True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1642
Monica nodded. "Okay, don't come back. We'll go to Switzerland to see you."
"You and Sinclair?" Cindy asked with a smile.
Monica nodded again. "Yes, I'll go with him. Is there any need to explain what's going on with the three of us?"
Cindy smiled without saying anything.
"If I'd known you would react like this, I would've just come clean. That would have saved you a lot of heartaches. See? Didn't we have a great time last night?" Monica said as she took another puff of her cigarette.
Cindy narrowed her eyes. "Be honest. You still love Sinclair, don't you? You married Michael, but you still love Sinclair."
Monica was stunned and cast her gaze downwards. "There's no such thing as love in our industry. Do you really believe in it?"
"I don't. If I did, why would I have engaged in so many sexual favors? I don't believe in love, but I believe that you love Sinclair. You've sacrificed a lot for him." Cindy turned to look at Monica and added, "Frankly, you supported me only because of Sinclair. You've done everything for him, but he neglected you."
Monica's eyes gleamed as she said, "I let Michael down too. That's just the way life is. There's no need to take it so seriously."
"Michael will probably have a hard time in the future. He's a man who prizes his dignity above everything else, but I ruined him." Regret flashed in Cindy's eyes as she mentioned Michael.
Monica frowned and thought carefully about what Cindy said. Did Cindy mean that Michael would suffer as long as Monica was with him? Monica thought to herself.
However, there were shocking new headlines every day in their line of work. People would forget soon enough.
"He turned off his phone. I haven't been able to contact him since the news got out."
Cindy lowered her gaze and said, "Monica, Sinclair's wife is not easy to deal with."
"You mean Suanne?" Monica chuckled. "Do you really think that she doesn't know what kind of person Sinclair is? Let me tell you, she knows about what happened between me and Sinclair. She also knows that he has many other women, but she won't make a fuss. She knows it's pointless." "I can't believe Suanne knows about you two," Cindy replied with a sigh.
"She knows, but she turns a blind eye to it. There's no need to take life so seriously."
Cindy looked out the window. "I don't know what news will be released tomorrow, nor what else I should expect. Somehow, I feel a sense of accomplishment that those men are famous now because of me." Monica frowned, then laughed. "Cindy, are you confused? We're talking about scandals, not a movie premiere."
"It's much better than a premiere." A bloodthirsty smile formed on Cindy's lips. "It's exciting, isn't it?"
Monica frowned and put out her cigarette. "I don't want to talk to you anymore. I'm going to take a bath as I have to leave later."
Cindy remained silent. While both Sinclair and Monica were in the bathroom, Cindy quietly removed the pinhole camera she had set up and went into her own bathroom.
Sinclair and Monica left soon after. Sinclair was dressed smartly in a suit, and he looked every bit the formidable business magnate he was.
Monica had also changed, and she radiated a powerful aura. There was no sign of any romantic feelings between them.
They left in separate cars, expressionless.
Then, Cindy picked up the phone and dialed a number. "Michael, they're gone. I don't think they'll be back today."
"Come over here, then." A man's voice came from over the phone.
Cindy smiled and coyly, "I'm taking a bath."
"Then, shall I go to your place and bathe with you?"
"Forget it, Michael. It's better that I go to you. If Monica returns, there's nowhere in this whole apartment building where I can hide."
"I'll carry you here then," the voice said with a smile.
Just as Cindy was about to reply, she heard a creak from the wall next to her. The wall was part of the closet next door. Then, the wall slowly began to shift.
A man in a bathrobe walked out from behind the wall.
Concealed behind the wall was a sliding door. It was so cleverly hidden that no one would be able to tell that it was a door.
The man was tall, and he wore a pair of gold-rimmed pair spectacles. He looked especially
refined.
He was Monica's husband, Michael, and he was an interior designer.
He was the one that had designed the hidden door so that he would be able to meet with Cindy frequently and maintain their relationship.
Michael walked into the bathroom. Looking at Cindy, he smiled and said, "Your wish finally came true. That b*tch actually invited you to a threesome with Sinclair."
"Are you jealous?" She looked up at Michael towering over her. Then, she smirked, "Honestly, you don't have to be. Monica will come looking for us soon enough, so how about the both of us pleasure you then?"
He sneered. "You'd better do that now. I watched you three all night. Don't you realize how hard it has been for me?"
"Your self-control is exceptional. Anyone else would have reacted."
"Shut up. Let's take the 11 p.m. flight to France. Once we're there, we'll take a connecting flight to London. We'll be together from now on," he said.
"So soon?" She was rather surprised.
Michael nodded. "We should leave while they're busy dealing with this. I'm afraid we might not be able to leave if we wait too long."
"Sure, as you wish. Carry me," she murmured, raising her arms.
Michael leaned down and lifted her into his arms. Then, he swaddled her in a towel and carried her to his room. The hidden door slid shut behind them.
Once in his room, he tied her to the bed. She was spread out on the bed before him.
He stood there and observed her carefully. "You're beautiful, so much more so than Monica. Regardless of looks or physique, she is nothing compared to you."
She smiled and replied, "I was born beautiful. That's why I chose to be an actress. I was put on this Earth to become an actress."
"Mhmm, that's great." Michael laughed before he advanced on Cindy.
No one knew that their apartments were linked.
"We should leave first and have the lawyers handle the sale of these two apartments. When the money from the sale reaches us, it'll be enough for us to live out the rest of our lives comfortably. Cindy, we'll be together from now on, so don't run around, okay?"
Cindy grinned. "Sure, I'm yours as long as you're mine. However, if you still belong to someone else, then you can't blame me for doing the same.
Isn't that fair?" "Fair?" Michael chuckled. "Are you threatening me?"
"You can't blame me for that. I'm in my forties, and I'm all alone. What do I have other than myself? Therefore, it's only natural that I want equal treatment."
"Fine. You're right. However, if I can keep it in my pants and you can't, then you can't fault me either," Michael said.
Cindy nodded. "Don't worry. If you can do it, so can I."
They did not get up to pack until late in the afternoon.
More news leaked, and Cindy was once again trending all over the internet.
However, she had turned off her phone and changed her number. It had nothing to do with her anymore.
Celeste was astonished when she saw the news. She never expected Cindy to have so many lovers, including her manager's husband.
Celeste saw a reporter interview Monica. Meanwhile, Monica kept her answers short. "We'll have a press conference to answer any questions about Cindy. I'm sorry, but we can't give any answers when everything is still up in the air."
Nevertheless, the reporters kept asking Monica for her opinion on her husband cheating on her with a celebrity she managed. Did this all stem from an agreement? Did all parties benefit?
Monica was very embarrassed by the questions. She did not know whether she should answer or not.
She could only keep her head down as she was led away by her bodyguards.
Meanwhile, over at Lowe Group.
Sinclair did not heed Zachary's request to come to his office in the morning. Instead, he went in the afternoon. However, he was stopped by the receptionist. "Mr. Stone, Mr. Lowe is busy right now."
