Celeste was a little surprised that Cindy had arrived so quickly.

"Who is it?" Liam asked.

"My aunt," Celeste turned around and whispered to Liam softly.

Liam nodded and dropped his guard.

Celeste took a deep breath and opened the door.

Cindy's sharp eyes were right in front of her.

Celeste pursed her lips subconsciously.

"Aunt," she still greeted her.

"Smack!"

Celeste was immediately greeted with a slap.

Instantly, a red palm print appeared on Celeste's face. She was dumbfounded.

Liam took a deep breath. He was shocked that Cindy would be so angry.

"Miss White," He quickly came over and closed the door first. Then, he stood in front of Celeste.

Celeste's face was burning with pain, and she didn't know how to react.

This was the first time that Cindy had slapped her. It was unexpected.

"Liam, get out of my way!" Cindy saw that Liam was shielding Celeste. When Celeste looked into Cindy's cold eyes, she felt a chill run down her spine.

"Ms. White, how could you do that?" Liam blamed himself. If he hadn't told Cindy, maybe Celeste wouldn't have been slapped. He tried to reason, "Celeste is still young. You shouldn't hit her."

Even if she was disobedient, Cindy shouldn't have slapped her, especially considering the fact that Celeste was a girl.

"I'm going to beat her up today," Cindy was impatient and shouted at Liam, "Get out! It's none of your business here. Leave, now."

"Miss White," Liam tried to persuade Cindy and said, "I'm the one who told you, so I'm partially responsible. Unless you promise to sit down and have a good talk with Celeste, I can't leave like this. What the hell is going on between you two?"

"Get out of my way," Cindy lost her patience and tried to shove Liam away.

Liam stood firmly in front of Celeste. He looked at Cindy and insisted stubbornly, "I'm sorry, Ms. White. I'm sorry, but I can't do as you say."

The next second, Celeste walked out from behind Liam. Her hand that was initially cupping her injured cheek was now placed down. She stood in front of Cindy.

The force of the slap had caused half of her face to swell up. That just went to show how powerful that slap was.

"Celeste!" Liam shouted, "Don't come out!"

Celeste ignored him and raised her chin slightly. She stood proudly in front of Cindy and looked at her.

Celeste did not avoid her gaze. She looked stubborn and arrogant.

Only her eyes were red-rimmed, and there were tears brimming in her eyes.

"Aunt Cindy, if you want to hit me, then you can continue," Celeste was absolutely serious, "Since I'm back, I'm not afraid of any consequences."

Cindy frowned, her expression grotesquely grim, "You...! Are you trying to anger me? Who allowed you to come back? Didn't I tell you to live in Heinz's house?" "Heinz, Heinz," Celeste sneered and smirked. "Who told you that it's Heinz's home? Why do you always bring him up?"

Cindy was stunned, "It's Heinz's home. Didn't you tell me that?"

"So what?" Celeste asked back.

"Anyhow, it's not right for you to have such an attitude. I've tolerated your mistakes several times, but you still dare to act like this. You've become too stubborn." Celeste took a deep breath and said, "You want me to live there. What is your purpose?"

"I...!" Cindy wanted to say something, but when she saw Liam there, her words became stuck in her throat. She turned to Liam and asked, "Liam, you go back first."

"I can't," Liam was not at ease about this situation.

"Hurry up and leave," Cindy chided.

"Miss White, I can't go," Liam was worried that once he left, Celeste would get slapped again. After all, Miss White looked very angry.

"I'm telling you to leave. This is between me and Celeste. It's inconvenient for you to stay," Cindy remarked coldly.

"You don't want your scandal to be heard by Liam, don't you?" Celeste suddenly said calmly. She looked at Cindy stubbornly and refused to admit defeat.

"What... What did you say?" Cindy's eyes widened in shock. She looked at Celeste, her eyes filled with disbelief.

Celeste didn't want to say it, but Cindy's slap had made her lose her composure.

The anger and grievance in her heart as well as her resistance to her family background made her so angry that she burst in fury.

"Don't you know what I'm talking about? The things between you and Heinz are on the Internet. They say that you sucked up to Heinz, saying that you were his close friend. They say that you've climbed up the ranks with his help. You're already the star actress, but you still want to be his wife. It's a pity that he doesn't look up to you."

Celeste plucked up her courage. Her every word sounded fiercer by the second.

