"How can I be considered childish?" Heinz burst into laughter, "This is the most basic thing in life. Don't be so melodramatic. As if I don't know anything about it."

A slight blush flashed across Zachary's face. Heinz saw it and merely fixed his gaze on him instead of teasing him.

Zachary withdrew his gaze. Without looking at Heinz, he said, "You've asked what you wanted to. Can you leave now?"

"You're already chasing me away?" Heinz looked at him bitterly, "I just got here. Besides, I haven't gotten a straight answer from you."

"What on earth do you want to ask?"

"When will you and Yvonne finally make up?"

"You're in no position to ask this. Don't have a finger in every pie." Naturally, Zachary did not want to tell Heinz all his thoughts.

"Huh, fine. I've said everything I wanted to say anyway." Heinz spoke, "Since you don't want our help, we won't interfere. But Zachary, are you sure you'll be able to have her back in your arms soon with your reservedness?"

Zachary pursed his lips and did not speak.

"Just because you two have slept together doesn't mean everything is solved. It's not that simple." Heinz reminded him again.

"I know." Zachary said lightly, "I know what to do. Don't worry."

"Alright, then I'll leave first." Heinz didn't linger around too long and left in no time.

When he went out and passed by Yvonne, he glanced at her.

Yvonne stood up, "Mr. Jones, are you leaving?"

"Yes." Heinz smiled and said, "Why don't you see me off, Miss Attwood?"

Yvonne was stunned. She then understood what Heinz had meant. Perhaps he had something to say to her.

She nodded, "Mr. Jones, please."

"Let's go." Heinz swept his gaze around and saw the secretaries who were looking at them. Then, he spoke directly, "Since when did Zachary's office have so many busybodies? Is there so little work to do? Are you all planning to change your jobs seeing that you are working half-heartedly?"

They lowered their heads in an instant; no one dared look at Heinz and Yvonne.

Yvonne also felt that her sudden arrival that day was shocking. Even she was dumbstruck by it, let alone everyone else.

Therefore, it wasn't strange for them to be curious.

Now that she was acquainted with Mr. Heinz, it made them even more curious.

Yvonne walked him to the door of the elevator and helped him press the button. While they were waiting, Yvonne took the initiative to start the conversation, "Mr. Jones, if you have anything to say to me, just tell me."

"Alright then, Miss Attwood. Let's be straightforward and not resort to insinuations. I just want to ask, do you plan to leave again after returning this time?"

Yvonne shook her head after being stunned for a moment, "I'm not leaving."

"Are you sure?" Heinz asked again.

"I'm sure," Yvonne said in a serious tone, "I won't leave again."

"It's best if you won't. You should stay." Heinz said faintly, "You may not know this. After you left, Maria had some mental issues."

"What?" Yvonne's face turned pale in an instant. She looked at Heinz, couldn't believe what she had heard, "Mr. Jones, what did you say?"

"Maria lacks love." Heinz said in a low voice, "I don't think Zachary will tell you this now. I've also promised not to let you know, but I've broken my promise."

"Mr. Jones, I..." Yvonne was slightly flustered as she hurriedly explained, "I'm not a meddlesome person. I won't say a single word. Thank you for telling me this, Mr. Jones. I know what to do."

"I hope you'll know what to do in the future. I also believe that you can make the right decision and plan your future with Zachary.

She's not as strong as you think. In fact, she's the most vulnerable. Put Maria into consideration when you make your decision. Her happiness depends on both of your decisions.

That's all I want to say. Take care of yourself. Goodbye."

After that, the elevator arrived.

Heinz smiled, entered the elevator, and left.

Yvonne stood in front of the elevator and didn't move nor said a single word for a long time.

She felt as if her heart had been pierced by his words.

There was something wrong with the child's mental health. She was lacking love?

His words deeply hurt her heart as a mother.

She wanted to look for Zachary and inquire about Maria's condition at once. But the moment she turned around, she changed her mind and realized that she couldn't ask those questions. At least, she couldn't ask no matter how desperate she was right now.

She needed time to resolve it.

Gave Maria love.

The child was probably not the only one who lacked love.

There was also Zachary.

She pursed her lips and walked back to her seat.

Just as she was about to sit down, she saw Zachary's figure. He was standing at the door of his office, looking at her with cold eyes.

Yvonne immediately composed herself, trying her best to make her tone sound calm, "President, is there something you need me to do?"

Zachary didn't speak, instead, he turned and walked back into his office.

However, he did not close the door.

Yvonne hesitated for a bit, but she still followed him into the room.

"Close the door," Zachary ordered.

Yvonne closed the door to his office immediately.

Silence filled the room.

Yvonne saw that Zachary had his back towards her. His figure was tall and straight, but stiff. His arms that were at his side were tensed, and the veins on the back of his arms were clearly visible. It was a terrifying sight.

Yvonne squinted her eyes and said, "Did you call me in for a reason?"

Silence.

Zachary still didn't say anything, but he had his fists clenched hard.

Yvonne was shocked. What was Zachary up to?

She was terrified.

All of a sudden, she saw Zachary turning around to face her with eyes full of anger.

"I have nothing to say. Don't you have anything to say?" His tone was chilly.

Yvonne guessed he was angry at her for sending Heinz off, so she immediately explained, "Mr. Jones has left. I sent him to the elevator."

Zachary squinted his eyes and suddenly approached her. In an instant, he was in front of her. His eyes were overflowing with emotions and hostility. "Did he not say anything?" Zachary uttered word by word, "He didn't tell you anything about Maria?"

Yvonne held her breath.

In fact, Zachary could foresee Heinz talking to Yvonne about Maria because he understood him, and he knew that Heinz wanted to give them a push. Heinz had good intentions.

He knew.

But Yvonne acted as if nothing had happened. She did not intend to ask about Maria.

He was furious.

Furious that her daughter's health was not important to her.

He was not important to her.

Yvonne opened her mouth, and with a hoarse voice, she spoke, "Zachary, I do want to ask, but I'm scared."

"What are you afraid of?" He instantly interrupted her and reached out his hand to pull Yvonne into his arms.
