Ernest frowned when he heard that, and the look in his eyes became harsh. He said, "When did I ever say that I would break up with you? You're mine, and you will forever be mine."

Leah pursed her lips. He said this last time, and yet he still broke up with her. Life was full of uncertainties.

She felt that he couldn't promise her anything before there was a clear conclusion.

Ernest assured her, saying, "Don't worry, I'm serious this time. You'll be mine forever, got it? If so, then I really need to invite all your classmates to a gathering. If not, you're going to end up replaceing another man behind my back. Well, I won't give you the chance."

"I won't look for other men. I'm a very loyal person, "Leah murmured.

"Then calm down and stop overthinking. Just be my girlfriend." Ernest's voice was low as he said, "I already said it earlier that I'm not someone who's really proactive. The only person who can make me do this is you, so stop thinking so much." "Oh." Leah's eyes lit up and she was a little

excited.

"Celeste has never been a threat to you, and we're just classmates. At most, she'll be my sister-in-law in the future. Of course, you'd end up being sisters as well.

If I don't set the record straight now, you might be affected by it in the future.

Leah, I want to explain it properly to you this time, and this is the last time I want to say this. Celeste and I have nothing going on, do you hear me?"

Leah noticed that Ernest had a very serious expression on his face, and she felt that she may have been too sensitive before. However, it couldn't be denied that Ernest had once fancied Celeste. She nodded. "Okay, I got it."

Ernest threw a look at Leah and said, "Let's eat."

Leah nodded and began to eat.

Her appetite had improved due to her good mood.

Ernest took the noodles she had cooked and ate them all. He didn't care if the noodles had swelled into a gloopy mess as he slurped it all up.

Leah was moved, and she noticed that Ernest's eyes were bloodshot.

He took a red eye flight back home, so it was likely

that he hadn't slept much.

Leah observed Ernest carefully and found that he'd lost weight.

Both of them had gotten thinner.

Leah was both distressed and happy at the same time.

Ernest losing weight meant that the breakup had affected him too.

Then, it meant that she wasn't suffering alone. At least Ernest still had feelings for her.

After this discovery, Leah genuinely felt much better.

A proud smile revealed itself on her face, and Ernest raised an eyebrow at the sight. "Why are you smiling?"

Leah swallowed a mouthful of food before she used a napkin to wipe her mouth. Then she said, "I'm full."

Ernest smiled faintly at her. "Well, what a coincidence, I'm full as well. Seems like you're eager for our next activity, no?"

Leah immediately became embarrassed before she said, "Hey! I wasn't thinking of that when I smiled, I just!"

"You just what?" Ernest got up and pulled Leah up with him.

Leah looked at his handsome face and said, "I just feel better after knowing that we've both lost weight. At least I'm not the only one suffering after the breakup."

Ernest paused for a moment before he looked at Leah carefully. "I'm quite upset that you've lost weight."

Then, he held Leah's hand and kissed it.

Her fingers were pale and slender, but they were marked by a few calluses, especially the areas where she held the mouse.

Leah was a little embarrassed by his gaze. "Why are you staring at my hand?"

"I'm not just staring at your hand, I want to see other places as well." His tone was gentle as he glanced at Leah. "I want to know exactly how much you've slimmed down so I know how to fix it." Three minutes later, Leah was stark naked in front of Ernest.

He looked at her and said, "You've lost too much weight."

Leah shook his head. "Don't worry, you've lost weight in places that you should have. The others places are still very satisfactory."

For example, his chest muscles were still taut and firm.

Ernest grabbed her hand immediately and said, "It's just because my waist has gotten smaller. That's why it looks bigger."

Leah then pulled her hand away.

However, Ernest turned the tables, on Leah and pulled her into bed with him.

The both of them spent all afternoon tangled in bed together. They had gone two rounds in that span of time.

When Ernest wanted to go for the third round, Leah stopped him immediately. "No, I need to go to school. There's something I need to attend to. We took a day off just to deal with this, and I don't even know what happened."

Ernest was rather dissatisfied. He stared at Leah with his dark eyes and said bitterly, "What's more important than me?"

Leah replied, "They're two different things. Either way, I still have to go to school as I'm still a student. You should go to bed while I'm gone. Your eyes are all bloodshot now, so are you really going to see my classmates looking like that?"

What Leah said did the trick.

Ernest did not reply, but he grabbed Leah and gave her a hickey on his neck.

The hickey was very obvious.

Leah gasped and grumbled, "Hey! What are you doing? It hurts!"

Only then did Ernest let go of her. He smiled mysteriously and said, "I'm marking you so that those other boys will stay away from you."

Leah was in awe of how narrow-minded Ernest could be sometimes.

Either way, Leah carefully covered the hickey with a high collared sweater. However, it was positioned so that any movement would reveal it.

The hickey was situated right between the neck and the chin.

Hence, Leah accidentally revealed it when she turned her head after she met Lydia. Lydia grabbed the collar of Leah's sweater and observed the hickey. "F*ck, you look positively glowing today, and you have a hickey on your neck. Tell me, were you with a man yesterday night?" Lydia interrogated Leah seriously.

Leah shook her head. "No, I wasn't with any man last night."

What she said was true. There was indeed no man last night.

However, there was a man this morning, but that didn't really count as a lie, right?

"You're lying. This hickey had to be left by a man. It's fresh, so it must have been left this morning if it wasn't last night." Lydia was a very observant woman, and she fixed her gaze onto Leah's neck. Leah was found out, and she evaded Lydia's hand. "What about it? So what if I slept with someone? I have needs too, you know?"

"No way, Leah! Did you get an escort?" Lydia exclaimed in surprise. "Don't you have a boyfriend? How could you do this? Even if you have needs, you can't be that desperate, right?"

Leah was exasperated at how quickly Lydia jumped to conclusions. She frowned and said, "Since when did I get an escort? Can't I have been with my boyfriend? What are you thinking?" Did a hickey mean that she went out and called a gigolo?

Did Lydia think she was that kind of woman?

"Oh, you weren't with an escort?" Lydia breathed a sigh of relief. "You scared me, you know. Well, is your boyfriend back from London?"

"Yes, he's back." Leah nodded, revealing a shy smile.

"When did he get back?"

"This morning." "F*ck, you guys did it in the morning? How exciting! You guys must have been all over each other."
