She stood in front of the car and shouted, "Did you really take Sinclair away? What is happening? Why did you take Sinclair away?" "Don't you think he should be taught a lesson?" Alex asked.

There was a glint in Cindy's gaze, yet she was still doubtful. "I somehow feel like it's more than just teaching him a lesson."

"Why don't you come with us then?" Alex sneered. "You can come and see for yourself."

Cindy immediately pursed her lips. She then stayed out of their way and said with a smile, "It's fine. I'm sure Mr. Jones is only here to give me a warning instead of taking me away. After all, we do share a history together and he wouldn't bear it to see me suffer. If he came all the way here just to give me a warning, then I should just stay out of your way. Have a safe trip, my dear Heinz."

It was disgusting.

Alex was about to vomit out of disgust because of Cindy.

He got in the car and drove off.

Cindy watched as their car disappeared from her sight. She narrowed her eyes and looked at Elsa. "What happened?"

Elsa was also looking at Heinz's car. Instead of answering, she simply said, "That man just now is so gorgeous. He's really my cup of tea, and he's much better than Sinclair."

Cindy snorted and said, "Of course, we happen to share the same taste. He's the one I've been eyeing since forever. As for Sinclair, he's my first man. I started everything with Sinclair, good or bad, we had everything together. He was the one who started it for me, and made me experience both heaven and hell. To me, both of them are key figures in my life for everything that I've been through."

Elsa shrugged and came back to her senses. She looked at Cindy and said with a smile, "Your words make me puzzled. I don't quite understand."

"You don't have to understand," Cindy said. "I'm going to Sinclair's place. Is he really gone?"

Cindy followed Elsa into Sinclair's house.

There was no one left, and Sinclair's identity documentation was gone too.

She was surprised. "Where's his passport?"

Elsa shook her head and said, "I don't know. Perhaps they were taken away with him. I saw them leaving with a suitcase. Anyway, I wanted to ask if you want to get into the film industry with me and continue living your life as a queen."

"A queen?" Cindy was startled.

"Yes, with all men circling you, you will be the center of attention," Elsa persuaded, "If you're interested, we can start now. You don't have to prepare anything. I'll make sure you get a great experience." Cindy looked around in the empty living hall. No one else was there.

Suddenly, she felt empty in her heart with everyone gone.

It was also mixed with a bad feeling.

She hesitated a little and said, "Sure. Get someone over to my place, and we'll do it my way."

"Are you saying you're agreeing to this?" Elsa was startled.

Cindy nodded. "Yes, I agree."

"Why did you suddenly agree?" Elsa was confused once again. "From my understanding, I know you guys don't enjoy being filmed."

"I had spent most of my life doing the most glorious career under the spotlight. Although I also had a lot of scandals, I was still a sensation. I want to film something that can be passed down to many generations. If I can't rewind time and get things back to how they used to be, I can still make history with this," Cindy said.

Elsa took out her phone. "Should I ask them to just go to your place?"

Cindy nodded and said, "Sure. Let's go back to my place now, and ask them to hurry. Otherwise it might be too late."

"Why will it be too late?" Elsa was puzzled.

Cindy did not explain.

She was already walking away. Elsa immediately followed behind while also making her call to get the crews.

After Cindy returned to her place, she saw Michael eating. Upon noticing that she brought Elsa along, Michael was surprised and asked, "What happened? Why are you two together?"

Cindy looked at Michael and said, "I saw Heinz just now. His people took Sinclair away. I have a bad feeling about this. Michael, you have to leave."

Michael felt puzzled and he was stunned. "Did Heinz come and take Sinclair away? Why was that? Anyway, I did nothing to offend Heinz. I don't think I have to hide from him."

"I'll give you 20 million dollars. You should go back." Cindy stared at him. With a serious tone, she said, "It's more than enough if you don't spend

all of it at once."

Michael was confused. "Why are you giving me money?"

Cindy smiled and said, "You've been keeping me company and making me happy for these years. I think you can take this money as my token of gratitude, for all the years you spent with me without leaving me behind. Michael, thank you for everything and I wish you well for the rest of your life. You shouldn't get yourself involved in my messed up life. Let's end this."

Michael was still surprised at the fact that Cindy was willing to give him 20 million dollars.

He was even a little moved.

It had been ten years. Whether they were just fulfilling their lusts, or if they were actually in love, they still spent ten whole years together.

Upon hearing her words, Michael frowned. "I won't leave. I don't need your money either. I have no beef with Heinz, neither have I done anything to them. He won't do anything to me. I want to stay here to take care of you. If they're really going after you, at least I can still be of help."

Cindy heard what he said.

She smiled. Her smile was mixed with complicated emotions. She looked at Michael and then gave him a tight embrace.

"Thank you for saying that, but I still want you to live a better life. Please let me do something kind for the last time. Michael, I want you to live happily." Cindy hugged him tightly and whispered in his ear, "Take my money and go back. You should change your name and replace a place where no one knows you, then tie the knot with someone decent."

"Cindy, what's wrong?" Michael lowered his head and looked at her. "Why does it feel like you are saying your farewell? Are you taking your own life?"

Cindy laughed. "Why would I do that? I'm not someone who would end my own life. I just don't think that I can always be this lucky. Michael, you should leave, I'm serious."

Michael still wanted to say something.

Cindy had already led him up the stairs and said, "I'll pack your luggage for you."

After arriving upstairs, Cindy started packing Michael's luggage. She even packed some of her valued belongings for him. "Take these with you. They will come in handy. I don't think I'll get to use them anymore."

"Cindy, don't be like this. With the time that we had spent, you are like a sister to me. I have never treated you like an outsider. I can protect you as long as you need me," Michael said.

"There's no need for that. Someone will be coming over to help me film some adult content later. I don't want you to see me doing that." Cindy looked at Michael as she packed his luggage.

In the end, she handed two huge suitcases, including hers, to Michael.

Michael lowered his head to look at Cindy. That time, he was certain that Cindy was serious.

She really wanted him to leave.

He was taken aback, and he was upset too. He wasn't ready to leave her.

He just suddenly didn't want to leave.

He was aware that the relationship they shared was unhealthy and sick.

Yet he didn't want to end it then.

"Cindy." Michael grabbed on to Cindy's shoulders with great strength. "Listen to me, Cindy. Let's leave this place together. You don't have to film that. You don't have to dwell on the Jones family's matters anymore. Let's not think of Sinclair and Celeste anymore. Let's start a life all over again with just the two of us, all right?"

Cindy shook her head. Her gaze was a little sorrowful. She noticed that there was a hopeful glint deep under Michael's gaze.

"Michael, no. You should leave now," Cindy urged.

She pushed Michael away forcefully.

Cindy transferred the money to Michael's account, and called someone to check in his luggage for him.

Just like that, he was already in the car, on the way to the airport.

More than a dozen young men of different skin tones had arrived at Cindy's house. There were several cameras set up too.

All the curtains were rolled down, and they locked the doors as well.

Meanwhile, Gary received an update. "Mr. Smith, the Interpol has taken Sinclair away and Michael is already on his way to the airport. He's returning. Your father has met with Sinclair and Cindy before this. We don't know what they talked about exactly."
