"I'm fine with that actually. Celeste and I don't have anything going on. It's just that Gary is quite possessive and unreasonable compared to me. Are you sure you want to provoke him?" Ernest smiled faintly as he spoke to Leah.

Leah was shocked. However, she quickly recovered and said, "Since I'm your girlfriend, aren't you going to protect me?"

Leah asked that question to see what Ernest would say.

"Are you admitting that you're my girlfriend?" asked Ernest, with a bigger smile on his face.

Leah paused and kicked herself internally. She'd literally dug her own grave with that question. She lowered her gaze and muttered, "It's not like I have any other man."

"Are you agreeing to us getting back together?" Ernest asked.

Leah paused before she took a deep breath and nodded. Then, she looked into Ernest's eyes.

He extended his arms outward, and Leah flung herself into them. She wrapped her legs around

Ernest's waist as they kissed passionately.

Of course, she couldn't be too dramatic.

Ernest had really put away all his ego and pride for this, so she couldn't ask for too much.

Of course, Leah was powerless against Ernest's charm.

Rationality flew out the window as they both entered the room in a hurry.

Ernest pinned Leah on the bed and they kissed for a very long time. As he was about to put it in, he paused and asked with gasping breaths, "Were you really not pregnant?" Leah shook her head. "No, never. If I was, I'd keep the baby."

She could never bear to terminate her own pregnancy.

Ernest lowered his head and kissed her. Then, he looked up and said, "No, I'll take a shower. You can eat first. We can do it after you finish eating."

He was weary and dirty from the journey, so it wasn't hygienic to have sex before he showered.

Meanwhile, Leah was incredibly aroused. It had been too long since she got laid, and she felt like her youth was withering away.

Now, her body had come back to life again, and it was clawing with need. She was annoyed at how

Ernest stopped at the very last moment.

Nevertheless, he was right.

Ernest smiled at her expression and asked, "Why? Do you want to keep going?"

Leah's entire face turned red when she heard that. She nudged Ernest and said, "I'm going to eat, you go take a shower. Well eat together after you're done showering."

"Crack open the takeout I bought." Ernest pulled Leah up and they walked out of the room.

Leah's legs were so weak that she could barely walk, which made her feel very uncomfortable.

Honestly, she felt like she should take a bath instead as she felt sticky all over. However, Ernest had slipped straight into the shower.

Leah watched him walk around her house as if it was his own, and she felt like there was a lot to Ernest that she still didn't know. He was actually quite a dominant man underneath it all.

At least he was not passive this time around.

If Ernest hadn't taken the initiative, neither would Leah.

Then, the possibility of reconciliation would be zero.

Fortunately, he came to her anyway.

Her heart, which had gone cold, came alive again.

Warmth filled Leah's body.

Ernest showed that he still loved Leah through his actions, because he did not make any move on Celeste. Instead, he let Gary have her instead.

However, he took the initiative to ask her to get back together. What did that mean?

Hence, Leah felt that there was still a lot of hope.

Leah had no choice but to search for a bathrobe as Ernest didn't bring any clothes with him into the shower. On Christmas Eve, she'd bought him a big and fluffy bathrobe, which ended up in the back of her closet after their breakup.

Well, there was use for it now. Leah took the bathrobe out of the closet in preparation for Ernest.

She came out of the bedroom, put the bathrobe on the table before she went to sort out all the food.

She put the takeout on the table. Ernest had been in the shower for about ten minutes when he shouted, "Leah, can you get a towel for me?"

Leah walked to the bathroom door and knocked on it.

The door opened and a strong arm reached out to grab Leah and dragged her inside.

"Ah!" Leah cried out in alarm before Ernest kissed her.

The humid air around her made her nether regions moist as well.

Ernest kept kissing Leah as he placed her atop the sink.

He stood in front of Leah naked and looked at her.

Meanwhile, Leah's eyes we're looking all over the place.

"What are you doing? You're wet all over, and you made me wet too," Leah grumbled.

"Made you wet, huh?" Ernest chuckled in a low voice as he pressed his forehead against hers.

Leah blushed crimson when she heard this.

Ernest's voice was a deep baritone, and it made Leah's knees weak. There was a pull low in her belly, and she shook her head. "I was talking about my clothes."

"I was talking about the clothes as well." He smiled and said some teasing words in Leah's ear, which made her blush.

"Put on your clothes. Hurry up, okay? It's time to eat," Leah urged.

She didn't want anything to happen in the bathroom.

Ernest nodded and said, "Help me put them on then."

Leah was taken aback, and she hopped off the sink with the blush still on her face. Then, she wrapped the bathrobe around him.

The bathrobe was bought according to Ernest's height, and it suited him very well.

Ernest held Leah in his arms as she tied the sash around his waist. They spent some more time in the bathroom before Ernest carried her out.

They took some time before they sat down to enjoy their quickly cooling breakfast.

Leah looked at the chicken soup and thought of what he said before. She asked, "You bought chicken soup because you thought I got rid of the baby?"

"Yeah." Ernest nodded, giving her a look. "Looks I misunderstood it very badly."

"Where did you hear that from?" Leah felt it strange as she'd never said she was pregnant.

Ernest did not answer. Instead, he said, "I interpreted it wrongly."

Leah frowned and asked, "Did Maria do this?"

Ernest was stunned and nodded. "You can say that."

"Dang, she really knows how to stir things up, doesn't she? Plus, you believed what she said right away? If you didn't think I was pregnant, would you have come to me?" Leah asked. "No, if it weren't for this, I would've come looking for you as well," Ernest said seriously.

Leah was relieved at what Ernest said.

He said that without any trace of hesitation, and it calmed her down.

Ernest glanced at her, noticing that she was silent. Then, he smiled and asked, "Did you think I wouldn't come looking for you?"

Leah nodded, "You said that we shouldn't see one another after we broke up, and I thought we would never ever get back together. Plus, I wouldn't have sought you out if you didn't come to see me." Leah lowered her head as she said this. She was still hurt by what he said last time.

Ernest frowned, "Who was that guy in the video call? Doesn't he understand the concept of personal boundaries?"

Leah was shocked at Ernest's question. "Did you come back just because you saw my class monitor?"

"I would have come back even if I didn't see him." Ernest fed Leah a piece of meat and said, "I came back this time to invite your classmates to a gathering. At the same time I want to tell them that you have a boyfriend so that they won't get any ideas."

Leah immediately protested, "That sucks! If you break up with me, isn't it going to be hard for me to replace a boyfriend?"
