"I know!" Tears rolled down Yvonne's face.

It was exactly because she believed he still loved her that he remained single all these years. Therefore, she believed she still had a place in his heart.

Precisely because she believed so, she dared to be courageous.

Zachary turned her over and made her face him. Then, he narrowed his eyes and looked at her, waves of emotions surged within his eyes, and he didn't blink at all. All Yvonne saw was his scarlet, bloodshot eyes.

It seemed that she wasn't the only one who didn't sleep well last night.

Yvonne's vision was blurry. She took a deep breath and swallowed back her tears, making herself think more rationally.

She lowered her head, but Zachary held her chin with one hand and lifted her face up.

She had no choice but to face him.

His tall body was pressed down with a kind of oppression, and his shadow shrouded her. He looked at her with a deep and sharp gaze as if he wanted to look into her heart. Yvonne pursed her lips. Her heart was a mess.

She had no clue as to what was on Zachary's mind right now. She also didn't know how to calm herself down. She mustered up the courage again to look at Zachary, only to replace her heart extremely conflicted. Zachary stared at her for a long time before he said, "Why did Fabian take you away?"

Yvonne was stunned. He still wanted to know about Fabian.

She said, "I needed Mr. Trevino's help."

"What kind of help?" Zachary asked in a deep voice.

Yvonne didn't say anything.

Some words, when said, were a sign of weakness.

She wasn't someone who liked to show her vulnerability, especially in certain aspects.

"Zachary, I!"

"You still refuse to say, don't you?" Zachary raised his voice slightly. "Do you really think that everything will be fine even if you don't say it?"

Yvonne pressed her lips together and shook her head.

Zachary suddenly let go of her. He pointed to the door and said, "You can go out."

This woman didn't want to reveal her secrets no matter what. She had a lot of secrets, which made him exasperated.

Right now, he was extremely vexed and incomparably frustrated.

He wanted to throw Yvonne out.

This woman had the ability to infuriate him effortlessly.

Just like that, Yvonne opened the door and walked out.

Her eyes were slightly red. She walked out with her head low as if she had been defeated.

"What's wrong?" Xandra's voice immediately rang in her ears. She arrived in front of Yvonne, holding a stack of documents in her hands as she looked at her with a smile. Yvonne didn't look at her and only said, "It's nothing."

She returned to her seat and sat down. She didn't move or speak for a long time.

Xandra looked at her, shrugged, and walked straight to the president's office.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Come in." Zachary sounded very unhappy.

Xandra pushed the door open and went in. She first peeped at Zachary and found that the atmosphere in the president's office was bonechilling.

She immediately took a breath and said, "President, these are the materials you want."

"Put it down and get out," Zachary said coldly.

"Yes, Sir!"

Xandra left.

Zachary did not raise his head to look at the files either.

The atmosphere was not quite right.

Zachary's office was shrouded in a bone-chilling atmosphere the whole morning; it was suffocating.

Yvonne was extremely quiet that morning too. She held her head low and didn't say anything, nor did she joke around.

As for Zachary, he never came out again.

Until ten minutes past noon, he got a phone call.

A strange man called him. "Is this Zachary?"

"Yes." Zachary frowned. "Who is on the line?"

"Fabian Trevino!"

The person on the other side of the phone stated his identity.

Zachary was slightly stunned. "It's you?" "Yes, it's me." Fabian said calmly, "Let's meet. I'm sure you have a lot of questions."

That was indeed the case.

But when he thought of the man having a know-it-all expression, he frowned. "Is it necessary for us to meet up?"

He couldn't bring himself to be polite to the man who had taken Yvonne away for more than a year, and he was told that Fabian also helped Yvonne a lot in the United States. Fabian smiled and said, "Why not? You don't dare to come and see me? Are you afraid of hearing something you don't want to hear?"

"Why wouldn't I dare?" Zachary lowered his voice and said, "Where are we meeting?"

"Up to you." The person on the other side of the phone was calm and easy-going.

Zachary decided on a place that was outside his company.

He knew very well that Yvonne could never replace out about this meeting.

He wanted to know what was going on.

Sure enough, Zachary saw Fabian at the appointed location.

He was a peerless beauty. He looked very feminine, and his face carried a sense of feminine beauty.

His skin was smoother than a woman's. He was not very tall, but definitely more than 1.75 meters. He had a slim figure; his delicate facial features showed a feminine look; his short hair was neat. When he saw Zachary, he smiled slightly but didn't extend his hand, not intending to shake hands.

Zachary naturally didn't want to do anything unnecessary either.

He looked at him and said, "Please take a seat."

They met in a cafe. He ordered a pot of Earl Grey tea.

Fabian looked at him and sat opposite him. He smiled faintly and said, "I'm sure you must have a lot of questions, Mr. Lowe, so I have come to answer them."

Zachary looked at the man wearing a faint smile. It seemed that Fabian knew a lot of things, whereas he was like a fool who didn't know anything.

He was pissed off in an instant.

But he still had to be polite and well-mannered, at the very least. He looked at Fabian in bewilderment as he couldn't replace anything on this man no matter how hard he investigated.

It seemed that this person had a powerful background. He looked rather young, maybe about twenty-five or twenty-six years old.

He didn't hide anything and said bluntly, "Yvonne said that you helped her a lot during her time in the United States."

"Yeah." Fabian nodded and admitted unceremoniously, "I guess you can put it that way."

"In that case, I have to thank Mr. Trevino."

"And what identity are you using to thank me, Mr. Lowe?" Fabian's tone was indifferent. "As Yvonne's benefactor or as Yvonne's lover?"

"As the father of her child." Zachary did not choose either. Instead, he disclosed his identity.

Fabian smiled; his face looked even more feminine because of it.

Zachary looked at this man who was even more beautiful than a woman, and he was filled with even more questions.

He was surprised that Yvonne did not fall in love with such a beautiful man.

"That's a good answer." Fabian leaned back lazily and looked out of the window, "Mr. Lowe, I'm sure you are curious about how Yvonne lived in the past year, right?" "Just say it," Zachary commanded as he didn't want to beat around the bush.
