True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1698
"You are already used to being shameless, I assume," Heinz mocked, "Anyway, people like you who don't have a bottomline don't deserve to talk about dignity and shame."
No matter what Heinz said, Cindy was not angry at all.
She was just staring at Heinz with her exquisite eyes that were filled with hope. She was clearly drooling over Heinz.
"There is nothing else for me to hold on to now. I can only be the shameless person I am now. You've seen the footage, haven't you? You now know how much I lust for you. Heinz, did you not fall for me, not even once, over all these years?" She asked.
"Not even a second," Heinz said, crushing all of Cindy's hopes ruthlessly.
Cindy's expression froze. She was staring at Heinz as she understood Heinz was not there to see her then.
She was not that innocent.
She was aware of how much Heinz hated her long ago.
Heinz must have gone there for something else.
Why was he in London?
He was always occupied, and even when he wasn't, he would always spend his time with Grace. That b*tch.
Yet, he was there in London then.
Cindy had a bad feeling about it.
She concealed all her emotions as she smiled at Heinz and said, "I can tell it too. You will never think of me. You're just so cruel. Back then, we were at least close friends."
"Don't flatter yourself," Heinz said, "You and I were never friends."
Cindy shrugged. "Really? If so, then why are you here? Did you not come here because you miss me? Otherwise, why would you come all the way to London?"
"I am here to tell you that I replace you extremely disgusting." Heinz raised his brows indifferently.
"You actually made a trip all the way here to just tell me this, Mr. Jones, it does seem that you do care about me. You can't bear to not see me, can you?" Cindy continued to tease Heinz in a shameless manner. "You knew that I was out of the country and you came all the way to London. I am really moved."
Knowing that she was saying those words on purpose, Heinz was not mad at all. Instead, Alex was disgusted and said directly, "Cindy, are you not embarrassed of yourself?"
"I told you I have nothing to lose, so I'm indeed not. Why bother asking?" Cindy said as she fixed her gaze on Heinz. Her gaze had never left his face.
It was a face that was way too gorgeous, and it had been in her dreams for many years.
She was always thinking of him. She had never given up on him.
Unfortunately, she could never get him.
As he was standing in front of her then, her desire was again aroused.
Heinz wasn't angry either. He looked at Cindy and said, "Cindy, now that the Jones family owns Celeste's custody, you should leave Celeste alone. I'm here to tell you this."
"I didn't want to keep in touch with her either. That b*tch is a heartless person herself. My advice for you is to replace your son someone decent who matches the status of your family instead of that wrench. She's heartless and she won't be any good to your son in the future," Cindy said.
Hearing that she was smearing Celeste's name,
Heinz gave her a disdainful smirk. "Aren't you worried that Yannie will haunt you in your dreams?"
Upon hearing that, Cindy froze. Her gaze for Heinz turned sharp.
"So, you found out about this too. I assume you are already aware of Celeste's background. Heinz, are you here in London to deal with me this time?" Cindy asked.
"Are you feeling guilty for the many bad things that you did?" Heinz raised her brows. "Did Yannie give you nightmares? I'm sure you always have nightmares."
Cindy's body trembled a little unconsciously. She was a little terrified that Heinz was right about her experience.
However, why on earth was he there?
Was he giving her a warning?
Cindy couldn't figure that out. She only knew that he wasn't there to reminisce.
Heinz had never shown her any affection over the years. He didn't when they were younger, and he most probably wouldn't then either.
Thinking of that, she could not help but feel a little bitter and lonely.
She was very upset, but she felt even more frustrated and aggravated about it.
Regardless, she had already told him everything that she wanted to say, and everything was said in a harsh way.
There was nothing she could be ashamed of anymore.
Her image in Heinz's heart must have been ruined for a long time. She couldn't be bothered about that anymore.
"Yes, I did dream of her. After all, she was my childhood friend. We were close. Otherwise, I wouldn't have raised her kid for her." Cindy smiled. She adjusted her emotions and was looking calmer. "You have no idea how much energy and money I've spent on raising Celeste. It's not something that you could easily imagine. She would never be who she is today without me."
"Well, she would have been raised by Yannie if it wasn't for you. You can never rival with her biological mother no matter how good you treated her," Heinz refuted. He was extremely annoyed at her shamelessness.
However, Cindy shook her head and said, "Look, Heinz, you probably don't understand. Yannie's personality was messed up. She had depression and she wasn't deemed fit to raise a kid. If it wasn't for me, Yannie would still die tragically for having met someone like Sinclair."
Heinz narrowed his eyes and his gaze was sharp, "You're reaching."
"I'm not, I'm just telling the truth. Yannie would die in a sad way somehow. Sinclair would never stay loyal to her, nor would he marry her. She would have to endure the criticism of getting pregnant out of wedlock. Her parents and her family would disown her. She would lose her job. She would be left with no one and nothing except for her child. Isn't it fair to say that she would face a tragic death?" Cindy argued.
"You are still responsible for her death," Heinz said coldly.
"Well, I don't deny that. I did accelerate Yannie's death, but I was just freeing her from her suffering. Death was the best way to end her depression," Cindy said.
"Enough," Heinz shouted coldly, "Cindy, aren't you afraid of karma?"
"Karma has come, hasn't it?" Cindy laughed self-mockingly. "Look at me now. I have nothing and my reputation is ruined, thanks to you. Or should I say, thanks to Celeste? I shouldn't have raised that b*tch. She's the heartless one who made my life this terrible."
Cindy shoved all her responsibilities to Celeste.
She felt that everything had happened because she adopted Celeste.
She believed that she wouldn't have ended up like that if she didn't adopt Celeste in the first place. Although she did take the responsibility for Yannie's death, she still believed that Yannie led the unfortunate life herself for falling for Sinclair in the first place.
Yannie had to know how she felt towards Sinclair, yet Yannie wouldn't shut up about Sinclair in front of her.
"What goes around comes around," Heinz glanced at her. "You shouldn't think that you'll always be that lucky."
As they were talking, a figure suddenly approached them hurriedly.
Taking a closer look, it was a woman with long hair who was running towards Cindy.
"This is bad. Sinclair was taken away. I don't know who they were, but there were three men who took Sinclair away," the woman said.
"Elsa, speak clearly." Cindy noticed that it was Elsa.
"I don't know. This... this man came first, and then three men came after and brought Sinclair away." Elsa pointed at Heinz. There was something seductive in her gaze as she looked at Heinz. From the looks of it, even Elsa could not escape from Heinz's charm.
Cindy turned her gaze to Heinz. "Heinz, did you send someone to take Sinclair away?"
"That's right," Heinz replied flatly. "That's why I'm warning you to know your place and stop disrupting Celeste's life. Otherwise, you will be bringing the bad news upon yourself."
"Fine then, I'll stop disturbing Celeste. However, when do you plan to let Sinclair go then?" Cindy asked.
"You can wait for that." Heinz smiled. He looked at Alex and said, "Let's go, Alex. We should get back now." "Yes, President." Alex opened the car door for Heinz as he got onto the car.
However, Cindy blocked their way.