Cindy couldn't believe her ears after being questioned.

She gawked at Celeste's face and saw the disdain in her eyes.

That was right.

It was a look of scorn.

Celeste was looking down on her.

This child was so bold that she dared to question and shout at Cindy in front of Liam.

Cindy was stunned. She staggered and took a step back before stammering, "Yo- you're questioning me?"

"Shouldn't I question you?" Celeste retorted sharply, "How did you get your status today? Did you really not know the hidden rules when you were being an ambassador for Heinz? If you weren't done in, why didn't you let go of Heinz?"

Cindy took a deep breath as she was dumbfounded by her words.

She had a headache.

Her mind was in a mess.

How long did Celeste know about all this?

"Who... who told you that?" She looked at Celeste and asked, flustered.

Liam realized that it was really inappropriate for him to be here.

He shouldn't be here, nor should he have stayed. However, it wasn't exactly right for him to leave then, nor was it right for him to leave now either.

"Who do I need to tell me this?" Celeste sneered, "You're still obsessed with Mr. Heinz. What do you want from him? What do you want to do? Do you think that you can change anything by asking so much?" "Shut up," Cindy couldn't stand such accusations, especially in front of an outsider like Liam. She felt that she had lost her pride.

"I won't," Celeste stubbornly continued, "Even if you beat me to death today, I need to tell you that we have different views." "You... you b*tch," Cindy cursed her angrily.

"I shouldn't have said that to you since you're an elder," Celeste softened her tone, "You've raised me well, but that doesn't mean you're right and I have to listen to you. You shouldn't think like that. You're still trying to barge into someone else's marriage," Tears came out of Celeste's eyes as she said this. She wiped her tears away, feeling a bit sad.

She hated herself.

She hated herself for crying at that moment.

There was nothing for her to cry about.

It was obviously her aunt's fault for overestimating herself.

Perhaps it was because of this that she felt guilty and embarrassed.

Tears streamed down her face and her vision blurred. Celeste couldn't help shouting, "Does he want to see you? Do you think that you can really get to know each other by buying a house next to his? Let me tell you now that you are dreaming."

This was the first time Cindy had seen Celeste so worked up, and it was also her first time seeing Celeste cry.

With tears flowing from her eyes and a large handprint on her cheek, she looked miserable and pitiful.

Liam couldn't bear it, but he was shocked by the amount of information in Celeste's words.

He had heard some rumors before that Miss White had an affair with Heinz, but there were many rumors in the entertainment industry. Some were right and some were wrong, and there was no way to verify it. At the very least, he thought that he knew Ms. White as she had helped him, so he was very grateful.

However, when he saw her attitude towards Celeste, he was once again confused.

"You don't have self-respect," Celeste snapped, "I feel ashamed of your behaviour. I really think that you overestimate yourself. How can you covet someone's husband? Not to mention that they're very happy being together. She has four children. Can't you stay away from her family? Why must you ask about him again and again, and ask where I live? You don't feel ashamed at all. I am really ashamed because I have a conscience."

"When I saw the tender look on Mrs. Grace's face, I knew that Mr. Heinz had chosen her as the right partner for the rest of his life. She was so gentle, and she was so well-educated and reasonable." "What about you? What do you have?"

"You are proud of your hard work in the entertainment circle, but when it comes down to it, you are just a normal person. You are old, yet you still want to be the next head of the Jones family. You are being too confident."

"Celeste," Liam called out her name and stopped her.

Cindy was stunned and regained her composure after hearing Liam's voice.

She took a breath and said, "Liam, you don't have to worry about her. Let her continue."

Liam was stunned. He was a little anxious.

He could not continue to be in such an awkward position.

Celeste pursed her lips and continued to cry. She raised her head and swallowed back all her tears.

"Don't think that I don't know those things about you. Even if I don't say it, it doesn't mean that I'm ok with it," Celeste cried.

"So what if you're satisfied? So what if you're not?" Cindy asked coldly, "What right do you have to judge me here?"

"Yes, I'm not qualified," Celeste retorted loudly, "You raised me, but why?"

Cindy froze and her face went pale. She suddenly turned away from Celeste.

She didn't even dare to look at her.

Celeste saw it.

She took a deep breath and sneered. Looking at Cindy, she said with a self-deprecating smile, "You don't dare to face me because I am your so-called illegitimate daughter. Am I right or not?"
