Liam went out early in the morning. Before he left, he reminded Maria repeatedly not to open the door, and to call him if she needed anything.

Knowing full well the situation they were in, she promised him that she would not go out. She would just sleep at home.

Then, Liam went to meet with Zachary. Gary and Heinz were also there.

Zachary and Heinz went to the president's office, while Liam and Gary stayed in the waiting lounge.

"You were the one who uploaded those videos, weren't you?" Liam asked Gary.

Gary replied, "There's no need to ask who did it. It doesn't matter, does it?"

After hearing those words, Liam was almost certain that it had been Gary's doing.

He looked at Gary and said with a smile, "Last night, Cindy called me and gave me a good scolding. She kept saying that I was the one who released those videos to hurt her." After a moment's surprise, Gary sniggered. "What did you say?" he asked.

"She said that she doesn't believe anything I say. I told her that's her choice," Liam answered. Then, he forced a smile. "She's certain that I'm scheming against her, but I don't plan to explain myself to her. It doesn't really matter anymore."

"Indeed, you won't be able to prove that you're innocent," Gary smiled and said. "Liam, Cindy is definitely involved in the plan to oppress you. As for how big of a role she plays in it, you'll replace out slowly." "Do you have any proof?" Liam asked, his gaze hesitant. "Or have you managed to obtain some clues that'll help to prove that she's involved?"

"My guess is that she's the second main female lead," Gary replied. "That's quite a major part, isn't it?"

Liam was a little surprised. "It did cross my mind that she might be involved, but I never thought that she'd actually do such a thing. She didn't even have to do something like this. All I did was go against her wishes when it came to Celeste's affairs, but I didn't do anything else that put her in a difficult position."

"There are some people who are just that petty. Although you meant no harm, some people could take offense to your actions." After saying that,

Gary took out his phone and sent Liam a video. "Take a look at this video."

Liam took out his phone and opened up his WhatsApp. When he saw the video, he was greatly shocked.

"Are Cindy and Monica teaming up to scheme against me?" From the video, Liam could hear Cindy telling Monica, "This kid is getting overly arrogant. He's a little too full of himself. Let's drag him down and put him in his place."

Monica had smiled and said, "We could do that, or we could make him fall so low so that he'll never be able to get back up again."

"Well, he brought it upon himself," Cindy sneered. "The boss has always been displeased with him. If we team up to scheme against him this time, no one will be able to protect him."

"That's right." Monica nodded and smiled. The two of them took out their cigarettes and started smoking in the private room.

The video was not long, but their conversation was crystal clear.

"Where did you get this video?" Liam stared at Gary, surprised by Gary's ability to be able to get such a video.

"When Celeste came to our house, I was worried that Cindy was up to no good. Hence, I arranged for someone to dig up some dirt on Cindy, but I never got a chance to use it," Gary replied. "After going through the materials, I found these that were related to you. I'm sorry for only telling you about this now."

Liam was stunned. He did not expect that Gary already had someone dig up the dirt on Cindy.

He shook his head. "I was still studying back then. Even if you told me, there was nothing I could do."

Gary nodded. "To tell you the truth, we were all aware of Maria's feelings for you. We knew that she would help you terminate your contract sooner or later. We also considered the fact that the debt of gratitude you owed Maria might bring the two of you closer together."

Once again, Liam was stunned. Then, he shook his head and laughed. "I can't believe you even thought of that."

"Of course. We considered many things. After all, Maria is my cousin, so it's only natural that I want her to be happy," Gary answered honestly. "Now that the two of you are in a relationship, we couldn't be happier."

Gary was referring to Celeste and himself.

Liam nodded. "I was surprised too, but I think that she's the one for me. We seem made for each other."

"That's great," Gary replied happily.

Liam suddenly thought of something and asked, "By the way, where's Ernest? I haven't seen him. Has he gone to England already?"

At the mention of Ernest, Gary gave an unfathomable smile. "No, he didn't. However, he's busy with his own matters, so we've refrained from disturbing him."

Confused, Liam wondered out loud, "Could he be dating?"

"Liam, you truly are a clever one," Gary said.

Liam chuckled. "You're the one grinning like a shot fox. That's why I guessed that he's dating."

"He's busy taking care of a girl. We haven't even seen her yet. I heard that he's taking care of her because she caught a cold. In fact, he's been so busy that he hasn't come back home for two days," Gary explained.

"Well, that's always how love goes," Liam said teasingly.

"That's right. Now that all of you are in relationships, it is indeed a joyous thing." Gary sighed contentedly.

It was both joyous and reassuring. He did not have to worry about Celeste being snatched from him any longer.

Liam also sighed deeply.

The two of them continued chatting for a while.

