True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1807
"It's true. If you don't believe me, you can read it yourself. Then, you'll know what I meant by the hormones driven and smutty content." Leah directly handed her phone to Ernest, but in the next second, something came across her mind, and she took it back while saying, "Read it on your own phone. I'm taking mine with me into the toilet."
Afterward, she picked up her phone and walked toward the bathroom.
Her guarded look made Ernest knit his brows and wonder what the secrets in her phone were.
He really wanted to know those secrets of hers.
She refused to let him see her secrets. He didn't like the feeling of others hiding something from him, especially when it was his beloved woman.
That kind of feeling was very irritating.
He swept his eyes over Leah's old phone on the table.
At that moment, it was still connected to the computer with a cable. It was just that its screen was still broken.
Ernest felt that he still had a chance to take a stealthy look at the content in her old phone through the computer, but he shook his head at last, thinking that that behavior was not morally righteous. He had to wait for the day when Leah was willing to let him see it.
He thought such a day would come eventually.
Ernest did not read the updated content on the website. Instead, he went straight to the kitchen to boil some water.
By the time Leah came out from the washroom, she saw him in the kitchen, and she couldn't help asking, "Have you read the updated content? Did you sense the scent of testosterone and the lascivious powe that gets your blood flowing?"
Ernest nodded. "I have read the content, but I didn't sense any scent of testosterone or the lascivious power. You know what? I think you and your editor are quite lascivious."
Ernest really couldn't grasp what was going on in the girls' minds. He wondered how they were able to perceive those things by just reading a thousand-word updated content. He really didn't replace them that exciting.
Leah frowned and retorted, "Why didn't you sense that? It's glaringly obvious."
"It's not obvious at all. Why don't you point it out for me?" Ernest gave her a meaningful look. Even if what he had written was somewhat suggestive, it was just a real reaction of a man.
Without further ado, Leah turned on her phone and highlighted certain lines in the content before showing to him. "Read here, and here."
Ernest took a look at the content and shrugged. "What I saw only was only the male protagonist's longing for the female protagonist. I didn't see anything else."
"That's it. The way he describes the male protagonist is so smutty. The protagonist has been missing the female protagonist ever since her death that was plotted by me. He misses her so much that he even dreams about sleeping with her and has a nocturnal emission because of that. Isn't all this very obvious?"
"Does it make it obvious?" Ernest gave a light snort, expressing his disapproval pointedly.
However, Leah said, "He keeps thinking about the female protagonist, even in his dreams. What's more, he ejaculates due to that. How libidinous does he need to be for him to act in this way? Also, how libidinous is the author for him to write such content?"
Ernest's lips twitched uncontrollably. "Why do I feel that it's a natural occurrence? Instead, I think the author is trying to enlighten the readers about this natural occurrence. In fact, it will easily happen to a married man who hasn't had sex for a few months. This is very scientific."
"Scientific?" Leah blinked, looked at Ernest and asked, "Then, did such a scientific phenomenon happen to you in the time when we broke up?"
It had never occurred to Ernest that Leah would ask him that question, and it seemed to be quite a sharp question.
If he refused to answer it, he would seem reticent. On the other hand, if he answered it, wouldn't some of his secrets be revealed?
After musing on it momentarily, Ernest told her frankly, "That's right, during that period of time, such natural phenomenon did happen to me."
"What?" Leah was struck dumb. She stared blankly at him for a long time without moving before saying, "Did you dream of me as well?"
Ernest's dark eyes were fixed unblinkingly on Leah when he nodded, and his expression was very sober. "Yeah. Not only did I dream of you, but I also dreamt about making love with you in all positions that I desired."
A flush rose to her cheeks in a trice, and it crept all the way to her ears.
Ernest gazed at Leah with his deep eyes while saying softly, "This is the power of longing. I think it's an instinct. If this is the power of hormones that you mentioned, it's also a natural occurrence that truly happens to men in real world. Perhaps it's a bit lustful to dream of a woman, but then, isn't love itself lustful?"
"We were talking about the male's protagonist lasciviousness. I didn't expect you to be so lascivious too." Leah commented to herself, "It seems that I'm too ignorant. Why was I unaware of this?"
"If you consider it as a lasciviousness, then I admit it." Ernest nodded. "I really missed you in this way, and I always want to treat you lasciviously."
Leah was startled for a moment, then she smiled sheepishly.
