True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)
Chapter 1947 The Four Children Of The Jones Family, Gary Smith (Part 722)

Not long after that, the butler hurriedly came down from the third floor and respectfully said, "Master Ernest, Miss Winston, the room has been cleaned up. Would you two like to rest before dinner?" "We'll have dinner before resting," Ernest said, "Leah and I will go upstairs to wash up first. Can dinner be served in half an hour?"

"Of course." The butler immediately replied, "Madam Grace informed us earlier. She said that the four of you will be staying here for a few days and that we should serve you as best as we can." "Thank you," Ernest said.

"Our pleasure." The butler immediately went to prepare dinner.

Ernest then brought Leah upstairs.

When they reached the third floor...

Ernest and Leah stood at the door of the first room on the right, not moving. Leah lowered her voice and said, "I can't hear anything. Are they in the room or not?" "Of course they are, it's just that the sound insulation here is better. How could you suspect them of not being in the room?" Ernest laughed as he looked at Leah.

Leah was stunned too. "Did you say that the soundproofing here is good?"

Ernest nodded. "It looks like you don't believe me."

Leah dared not admit it. After all, the experience she had the previous night was still haunting her.

Upon seeing Leah's reaction, Ernest laughed too. He grabbed her by the arm and dragged her into their room.

They went in together.

What they saw were a luxuriously large bed and decadent decoration. There were large windows and a balcony facing the sun.

There was also an ensuite bathroom. In other words, the facilities there were perfect.

Leah sighed. The Jones family had a lot of properties and this was just a small part of it.

Leah walked towards the window after she entered. She could see the scenery outside at a glance.

When she looked out, she saw an open-air bath outside.

"Wow! Is that a swimming pool?" Leah asked.

Ernest nodded. "Not only that, there are indoor ones too. If you want to go for a swim, we can use the indoor one. The outdoor one is better during the summers. It is too cold now." "That is truly luxurious." Leah could not help but sigh.

Ernest smiled. "Do you like it here?"

"Of course! I don't think anyone would dislike this place. It is far from the busy city so the air here is fresh. It is so beautiful." She really liked the place.

The villa was filled with greenery. There were mountains, trees, bridges, and rivers everywhere. The whole place was natural and quaint.

The more she looked, the more she thought it was enchantingly beautiful.

"If you like this place, we can stay here for a few more days," Ernest said with a smile.

Leah nodded. "Sure. I want to stay here for a few more days with you."

"Let's climb the mountain tomorrow," Ernest said.

"Okay." Leah agreed then thought for a moment, "We can have an outdoor barbecue. Oh, we can also tie a hammock to the trees there and relax there, basking in the warm sunlight of the winter. How wonderful."

She went to the bed, sat down then laid back on the bed and spread her limbs.

"Wow, the bed is so comfortable!" Leah exclaimed.

"Is it?" Ernest could not help but laugh at her antics.

Leah nodded, then tilted her head to look at him. "This bed is more comfortable than yours. This is a true paradise."

Ernest thought that she was really cute. It was just a bed. Was there a need for her to describe it in such an abnormal way?

"Do you like soft beds?" Ernest sat down on the bed and smiled down at her.

Leah nodded. "Of course."

"Then should I buy a new bed for your apartment?" Ernest asked with a smile.

"No, thanks." Leah immediately shook her head when she heard that. "The apartment I am staying in is not mine. I will have to move the bed after I move out. It's too troublesome."

When Ernest heard that, he was speechless. "Why must you move out? You still have to live there for at least a year. You deserve a big and comfy bed, the enjoyment you will feel is different. When it is much more comfortable, you will also sleep better, right?"

Leah blinked.

Comfortable?

Happiness?

He had a point.

"Since you don't know what to say, how about you agree to let me buy you a new bed?" Ernest asked with a smile.

Leah shook her head. "No, forget it. I still like my bed a lot."

After all, they had their first time on that bed. That bed carried a lot of memories. How ruthless would she be if she were to change it just like that?

"You really don't want to change it?" Ernest asked, still smiling.

"That's right, I won't." Leah shook her head firmly. "You should use your time for more important things, there is no need to waste your time on such small matters."

Ernest's lips twitched in amusement, "That makes sense."

Suddenly, Leah's phone rang. She immediately got up to answer the phone.

When she saw that Rowane was calling, she told Ernest, "It's my sister. I don't know what it is about. The Wells family called yesterday to make a fuss and now Rowane is calling me. I am afraid that the Wells family is making things difficult for her."

"If they are going to create trouble for her, she should be valuable enough for that first," Ernest said rudely.

However, Leah understood what Ernest meant by that.

A trace of uncomfortable feeling squeezed Leah's heart. She told herself that Ernest was right. The Wells family was actually targeting the Jones family. They wanted the Jones family to let Hogan go. Rowane was in rough waters. She would've found it difficult to protect herself. The only reason she would call was to force The Jones family.

Leah held the phone in her hands and hesitated for a long time before she answered the call.

"Rowane?"

Rowane's voice immediately came through the phone, "Leah, Mr. Wells came to me today. He said that Mrs. Wells troubled you and Ernest so she was taken away by the police." When Leah heard that, she was stunned too. However, when she heard Rowane's tone, her heart sank.

"Rowane, do you know about this matter too?"

Leah asked in a calm and indifferent tone.

"Yes, I do." Rowane did not hear the disappointment in Leah's voice. She continued to say, "Mr. Wells came to me. He... he hoped that I could ask you for mercy."

"What's with your attitude?" Leah asked directly.

Rowane froze, she immediately understood that she could not do things that way.

She became embarrassed. After thinking for a while, she said, "Sister, I don't mean anything else. I am not asking for mercy. I didn't waver. Sister, don't be disappointed with me."

Rowane anxiously wanted to explain to her, but Leah did not have much patience left. She just smiled and said, "Rowane, to be honest, you are begging the wrong person. You were the one who wanted Hogan to go to jail. Now, this matter is out of our hands. We are not the ones calling the shots, the police are. Do you think the law is something for you to do as you please?"

"No, sister." Rowane immediately denied it. "I didn't mean anything else with this phone call."

"I do hope you don't mean anything else," Leah said, "Because if you do, you are hopeless."

"Sister, I was wrong." Rowane suddenly cried. "I admit that I was shaken for a moment because Mr. Wells knelt down to me."

Leah was stupefied. She then pursed her lips and said coldly, "So if Hogan kneels down before you, are you going to be softhearted?"

Leah's words hit the nail on Rowane's heart.
