True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1945 The Four Children Of The Jones Family, Gary Smith (Part 720)
Celeste looked up at him and said, "Does that mean that you agree to my proposal?"
Gary nodded. "That's right, I fully agree with your suggestion. Not only do I agree with your suggestion, but I should also call Ernest and tell him that we are going over there first and that they're not allowed to back out."
When Celeste heard that, she felt gratified. "I am really happy that you can think this way. Okay, hurry up and call Ernest. I will pack up first. After that, we can go."
"Okay." Only then did Gary raise his head and leave Celeste's side to take his phone.
By the time Ernest received Gary's call, Ernest and Leah had already left the house.
Ernest glanced at his phone, the caller ID showing Gary's name.
Leah immediately asked, "Who's calling you? Why aren't you answering the call?"
"It's Gary," he said, "I don't want to answer it."
"Why?" Leah was confused.
"I don't want to answer it," Ernest said, "He must have heard us leaving. That must be why he is calling me."
"Don't be so stingy. What if your brother isn't trying to make fun of you this time?" Leah asked. "No matter what it is, you should answer the call first."
Ernest thought for a while. In the end, he answered the call.
"Gary."
"Hey, Ernest, I have already discussed this with Celeste. We are planning to go to the villa before you two. The two of you can come at any time you want. However, all four of us must go, no backing out," Gary said directly.
"Oh." Ernest was also surprised. "We are going to Leah's apartment first. You two go ahead. If we don't leave tonight, I will let you know."
"Alright." Gary did not insist. "That's all, then."
"Okay, goodbye." Ernest hung up the phone then looked at Leah.
Leah burst into laughter. "Haha."
Ernest asked, "What are you laughing at?"
"I am laughing at how childish you two are. Sometimes, you two are as petty as children," Leah said, "Gary was going against you this morning but suddenly changed his tune. You were so narrow-minded a while ago. He just wanted to call you and didn't mean anything else. That's great."
Ernest nodded, and could not help but laugh too. "I thought that he was going to say something bad again."
Leah thought about it and said, "It must be Celeste. She must have told him something after breakfast that made your brother change his mind."
"It could be." Ernest sighed.
"If that is the case, it means that Gary really likes Celeste and cares about her."
"Of course he does."
"Then I guess I was narrow-minded a little while ago too." Leah shrugged and criticized herself, "I was thinking too much."
"It's fine." Ernest comforted her, "Don't worry about it."
"Sure, I won't take it to heart." The two of them then returned to her apartment.
The moment she entered the door, Leah turned on her laptop to check her updates.
When Ernest saw her opening her browser, he could not help but ask, "What are you looking at?" "I am catching up. Don't you think it is funny? I am catching up on my own book. Even though it started out as my book, now someone else is writing the later parts. It is kind of funny. I can't believe I am addicted as both an author and a reader. The writing isn't bad."
Ernest's eyes flashed once more. "Go on, I will get you a glass of water."
"Okay." Leah nodded. "Go, do what you must, I will take a nap after I finish reading."
Ernest nodded and left.
Leah realized that book was updated at 3:30 a.m.
What a time to update! Doesn't he have to sleep at night?
Leah saw that there were over 6,000 words, as per usual.
When Ernest came back, Leah told him, "Ernest, do you think I should thank this person who is helping me write? They don't want any money at all. I really think that it's so well-written that my fanbase has increased by a lot. I will feel bad if I don't compensate him somehow."
After a moment of silence, Ernest said, "The website should be handling this, just take it as if nothing has happened."
"But I know someone is helping me write. How can I pretend that nothing happened?" Leah looked at him. "I just think it's so well-written that I have to show my gratitude. I can't let it go." "Since you can't let it go, then why don't you continue studying well first? In the future, you can use your knowledge to help those who can't afford lawyers. You might be able to repay the person who has helped you write by giving back to society." There was a hidden meaning in Ernest's words, "Perhaps the other party hopes you would do that?"
Upon hearing Ernest's words, Leah felt incredible. "Ernest, you are amazing! But they don't know that I am studying law."
A flash of light glimmered in Ernest's eyes, he avoided the topic and said, "It doesn't matter what their intentions are, but it can never be wrong for you to study well, right?"
Leah was left speechless, she forgot what her original intentions were.
She nodded unconsciously. "That makes sense."
"Are you done with the updates? Are you going to take a nap or are you going study first?" asked Ernest.
Leah was stunned. She stared at Ernest blankly and suddenly realized that she had not studied for quite a number of days.
She read a little the day before but she was later interrupted by her mother.
Besides, she had been indulging herself with Ernest in their happy little world. Studying was the last thing on her mind.
When Ernest asked about her studies, she could not help but feel ashamed.
"Oh, then I will study a bit before I sleep," Leah said as she lowered her head.
She was originally planning to sleep. But if she said it now, wouldn't it make her sound like a lazy pig?
Seeing Leah's face suddenly turn red, Ernest sighed and said, "Hurry up and sleep first. You will have more energy to study after you wake up."
"Then when are we going to go to the villa?" Leah could not help but ask.
She saw Ernest looking at her with a complicated look, it seemed like he wanted to say something, but stopped himself in the end.
"Is there something you want to tell me?" Leah asked in surprise.
"No," Ernest hurriedly said, "We'll talk about going to the villa after you wake up. Don't worry about that."
"Oh." Leah nodded. She seemed to have thought of something and asked, "How about you? Don't you need sleep?"
Ernest shook his head. "No, you go ahead and sleep first."
Was he not going to sleep?
Leah thought that it was a little strange. How could she sleep alone?
No, if she was going to be decadent, then he should accompany her.
Leah immediately got up and pulled him along with her. She looked at him with a pitiful expression. "Let's sleep together. I can't sleep alone."
Ernest was dumbfounded before his expression cleared. He looked at her with a faint smile and said, "You have to think about it carefully. If you want me to accompany you, then it won't be as simple as sleeping."
It was Leah's turn to be stunned. She clenched her fists and grumbled, "If I don't hold you, are you able to remain this simple? I don't think so."
Upon hearing that, Ernest laughed. "Yes, you are right."
"Then do you want to sleep together?" Leah asked with a smile.
