"He uses my mother's maiden name," Ernest explained. "My mother raised him up since birth. It wasn't until we were five that our parents got together. Hence, that's why his last name is Smith. He never

changed it."

"That's weird. It doesn't sound like something he would do."

"My brother is very persistent. Once he's made up his mind, he is not going to change."

As Ernest spoke, his eyes fell on Celeste, as if he was implying something.

However, Celeste was unaware of this. She nodded and sighed, "Your brother has quite an excellent character. Persistence is not something anyone has in them. Most people would give up once they come across an obstacle, and it results in them missing out on a lot of opportunities."

"He's probably going to remain loyal to the person he loves forever. I just can't imagine him marrying someone who is not his first love."

"Is he seeing someone?" Celeste asked in surprise.

"It's unrequited love." Ernest's eyes lit up as he stared at Celeste, watching her frown.

"The girl doesn't know about it?" Celeste was taken aback. "I don't see him treating any girls with affection or kindness. Could it be that she's someone outside of school? That's why he always looks like he's daydreaming. Perhaps he was thinking about that girl?"

"Yeah, that girl doesn't know my brother has feelings for her." Ernest also sighed, feeling helpless.

"Really?" Celeste shrugged. "That's a shame. Your brother has fallen in love with a girl way too early. Is he bored or something?"

Ernest opened his mouth, and there was a strange look in his eyes. He guessed this was what hopelessly helpless meant.

He had to hand it to Celeste.

Could she be any more clueless?

Everyone could see how obvious it was, but she just couldn't see it.

Nevertheless, he was also glad.

Because of this, she seemed cuter.

Because of this, Celeste gave him another chance.

However, he didn't like using these methods to win.

It was better that they had a fair competition.

Celeste murmured to herself, "Why does he want to be in a relationship at such a young age? He is only sixteen. Shouldn't it be time to study? Isn't it a waste to waste all that time in a relationship?" Ernest didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Staring at the hesitant face in front of him, he only felt helpless.

How much more innocent could she get? She didn't want to be in a relationship herself; is she also going to stop people from having a crush?

He wasn't sure when Celeste was going to understand how the world worked.

Whether it was him or his brother, they both had to have enough patience to wait for her to grow up.

"You don't want to be in a relationship?" Ernest asked the question he had in mind.

Celeste came back to her senses and shook her head. "No, why should I be in a relationship? I'm going to study abroad. I think dating is a waste of time."

"Sure." Ernest shook his head and chuckled. Then, he said with a bitter and helpless tone, "You're very promising." "You think so too?" Celeste said with a smile, "I also think that we should strive to be someone successful."

Ernest fell into silence.

After giving it some thought, he was still at a loss for words.

Finally, he looked at the night sky and said, "Let's go, I'll take you back."

"No, I'll take the bus. It's just a few blocks away."

"Alright, let's go together." Ernest insisted. "I'm also taking the bus."

"Don't you have a chauffeur?"

"My brother has gone home with the driver. It's fine. I'll go back by myself. Let's go. I'll send you off first."

"All right then."

An hour later.

In the Jones family home.

Ernest returned home.

"Ernest, you're back?" Sylvia greeted him sweetly when she saw him.

"Sylvia, why are you alone in the living room? Where's Mommy?"

"Mommy is upstairs with Dad. Sebastian is in Gary's room. He realized that Gary was looking gloomy, so he was afraid that he might have depression. Thus, he went to talk to him." Sylvia said indifferently. Ernest was taken aback and exasperated at the same time. "What about you? Why don't you go and talk to Gary?"

"I don't think Gary has depression. Gary is cold and indifferent. He's basically a blizzard, and he's so good at refuting people's words. It's impossible for him to get depressed. Even if everyone in the world got depressed, there's no way he would."

"You have a point." Ernest nodded. "You're a smart girl. But it's so boring here, even staying in your room reading a book would be better."

"I wanted to wait for you to come back." Sylvia was so sweet that she had everyone in the family wrapped around her little finger.

"Oh, really?" Ernest immediately walked to his sister's side, stretched out his arms, and said with a smile, "Come, let me hug you. It's been a while since I last did."

"Okay, hold me up." Sylvia stretched out her arms and ran over. Ernest picked her up and swung her around with ease.

She was suspended in mid-air in Ernest's arms as he brought her upstairs.

"Yay, this is fun. Ernest, I like you so much. You're the best." Sylvia was so happy that she chattered all the way.

They arrived at the third floor.

Gary and Ernest were currently staying on the third floor. Both of them had their own rooms facing the sun. At this moment, Gary was leaning against the door frame, looking indifferent. He folded his arms in front of his chest in a lazy and casual posture.

Ernest was a little dumbfounded when he saw this. He chuckled and asked, "Gary, you have been home for a long time?"

"Gary, where is Sebastian? Isn't he in your room?" Sylvia asked in a hurry.

Ernest lowered Sylvia to the ground.

Gary glanced at his younger brother and sister and said lightly, "Sebastian is downstairs. Sylvia, you should go downstairs as well."

"I just came up, and you're asking me to go back down?" Sylvia pouted and was very reluctant. "Is there such a brother like you, Gary?" "Do you want me to throw you down?" Gary asked.

Sylvia pouted her lips instantly and said, "I'll go to Ernest's room, not yours. I won't go into your room even if you invite me."

As she said that, she stuck her tongue out and ran into Ernest's room.

She was reluctant to leave as she wanted to eavesdrop on her older brothers' conversation.

However, Gary frowned and was about to walk into Ernest's room.

Ernest stopped him and said, "We'll talk in your room if you have something to say. She is still a child, so don't pick a fight with her."

"The whole family spoils her," Gary said. "She's going to suffer in the future."

"With Dad and three brothers? She would never." Ernest asked, "Besides, are you just going to stand by and watch?"

Upon hearing that, Gary fell silent.

He turned around and went into his room.

Ernest followed in.

After entering the room, Gary sat by his table.

Ernest went in, glanced around, and his gaze landed on Gary's monitor screen; he was booking a flight ticket.

Stunned, he asked with a frown, "You're booking a flight?"