Soon, Zachary's assistant came up to Liam and said, "Mr. Robinson, the lawyer has officially informed your company that you wish to terminate your contract with them and that they'll be representing you in this matter."

Liam nodded. "Great."

The assistant flipped open a document and handed it to Liam. "Mr. Robinson, please sign this power of attorney. Once you sign this, there'll be no need for you to be present for the negotiations in the future." Liam signed it without even looking at it.

Gary reminded him, "Why don't you take a look at it first? Aren't you afraid of getting scammed? How can you sign the document just like that?"

Liam did not seem to care at all. "I believe in Uncle Jones, and I trust Maria even more."

At that, Gary shrugged. "Liam, you've really fallen head over heels in love. In fact, you've fallen so deeply in love that you've lost your mind." Liam continued to sign the document without replying.

After that, the assistant took the document and

left.

He quickly reported what had happened to Zachary. "President Lowe, Mr. Robinson didn't even look at the document. He signed it immediately." Zachary was somewhat startled.

The assistant repeated what Gary said to Zachary and Heinz. The two of them looked at each other.

Heinz smiled and said, "He's quite something. He knows to trust you and Maria. The only thing I'm afraid of is that he trusts you too much and that it'll become too much of a responsibility for you." Zachary looked at Heinz and smiled. "He won't lose anything if he trusts me. After all, I'm not going to do any harm to him, am I?"

"Even if you wanted to do something to him, you'd still need to get through Maria first. She's sure to hold a grudge if you do something to upset her. Hence, you won't do anything bad to him for Maria's sake if not for Liam's." Here, Heinz paused and sighed. "Zachary, you're such a gentleman. I truly respect you. I don't know if I could be as open-minded as you when my daughter has a boyfriend."

"You wouldn't," Zachary answered bluntly. "You'd be doing your future son-in-law a favor by not killing him."

Hearing that, Heinz rubbed his hands and sighed. "That's true. When I heard that she was smitten with someone, I wanted nothing more than for him to die. Do you think there's something wrong with me?" "It's definitely a sickness. You should see a doctor," Zachary said in a deep voice.

Heinz was speechless. "There's no need to curse me like that, is there? I admit that I'm a little harsh when it comes to handling matters concerning Sylvia, but other than that, I'm perfectly normal. Besides, I don't believe that you don't have the urge to finish Liam off. You're just enduring it."

"I do," Zachary admitted frankly. "I really want to hurt him, but I can only hold myself back."

Heinz smiled. "Come on, don't be too emotional. After all, it's for your daughter. Remember to remind me that when the time comes. Otherwise, I'm afraid that I'll really go too far and kill that man."

Zachary nodded seriously. "Okay, I'll remind you then. I hope that you'll have regained your senses in a few years and refrain from bullying your son-in-law."

They both looked at each other and laughed.

The assistant came in again and told Zachary, "Mr. Lowe, we did what you told us to. Our lawyers have informed Liam's management company. His management company seemed unprepared, so it's obvious that Johnny didn't inform his boss. They want to meet us, and Sinclair will be coming to pay you a visit personally."

Zachary turned to look at his assistant. "Sinclair will be coming? He wants to meet me? Does he want to negotiate a peace treaty?"

"They're in a very difficult position because of Cindy's scandals. If Liam insists on terminating the contract, then Theclair Group will really replace themselves in great difficulty," his assistant replied. Zachary nodded slightly. "Okay, tell him that we'll meet him tomorrow morning."

"About that, he wants to see you today."

"Tell him that I'm not free today. If he wants to meet me, then he has to wait until tomorrow morning," Zachary replied.

The assistant nodded, guessing that Zachary was deliberately making Sinclair wait. He wanted them to know that Liam was determined to have his contract terminated.

"All right, I'll go and inform them now."

Over at Theclair Media.

Sinclair received a phone call. As soon as he heard that Zachary had refused to meet him that day, he understood what it meant.

He sighed and composed himself. "It seems that Liam is really determined to terminate the contract this time."

Johnny was shocked too. He looked at Sinclair and asked, "Boss, I don't understand. Why did we want to oppress Liam back then? The best time to promote him was when he came back from England. It would have definitely made the headlines. Why did our company miss such a great opportunity?"

"I made a wrong decision," Sinclair said in a deep voice. "Now that I think about it, it was a mistake."

"If you were to talk to Liam, he might change his mind," Johnny suggested.

Sinclair nodded. "Go and make the call. Ask Liam to come over, as well as Cindy and Monica."

Johnny was shocked.

Sinclair continued, "Don't you understand yet? We can't afford to offend Liam now. We have no use for Cindy anymore. Tell Cindy to apologize to Liam."

Realization dawned on Johnny. He nodded and said happily, "Boss, that's a nice move."
