True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1155
Yvonne didn't sense anything wrong so she answered truthfully, "Yeah, I used to make coffee every day."
"For who?"
This time, Zachary finally asked the question he truly wanted to ask.
Yvonne was startled, and only then did she realize something amiss. She responded, "For a friend." Zachary fell silent.
He placed his coffee cup on the table; it made a crisp sound upon contacting the table.
Yvonne noticed the change in his expression and thought that he had probably misunderstood her words.
She didn't want to explain as sometimes, less is more.
They hadn't established trust with one another.
If anything, the trust they had for one another was too weak.
The more she explained, the more likely he would think she was trying to conceal something.
Therefore, she merely smiled without saying anything.
"Leave," Zachary finally spoke.
Yvonne could only nod, "Yes, President."
She turned around and left without having any intentions to explain anything.
Zachary looked at her back as she walked towards the door. Her back looked so thin, yet stubborn at the same time.
He narrowed his eyes and spoke again, "I need to attend a banquet tonight. Prepare a set of formal attire for me and yourself. You're accompanying me tonight."
Yvonne stopped in her tracks. She turned around and looked at Zachary shockingly, but quickly calmed herself down.
She asked Zachary, "What kind of banquet is it?"
"A business engagement," Zachary answered.
"Then I'll prepare something more formal," Yvonne responded, "Will something darker in color do?"
"Okay," Zachary answered.
Yvonne nodded, and only then did she say, "Is there any special place where you normally shop for such formal clothing?"
Zachary glanced at Yvonne and responded coldly, "Are you asking me such a question?"
Yvonne was startled. She immediately said, 'TH ask Aidan about it."
She also realized that she had spoken too much.
Zachary frowned but remained silent as he pursed his lips.
Yvonne looked at him before turning around to leave.
The door was closed again.
Zachary frowned and thought to himself, "Seems like she's adapting quite well."
It seemed that this woman was good at adapting to new environments.
In fact, she had exceeded his expectations.
Just then, the phone rang. Zachary picked it up and saw the person calling was Heinz.
He answered.
"Heinz?"
"How is it? Is your relationship back on the right track?" Heinz asked jokingly.
After interacting with each other rather frequently for more than a year, they had become close friends.
This morning, his people had tailed them and learned of their latest updates. Therefore, it also occurred to Heinz that he should start dismissing his men so as to not disrupt their personal lives further. "Did you send your men to tail me again?" Zachary instantly guessed it based on what he had said.
"No, they were tailing Yvonne, not you," Heinz explained, "Ever since Yvonne reappeared, my men have been following her. I'm informing you officially that I'll be dismissing them so that you won't think that I'm trying to pry into your private life."
Zachary said to the phone, "Sure, high time you do that."
However, Zachary planned to have his men tail Yvonne, as he was worried that she would suddenly disappear again.
If that were to happen, he wouldn't be able to explain it to his daughter.
"I'm planning to pay you a visit, by the way," Heinz said.
"Now?" Zachary was shocked and instantly understood his hidden intentions.
He was probably hoping to come over to watch a good show.
Dismiss his men only to personally observe the progress of their relationship, so openly as a matter of fact. Since when had Heinz become such a busybody?
"Yeah, I haven't seen you in a while. Besides, your cousin is also worried about you," Heinz used Grace as an excuse.
"Don't come over if you have nothing important. We can always talk on the phone." Zachary said.
He didn't want Heinz to come and add to the trouble.
Especially during such a moment when things hadn't really settled down.
What kind of person was Heinz?
He insisted on paying a visit regardless.
"How could I feel your warmth through the phone? I have to meet you face to face so that I can feel your warmth."
Zachary frowned and asked, "What kind of warmth is there for the both of us to feel?"
Heinz laughed and said, "I'm going over now. I should also show you some photos of Sylvia.
She's been extra cute these few days."
Zachary smiled helplessly. It appeared that Heinz was planning to show off his only daughter while he came over to watch a good show.
With three sons and one daughter, his heart was certainly softened the most by his daughter.
Zachary said, "Okay, got it. Come over if you really wish to."
Heinz said, 'TH be there in half an hour."
"Suit yourself." Zachary hung up the phone quickly.
As soon as he hung up, he reached out for the phone on his desk and called Yvonne, "Come in for a while."
Yvonne was startled, but entered his office quickly.
Zachary said, "You're going out with me."
"Now?" Yvonne was shocked.
"Yes, let's go now," Zachary said seriously.
Yvonne didn't know what was going on, but she packed up her items quickly and followed after Zachary.
They came to the company hurriedly and left hurriedly as well. It shocked everyone and they stared at them in a daze.
In the elevator, Zachary was expressionless while remaining silent on where they were heading to.
Yvonne was wearing high-heeled pumps that were approximately three centimeters tall. It made her figure look good as she stood straight next to him. "President, where are we going?" Yvonne asked.
Zachary remained silent.
Yvonne knew that she just had to follow him without any question.
She didn't know where Zachary planned to go, but it seemed to her that they were planning to leave the office.
As his personal assistant, there was only so much she could probe into.
She just had to follow him.
She had made up her mind and comforted herself, so her demeanor remained calm.
Soon, the elevator reached the lobby. As soon as they exited the elevator, they could see Heinz in his suit, smiling at them as he stood in the hall.
The way he smiled was like flowers that bloomed during spring. It looked extremely splendid.
He looked extremely handsome.
"Zachary, looks like I arrived at the right time." Heinz smiled as he looked at Zachary and Yvonne, "I figured that you might leave, so I came over earlier than planned. By the way, I was already here, inside my car while I was on the phone with you just now."
Zachary didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Heinz was so infuriating. He had already seen through him and decided to block them here.
Yvonne was dumbstruck, but she had a rough idea as to what was going on based on what Heinz had
just said.
It seemed that he was here to watch a good show.
The reason why Zachary wanted to leave hurriedly without explanation was to avoid Heinz.
When she was in a trance, Heinz was already smiling at her, "Welcome back, Miss Attwood."
