True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1751
Maria was excited when she saw Celeste calling her.
She greeted Celeste as soon as she answered the call, "Hi Celeste. Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas." Celeste greeted her with a smile on the other end. It seemed like she was in a good mood. Their trip to Boston must have been successful.
"Look at you. You seem to be happy. It looks like you are having a good time there," Maria smiled, "Does Gary know how to cherish you and take care of you now?"
"He has always known how to." Celeste was a little embarrassed. She was even blushing through the phone.
Maria smiled. "Oh, you're so protective of Gary. When has he ever needed your protection? Are you trying to protect him by saying good things about him?"
"I'm not protecting him, I'm just telling you the truth," Celeste became serious. "Gary is doing very well recently. He is also quite busy."
"What about you? Have you gotten used to life in Boston?" Maria looked at her concernedly.
Celeste nodded. She was wearing a white top, which made her looked even more beautiful.
"Not too bad. I enrolled after I got here, and it's Christmas break now. We're resting today. He went out to settle some stuff, and I got up late," Celeste smiled. "Uncle Lowell is here too. He's taking good care of us."
"Lowell?" Maria immediately laughed, "Celeste, you're being too honest. You're the only one who calls him Uncle Lowell. All of us call him by his name."
"That doesn't sound right," Celeste felt very embarrassed. "Lowell is Aunt Smith's and Uncle Jones' younger brother. Even though our age gap isn't that big, he's still an elder."
"Okay, call him that if you want," Maria didn't want to argue with her over it. "By the way, a very important friend came over. Do you want to guess who it is?"
Celeste was surprised as she looked at Maria's excitement. She kept looking back as she spoke. It was as if she was looking at something.
On the other side, Leah stuck out her tongue and made faces at Maria.
Maria turned her phone over to Leah's direction.
Coincidentally, Celeste saw Leah making funny faces.
She was pulling her eyes and sticking out her tongue. She looked cute and a little scary.
"Ah!" Celeste was startled. She let out a shriek.
Leah immediately put her hands down and looked serious. She looked at the video and quickly apologized, "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Celeste heaved a sigh of relief when she heard the unfamiliar voice. She looked at her carefully and greeted her sheepishly. "Hi, nice to meet you." "Hello, Celeste." Leah greeted her politely.
Celeste was surprised to see such a beautiful girl.
Maria turned the camera away and faced it back at herself. She told Celeste, "Did you see that? She's a real beauty."
"I saw." Celeste could tell, but because they hadn't been formally introduced, she dared not be too straightforward. "She is really beautiful."
"Guess who she is," Maria said. She stared at Celeste and continued to ask, "Guess?"
Celeste thought for a while and said, "It's impolite to guess like this. It's embarrassing to guess in front of her." "It doesn't matter. She won't get angry so easily,"
Maria answered.
"If I'm not mistaken, she must be in a relationship with Ernest, right?"
"Amazing." Maria gave Celeste a thumbs-up. "You're really amazing, Celeste. You even guessed who she is."
"Is it really Leah?" Celeste guessed.
"Yes. She's Leah."
Maria came and sat next to Leah. The two of them looked at Celeste.
"Hello Leah, I'm Celeste. Nice to meet you," Celeste greeted politely.
Leah also greeted her happily. The two girls had finally met each other.
The three of them chatted for a while. Soon, someone arrived at Celeste's place.
"I think Gary is back." Celeste looked at them and said, "I'm sorry, Gary has returned. I need to help him. Let's talk another day. Again, Merry Christmas."
"Since Gary is here, why do you still have to help him?" Maria complained at once.
Celeste quickly explained, "He brought a lot of things. I'm going to help him bring them in. That's all. Bye."
With that, the screen went black.
Celeste hung up the phone.
Leah and Maria looked at each other and smiled.
"What do you think?" Maria asked Leah.
Leah smiled. She didn't say anything.
"Why aren't you saying anything? Or is it that you don't dare say anything?" She asked.
"She looks like a little obedient wife. Celeste is so obedient. We should learn from her."
"She's too honest," Maria sighed. "She's too gentle and considerate. She's not Gary's match at all, but they're perfect for each other."
"When it comes to a relationship, it doesn't matter if they are suitable or not. It isn't up to others to see how they get along with each other. Perhaps we think we are suitable, but others might not think the same way. It is the same with marriages. Although the couple obviously isn't a match for each other, or at least, other people think that they're not a match for each other, but they're actually suitable for each other." Leah held her script and continued to read.
Maria looked at her. She sat down and nodded. "Yes, I think you are right."
"Let's stop talking about Celeste," Leah smiled bashfully, "In front of Liam, you are an obedient little wife too."
Maria's eyes instantly widened. She looked at Leah, squealed and rushed towards her, "Aren't you the same when you are in front of Ernest? How could you say that about me?"
"We all are," Leah said, "I'm usually a tough girl. When I am in front of a guy I like, I will turn shy and blush. But I'm not as bad as Celeste. You're probably somewhere between the two of us."
"Your comment is spot on." Maria agreed with Leah.
The two of them were intertwined with each other and smiled happily.
They suddenly heard the sound of someone coughing. It was as if he was coughing on purpose.
The two of them were stunned and looked up in the direction of the stairs. Ernest was standing on the stairs. He watched the two girls who were intertwined with each other.
Leah was pressing down on Maria. They looked like a couple in love.
If it weren't for the fact that they were both women, people might have misunderstood them and thought they were getting intimate.
When Leah saw Ernest's expression, she was shocked and quickly released Maria.
She looked at him in a daze and explained, "Don't misunderstand. We were just having fun."
Ernest smiled, but he wore a strange expression. He might have been smiling, but the look on his face was deterring. It made people tremble with fear.
Leah saw him walking towards her. There was a sense of oppression. He stopped in front of her and looked down on her.
"Having fun? You seem to be very energetic. Have you regained your strength?"
Leah complained in her heart.
Maria added, "Ernest, Leah is really strong. You should tire her out more often. Don't hold back or she won't sleep with you. You will be very lonely."
Leah immediately glared at Maria and gritted her teeth, "Maria."
"I'm just telling the truth." Maria laughed triumphantly.
Ernest nodded. "Maria is right. I don't think I have to hold back anymore."
Leah's heart jolted. She looked at Ernest and changed the topic. She tried to get on his good side. "Ernest, why did you wake up so quickly? You haven't slept enough. I think you should sleep a little more. Only then will you have enough energy."
Ernest didn't say anything. A different atmosphere lingered in the air. His gaze fell onto Leah's face and he wasn't as gentle as before. There was a kind of power surging from him. It was as if he was going to knock Leah out and do something to her.
