Maria was born into a family with a good background. As Zachary's daughter, she didn't lack any money.

Now, she could easily give shares away too.

Leah looked at Maria in a daze. She didn't come back to her senses for a long time.

"What are you doing? Have you turned silly?" Maria pushed her.

Leah shook her head and laughed, "Miss Maria, don't you think you're giving out shares too easily?"

"Shares are useless. Money is nothing to me. I have always regarded money as waste, "Maria said righteously. "But friendships matter."

"Thanks in advance. Come on, let's read the script."

Leah was the original author so she was familiar with the scenes and roles that she had written.

After reading a few scenes, Maria asked her, "What do you think?"

"The scriptwriter you found is good. She didn't change my work. She only enhanced the original story. The conflicts are a lot more prominent than before."

"I told the scriptwriter to respect the original copy." Maria said, "To be honest, I dislike script writers who modify original works. They have ruined a lot of influential works."

"I think this script is better than my original work." Leah analyzed, "The characters are still the same, and the story hasn't been changed. It's just that the conflicts are more intense. There's a sense of ups and downs."

"Leah, does this mean you're satisfied with it?" Maria looked at her and blinked.

"Yes, I'm quite satisfied with it," Leah answered.

"Any opinions? Are there any suggestions you would like to give?" Maria asked her for her opinion again.

"I think the sequence here is better." Leah continued, "If it was shown in reversed order, there would be a violent conflict in the opening, and not many people want to see them recall memories. It can be tiring it there are too many memories. However, I think that you should still get the director's opinion. I prefer it to be in sequence."

"Does that mean you're praising this script?" Maria waved the script that she was holding.

Leah nodded. "Yes, I prefer this version."

"I understand. I'll let the director know that the original author prefers this version." Maria marked the version which Leah preferred. "By the way, Leah, Liam may have questions about the roles. Could you explain it to him?"

Maria asked politely and pleadingly.

Leah couldn't help but admire Maria when she saw her like that. "Why are you being so polite? Even though we haven't known each other for a very long time, I still consider us close friends. You want to start a business with me, and you even want to give me shares. You don't have to be so polite. Besides, isn't our company's agenda to promote Liam?"

Maria immediately laughed happily when she heard what Leah said. "You're the best, Leah."

"Of course." Leah admitted openly, "I am. You can just ask me if you have any questions. How about this? When we go for dinner later, we'll create a group and add the two of them in. That way, all of you can ask questions, and I can answer it there. How does that sound?"

"Of course Liam and I are okay with it. I just don't know what Ernest will think. Would he blame us for taking up too much of your time?" Maria looked at Leah with her shining eyes. She was obviously overthinking.

Leah smiled and said, "Hey, stop that. You know fully well what kind of person Ernest is. He would never think that way. Besides, when he read my book, he had his own interpretation of the story. So I think tha you can also ask Ernest about it. The four of us might even be able to discuss the characters together."

"Sure thing, then we will create the group chat at dinner." Maria couldn't wait any longer.

The butler came in and asked them, "Miss Maria, Miss Leah, are you two hungry? Dinner is ready. Do you want to eat?"

Maria and Leah looked at their watches, then at each other. After discussing about it for a little while, they said, "Just get it ready. We'll wait for Liam and Ernest to come down first."

The butler looked upstairs and sighed, "The two young masters haven't come down yet. It seems that they have severe kidney deficiency. They need to be given lots of nutrition. If not, their bodies would be too weak."

Both Maria and Leah were caught off guard. They looked at the butler.

The butler smiled at the two of them and said, "I'm going to prepare some soup now. You two ladies should advise the young masters to eat more later."

"Butler, how about this? Why don't you cook some pork ribs broth, some astragalus gossamer, some tonic, and some high protein food?" Leah looked at the butler and then said, "Since it's about their kidneys, then you should cook more food that nourishes their kidneys. Boiled prawns, steamed raw quails, and some salmon. You can cook them if you have them, but if we don't, then forget it."

"Yes, of course we have these." The butler looked at Leah in surprise, "Miss Winston, you seem to know a lot."

"I don't know a lot." Leah smiled and said, "Just a correction. They don't have kidney deficiencies. They are just tired."

The butler nodded and thought for a moment. "Since they're just tired, should we still nourish them?"

"Of course we have to. Even if they don't have kidney deficiencies, it would still be of great help to them." Leah was still smiling as she looked at the butler. Besides, she wasn't in a hurry.

The butler looked at Leah for a while and nodded. "Okay, I'll go to the kitchen and get it ready immediately. By the way, what else do you two ladies want to eat?"

"I'd like to eat barbecue. Is that okay?" Leah was a little hungry. "It would be best if you could cook

them a little longer. It would taste better."

"That won't be a problem. We have an oven."

"I'll have some then. Thank you." Leah was very polite.

"You're welcome. I'll go in first." The butler quickly left.

Maria looked at Leah and laughed. "The butler is probably anxious. The dishes you asked him to prepare are going to keep him busy for some time."

"If he's not busy, he'd continue to tease Ernest and Liam. Old men like him like to gossip because they are lonely. If he has something to do, then he wouldn't be so free as to talk to us. We just have to divert his attention, right?"

Maria nodded. "That's right, I just created a group chat. I will add you in first, and then I will add Ernest and Liam."

"Yeah. Let's not disturb them now. We should let them sleep for a little while longer," Leah nodded. She looked around the living room and asked, "Have Gary and Celeste left for Boston?"

"Yes, you came at the wrong time. They just left. If you had come two days earlier, not only would you have been able to see them, you would've even been able to see your future in-laws." Just at that moment, Celeste video called Maria.
