grace, can you understand that I don't want him to be here at a time like this?"
She stared deeply at Heinz and nodded in the end. "I understand your feelings very well. If you don't want to, then so be it.
But I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that you can move past this hurdle. I already did. Compared to our happiness, none of these hurdles matter. Especially after experiencing so many ups and downs, they are merely trifle ordeals in our lives.
That's all.
So why don't we throw all these worries away and cherish our future and happiness?
Heinz, you are a smart person, and you also know to cherish your blessings."
Heinz nodded as he stared at Grace. Then, he smiled and said, "Come on, I'll help you put on the dress."
Grace was taken aback. Seemed like the reason he was reluctant to bring up Lawrence was because of the damage that was done.
He still minded.
It seemed that Lawrence had truly hurt him deeply.
No!
Perhaps, because Lawrence had deeply hurt Heinz's mother, Heinz held a grievance against him for her sake.
A grievance for his mother's misfortunes. She was never truly happy in the best years of her life, instead, she died from depression.
It was not easy on him.
Grace sighed in her heart and said, "Okay."
Heinz took out the wedding dress and showed it to her. The dress was as white as snow and so beautiful that it made her tear up.
"You won't be wearing it for too long since the weather is getting much colder and you' re pregnant. It's just for formality's sake. After that, you'll have to keep it in a safe place. We'll hold a grand wedding after you've given birth and let the whole world know that you are my wife."
"No, just once will suffice." Grace shook her head. "I don't want to go through this all over again. I'm happy with this."
"But this wedding is too small!" Heinz said, "I can give you a grander wedding. I don't want you to marry me so poorly."
"Heinz, love is the very foundation of a marriage. Even if there is no wedding, we can still live happily ever after. No matter how grand the wedding is, it's just a gesture and it doesn't guarantee a happy marriage." She gave Heinz a warm and gentle smile and added, "Help me with the dress."
Heinz made up his mind and began to help her unbutton her clothes.
Grace shut her eyes and felt his gentle movements. After he was done helping her with the wedding dress, she stood in front of the mirror, surprised to see how beautiful she looked. Heinz hugged her from the side and whispered, "Gorgeous."
She looked at herself in the mirror. The wedding dress flared out at her waist; it perfectly covered her pregnant belly.
It made her waist look slimmer and her face mellow. She looked extremely gorgeous.
Heinz measured Grace's waist and said gently, "Just the right size."
Grace nodded and answered, "Yes, it fits perfectly. I can still wear this even if my belly is larger. How did you get them to design such a perfect dress?"
"Anything is possible if you pour your heart and soul into it," Heinz said.
He was right.
When she was still looking at herself in the mirror, Heinz had already taken out the jewelry box and put the necklace on her.
The moment she saw the luxurious jewelry on the neck, her eyes were filled with tenderness.
Heinz helped her put on the earrings. The whole set was perfect.
Looking at her, Heinz couldn't help but exclaim. "I didn't expect them to be such a perfect match with the dress. I'll get the makeup artist to come now to help you put on some light makeup. Let's take a wedding photo before the guest arrives, alright?"
"Wedding photo?" Her heart leaped for joy. Of course, she wanted to take a picture in the wedding dress. This was easily what most women hoped for.
"You don't want to do it?" Heinz was worried about how tiring it would be for her.
"No, I like it very much." Grace exclaimed, "You go ahead and get ready. We should take a few sets."
"All right."
Soon, Heinz brought the makeup artist over to do her makeup.
She just put on light makeup and she didn't even have lipstick on. She was afraid that the lipstick would be bad for the babies in her belly.
The makeup artist said after she was done, "It would be better if your lips were a little redder. This color is too pale."
"That's easy!" Heinz, who had just finished changing into his tuxedo, came over and kissed her on the lips. A minute later, her lips turned rosy-red and her complexion looked much better.