She didn't expect that Ernest would say those words to her.
Also, she didn't expect him to associate themselves with the male and female protagonists.
Leah sighed and said shyly, "Originally, I thought I would be an excellent author, at least to finish my own novel with a good ending. Yet, after breaking up with you in London, I lost my interest completely to continue writing this novel. The muse had left me suddenly due to the break-up."
Hearing Leah's words, Ernest's eyes dimmed. He looked at Leah and apologized in a soft voice, "I'm sorry, Leah, it was all my fault."
Leah shook her head right away. "No, it had nothing to do with you. It was my own fault. I was not strong enough."
"You were not strong enough because you loved me enough." Ernest smiled and replied, "It was because you loved me that I was able to replace you again. If you didn't love me enough, I'm afraid I couldn't have found you again no matter how hard I tried."
That was the first time she heard those words from him. In response to it, she gave a sheepish smile. At the same time, she admitted it unambiguously too.
"Yes, I love you so much. That's why I'm doomed to be the most useless one." Leah sighed dejectedly.
"My silly girl, don't be so critical of yourself. Do you think I led a happy life after breaking up with you?"
Leah pouted and answered, "You must have had a tough time. Both of us have lost weight. It was a learning process for us being in a relationship.
Just now, when I heard that you were missing me like how the male protagonist misses the female protagonist, I felt a sense of happiness. I had a feeling that if I die like her, you will miss me the same way. That will be a very blissful ending for me.
Hearing the word "die", Ernest covered her mouth at once by placing his slender fingers on her lips.
There was seriousness in his eyes while he said word by word, "I don't allow you to say that. You've to live a long life together with me. Henceforth, you can't use the word 'die' on yourself. Do you hear me?" She noticed that the seriousness and panic in his eyes were resembling the male protagonist's look when he witnessed the death of the female protagonist.
Leah felt that she was really very happy. She smiled and nodded. "Okay, I won't say it. It's a pity that the female protagonist had to die. In the original plot I planned, she lives to the end, but I was affected by our relationship back then that I couldn't help changing the ending."
Ernest nodded in realization. "It doesn't matter. She can be revived in the sequel. In this way, the story will be spiced up." "Wait, ah!" Looking at the bright smile of Ernest, Leah suddenly recollected something. She cried out in surprise, which gave Ernest a fright.
Without delay, Ernest asked, "Why are you screaming?"
"Ernest, it seems that you haven't asked me about the hiatus of the novel all this while. You also haven't asked me about the sequel writer. Aren't you curious about it?" Leah finally thought of the matter. Being staggered, Ernest realized that she was indeed slow on the uptake.
She was at times smart and decisive, and at times stubborn yet charismatic.
Unfortunately, she appeared to be dim-witted when it came to affairs regarding the sequel writer.
Looking at Leah, Ernest smiled enigmatically without saying a word.
"What are you smiling about? Aren't you curious?" He didn't speak, therefore she asked again.
Only then did Ernest answer, "Of course I'm curious. With regard to the matter that you stopped updating, it wasn't until recent times that I found out about it."
"That's not right." Leah blinked in confusion. After thinking for a while, she gave a moue. "Why are you so calm if you've just discovered it?"
"It's been a few days since I found out." Ernest still maintained the gentle smile. "What are you trying to say?"
"I just replace it very strange. You've just gotten to know it, but you are not curious about it. Moreover, the relationship between the male and female protagonists doesn't concern you. You used to ask me about it in the past." Leah still found it strange. "Your behavior doesn't make sense to me."
Ernest laughed and replied, "I'm pretty happy that you wrote it like that because it at least proves that you love me. The fact that you gave the story a bad ending because of me implies that our relationship has affected your life. Although I shouldn't be thinking this way, this is my sincere thoughts, and I don't want to deny it."
Leah, on the other hand, was dumbfounded.
"Why do I feel like you are gloating?"
Ernest nodded. "Sort of, but didn't someone continue to write it for you already? Judging by your expression, you seem to be very satisfied with the content by the sequel writer."
Leah nodded. "I'm indeed quite satisfied with the content. It also allows me to understand a man's mindset from a different perspective. It turns out that a man knows more about the male protagonist's mind. I thought I knew it the best in the past."
Ernest chuckled and said, "If you want to understand more about the male protagonist, and be adept at writing male characters, you should spend more time with me to accumulate some experiences from
me."
