True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1236
"Yeah," Gary replied faintly with barely any emotions. "I'll be leaving soon."
"But, don't you want to know what Celeste said to me?" Ernest saw that Gary was serious about leaving this time.
"No." Gary's tone was very calm. "What does she have to do with me?"
"Gary, why are you so stubborn?"Ernest said, "The decision we made together is final. I'm not the person who changed it; it was Celeste. She wishes for the three of us to study together, but I have already decided to go to England. I won't renege."
Gary remained silent; there were no emotions on his face.
The awful silence was unsettling.
"She wants to go to England with me."
"That's her choice."
"Can you stop being so stubborn? Is it so necessary to hide your true words?"
"I have nothing to do with Celeste." Gary emphasized each word, "There is no need for you to tell me these things. I will not interfere with your decision either." "Well, in that case, we're going to England." Ernest replied in a deep voice, "Don't regret it."
Gary paused for a moment before replying in a deep voice, "I won't."
Ernest was dejected. "Gary, can't you act normal? I've always listened to everything you said since we were kids. I thought that since we were twins, our relationship would be extraordinary. Even though we have been separated for the first five years, we still ended up together. We've developed quite a good relationship after all these years, so I know you well."
"Ernest." Gary stared at him indifferently. His tone was a little low, but he wasn't upset. Then, he looked at Ernest and said, "It's precisely because you're my younger brother that I'm not going to make a huge fuss about it. All these years, the reason you've been second place is not that I was better than you, but because you purposely let me take first place. It's the same with you going to England. You're doing it for my sake."
Ernest's face turned pale, and a look of surprise flashed across his face.
"Don't think that I'm not aware." Gary continued indifferently, "There's no need for too many words between us. All I want to say is that there's no need for you to yield. Whatever it is, fight for it. Then none of us would feel guilty."
"Gary."
"I've said everything I wanted to say. Go and rest."
"Gary." Ernest was still a little anxious. "What's wrong with you? Can you stop acting arrogant?"
"I'm very clear-headed." Gary closed the webpage.
"Have you booked the flight ticket?" Ernest was still asking.
Gary stood up and took a box from the bookshelf. He said to Ernest, "Help me give this to Maria."
"Maria?" Ernest was dumbfounded. "Not Celeste?"
"Maria." Gary once again insisted in a deep voice.
Ernest frowned and said, "Why don't you give it to her yourself? Why do I need to help you do it?"
Gary did not say anything.
After taking the box, Ernest went back to his room with a confused look on his face.
Meanwhile, Sylvia sat cross-legged on his bed, pouting as she complained, "Ernest, do you think that Gary is not our brother? Why do I feel that he doesn't feel like a member of our family?" "Nonsense." Gary smiled and said, "Do you believe that he's not actually our brother?" "I do," Sylvia nodded enthusiastically. "He doesn't act as our brother. He is always so fierce with me." Ernest sat down beside her and comforted her. "Gary is in a bad mood today. Leave him alone." "Why?"
"I don't know."
"Ernest, you're hiding from me again. Don't think that I'm too young to understand. Let me tell you; I know everything."
"Yeah, our little Sylvia is the smartest." Ernest tousled the top of her head and said, "After Gary and I leave the country, you and Sebastian have to take good care of Mommy."
"Don't worry about Mommy. With Dad pampering her, she'd always be on cloud nine. She would be happy even without us taking care of her. Of course, Sebastian and I will still look after her as well." "Good girl." Ernest smiled.
Early the next morning.
When Ernest returned to school, the first thing he did was to hand the box to Maria.
"What is this?" Maria held the box and asked in surprise.
"This is from Gary. I don't know what it is. I didn't look. Have a look at it yourself." After saying that, Ernest was about to leave.
"From Gary?" Maria was very puzzled. "Why did he suddenly become so kind? I can't believe that this is from him."
Hearing this, Ernest was speechless and left quickly.
Then, Maria opened the box and screamed.
"Wow, an authentic autograph! Gary is really impressive. How did he get my idol's autograph and so many of it too?"
However, Ernest had already left, ignoring what Maria was saying.
Maria was over the moon.
She hurriedly packed up the autographs and walked to the campus.
"Maria." Celeste's voice echoed from behind.
Maria turned around and saw Celeste behind her. She showed off excitedly, "Gary gave me a bunch of my idol's autographs. I love it so much."
"Gary?" Celeste was taken aback. She hurriedly asked, "He's here?"
"I didn't see him. Ernest handed it to me. He said that it was from Gary. Is he absent?"
Sure enough, that was the case.
When Celeste returned to the classroom, she didn't see Gary.
She gave him a call again but found that his phone was still switched off. His seat was empty, the phone was off, and there was no way she could contact him. Hence, Celeste had to ask Ernest, "Is Gary absent?"
Ernest nodded and said, "He won't be attending class anymore before he leaves the country. However, he might still come back for some documentation." "Why would he stop coming to school?" Celeste was very puzzled.
"I don't know." Ernest replied, "Celeste, perhaps you can ask him yourself."
"I can't get through."
After thinking for a moment, he gave her the number of his landline and said, "You can call this. This is my landline."
"Give me the address," Celeste said, "I want your house address."
Ernest was dumbfounded. "You want to go to my house?"
Celeste nodded; her tone and attitude were determining. "Yes, I want to go to your house. I want to see Gary." Ernest was stupefied again. He stared at
Celeste, puzzled by her actions.
"Okay, I'll give you the address." Ernest wrote down the address and handed it to her.
Celeste said, "I've been thinking the entire night. I think I should talk to Gary again. Otherwise, I'm afraid I'll regret it." Ernest nodded and answered, "I also think you should give it a try. Otherwise, I'm afraid that you would truly regret it." Celeste nodded and said, "Ernest, if I still can't persuade your brother to follow us, then I'll really go to England with you."
"Celeste, don't force yourself. I don't need you to humor me." Ernest really hoped that Celeste would think it through clearly, instead of making an impulsive choice.
"I know." Celeste smiled and said, "I'm leaving now. Help me inform the teacher."
"All right."
She left with her school bag on her back.
