True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1944 The Four Children Of The Jones Family, Gary Smith (Part 719)
Upon hearing what Leah said, Ernest laughed out loud. He was so elated that his body trembled.
He buried his handsome face in Leah's neck. When Ernest chuckled, his breath landed in Leah's ears, causing her heart to skip a beat.
Leah realized that she was moved by Ernest's laughter once again.
"What are you laughing at?" She could not help but pat his back gently. "I don't know why you are laughing, it feels like I asked a silly question."
"It is a silly question." Ernest stopped laughing, he looked down at her and said, "You don't have to doubt Gary's feelings for Celeste, he really likes Celeste. It is just that his chauvinism will sometimes be bigger than his heart. It can make one feel that he doesn't really pay much attention to Celeste. However, in reality, he likes her very much."
"Oh." Leah blinked, she thought about it carefully. However, she still thought that it was incredible. "Your brother is a real weirdo." "Maybe I am a weirdo in the eyes of other people too," Ernest smiled and said, "Let's go back to the apartment to pack up. After that, we will head to the mountains, okay?"
"Okay." Leah nodded, before she left, she reminded Ernest, "If they really want to come to the mountain villa with us, don't refuse them. It will be better for all of us to enjoy ourselves there."
"Sure thing." Ernest saluted.
Leah laughed out loud.
After that, they went downstairs together.
When they arrived downstairs, they realized that no one else was in the dining room. Gary and Celeste must have gone upstairs.
At that moment, Gary was in his room.
The moment they entered the room, he hugged Celeste tightly and leaned against the door. He stared straight into Celeste seriously and asked clearly, "Do you doubt my feelings for you?" Celeste looked into his dark eyes too. When she saw how nervous he was, she did not replace it funny at all.
Oh Gary. How could he be frightened by Leah's words?
Naturally, she would not doubt him. After all, they had gone through so much, how could they be separated by just mere words?
What was more, Leah did not mean any harm. Celeste thought that Leah did that out of kindness.
She was not angry, nor did she take it to heart. She felt that Leah had seen through Gary's thoughts. There seemed to be a faint spark of fire between Gary and Ernest. That was why she said those things. However, she was very curious too. Why were they suddenly dragged into a showdown between the brothers?
Celeste stared into Gary's eyes and did not say anything. The longer she remained silent, the more nervous Gary got.
He could not control himself any longer. He pinched her chin with his big hand and made her look in his eyes. Then he asked, enunciating each word, "Did you doubt me? Do you think that I am a man who is afraid to be embarrassed?"
When Celeste heard the question, she could not control herself and burst into laughter.
Gary was dumbfounded at her reaction. His handsome face froze for a moment as he stared at Celeste's smiling face. "What's wrong?"
"Are you a fool?" Celeste could not help but ask. "What happened between you and Ernest just now? You were fine before you went downstairs.
Why did you suddenly treat him as an enemy?" "You say that I am making things difficult for him, but why don't you say that it is the other way around? I mentioned the renovations for him, but he still wants to be the good guy. How could he say that he slept well? He clearly heard us, but still pretended as if nothing happened. I don't like it when he does that."
When Celeste heard that, she was stupefied. "So you're angry just because of that?"
Gary could not help but retort, "What do you mean by just that? This is not a small matter at all. This is a very serious matter."
Hearing Gary's words, Celeste's lips twitched. She said, "I think it is a small matter. Was what you did really necessary?"
"I think it was," Gary said seriously.
Celeste was left speechless. She sighed and said, "It is possible for Ernest to sometimes show his chauvinism. Besides, you two are one and the same."
"But I am so jealous of Ernest. Leah stood up to fight for him, while you didn't even say a word for me." Gary looked at Celeste as he complained, his eyes and voice filled with grievance. Celeste raised her eyebrows and looked at Gary, amused by how childish he was.
Celeste laughed and said, "That is because I think you are very strong. You don't need a weak woman to protect you. Ernest is weak. Naturally, he needs a strong woman to protect him. So I didn't say anything. I am your girlfriend and their future sister-in-law. Naturally, I have to play my role well. Otherwise, how will they respect me? If they don't respect me, that means they don't respect you, right?" When Gary heard that, he blinked and mulled over Celeste's words. "What you said really does make a lot of sense."
Celeste smiled and said, "Besides, you have already said that and I still didn't get mad at you, right? If I were a stingy woman, I would have already gotten angry at you."
"Good thing you are not angry." Gary immediately smiled at Celeste. "I know that you are the most generous girl in the world."
He was really happy. Obviously, Celeste's words pleased him.
Gary got closer to Celeste's face and asked in a low voice, "Celeste, you can tell that Ernest is not all stars and sunshine, right? He has quite the male chauvinism side to him too, right?" Celeste thought it was funny but she played along and nodded. "Maybe."
Gary hugged Celeste happily, he kissed her face and said, "Celeste, you are the best."
After she was kissed, Celeste turned back and looked at him and she said, "Oh, you are so childish. Why do you insist on joining in with them? It's obvious that Ernest wants to be alone with Leah, but you kept insisting on joining them." "Do you think that I don't want to be alone with you?"
"I couldn't tell. When you were so anxious to join them, I couldn't tell how bad you wanted to be alone with me."
"I was doing that on purpose just now, I wanted to watch Ernest suffer." Gary smiled. "Actually, if you don't want to go out with them, we can still go out alone."
Celeste shook her head. "No. Actually, I want to go with them. Besides, we have our private space in the villa in the mountains. If we want to be alone, we can be alone. If you don't want to, we can still have fur together. It's a great idea. I think they might have the same thoughts too. At least, I think that Leah has that thought."
"Well, if you really think so, then let's go to the mountains together." Gary still listened to Celeste's opinion. "But you have to be careful. I don't think Leah is someone who is easy to get along with."
Celeste was a little speechless. She reprimanded him, "You are the eldest son of The Jones family. Don't act like a child."
"I'm just saying." Gary hugged Celeste tightly. He leaned in and kissed her cheek then pouted and said, "This is a secret conversation between us. I am only letting you know."
Celeste took a deep breath, blushing hard. She felt a little embarrassed but also felt a warm feeling growing in her heart.
She thought of how immersed she was in her happiness and she relaxed.
She did not want to be a naggy woman. She wanted to lead a happy life.
"Then it's decided? Well go to the mountain villa?" Celeste looked up at him and asked for his opinion.
Gary was still filled with unwillingness. Now that they were alone, he refused to leave.
Celeste patiently said, "Didn't we already agree? You have to set a good example as the eldest son. Plus, there are also benefits to us going there first. For example, we can choose a room first. I'd like a room where we can see the view."
Upon hearing that, Gary's eyes flashed. He immediately lowered his head and looked at Celeste. He smiled and said, "Celeste, I did not expect you to be so sneaky."
