True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1957 The Four Children Of The Jones Family, Gary Smith (Part 732)
"It's your fault for bringing me here. See, Ernest is looking for us already." Celeste was feeling extremely embarrassed.
They came here to stargaze together, yet the two of them were nowhere to be found mid- way through.
She felt like they had been found out and caught red-handed.
Gary smirked and said, "It's nothing. Do you really think they behaved any better than us?"
Hearing his conviction, Celeste blushed even more. She pushed him away and inhaled deeply as if she was gathering her courage. "Let's go."
Gary once again laughed. "Before that, I should still answer the call first. Otherwise, they'd only worry more."
That was true.
Celeste blushed even more at his words.
She could only say, "Answer it then."
The phone was still ringing. It seemed that Ernest was a little anxious because no one was answering the phone.
Gary immediately picked up the phone and heard Ernest's anxious voice saying, "Gary, where are you and Celeste? Why didn't you answer us? Are you alright?" "We're fine," Gary immediately replied.
"Glad to hear that. You had me worried for a while," Ernest said.
After all, it was late at night. If something terrible happened, it would be very difficult to look for them in the darkness.
However, Gary continued to tease him, "Celeste and I didn't want to disturb you two, that's why we walked away. We'll head back up to the deck now."
Ernest could tell that Gary made full use of the opportunity and still chose to tease him.
After making sure that they were fine, Ernest was relieved. He laughed. "Gary, it sounds more like Leah and I disturbed you two instead. Wasn't that the reason why you chose to go somewhere we can't replace you?"
Gary immediately cleared his throat.
Celeste also heard what Ernest said and was overwhelmed with shyness.
Why were the brothers teasing each other about that?
Gary was the one who started it.
Celeste pinched him.
Gary immediately sucked in a breath of cold air.
Ernest heard it and smiled. "Did I call you at the wrong timing?"
Gary was startled at the question.
Celeste was dumbfounded too.
Gary reacted quickly and denied it, "Of course not. How will I have the time to answer your call if I'm doing something?"
Ernest smiled but didn't answer. Obviously, he didn't believe it.
Gary stopped joking and said, "Just wait there. Celeste and I will join you soon."
"You don't have to rush. Leah and I have nothing but patience. Take your time," Ernest said generously.
Gary stopped smiling and said, "Thank you for your patience, but Celeste and I don't need it. We'll see you in five minutes." After that, he ended the call.
Celeste looked at him dejectedly. "How can I walk there in five minutes?"
"I'll help you over," Gary said, "Or I can carry you there."
"Even so, five minutes won't be enough," Celeste mumbled.
She was too sore to move any faster than a snail's pace.
"Let's go." Gary grabbed her arm and supported her. Leah and Ernest were still on the top of the mountain.
They have been waiting there for a long time.
According to their plan, they should be leaving the mountain in half an hour, yet Gary and Celeste were nowhere to be found.
They shouted their names a couple of times and there wasn't any response at all. They were worried.
Fortunately, they got through to Gary. They were relieved after the phone call.
Leah asked, "What do you think they were up to while they were away?"
"Do you even have to ask?" Ernest chuckled as he answered, "Definitely something inappropriate."
"That's true." Leah pouted. "He was teasing you yet he must have done the same thing with Celeste too."
"He has always been like this." Ernest laughed. "But you're right, he must have teased me because he knew we were doing the same thing too."
"I'll take revenge for you later," Leah said heatedly.
"Forget it." Ernest laughed. "You'll only feel embarrassed for talking about this."
"I thought he really wanted to encourage Celeste to work out more. Now that I think about it, this trip is just a chance for him to satisfy his own needs," Leah said in an annoyed voice. Ernest laughed. "Why are you so frustrated about this? You can complain all you want in front of me, but don't do that with him."
He didn't want Gary to attack Leah with harsh remarks.
He didn't want to see the woman he loved hurt by his own brother.
"Alright." Leah hugged his arm. "Just help me down first. I want to see if I can walk now."
She had been sitting for a while and was worried that her legs would go numb if she sat any longer.
Ernest picked her up.
Leah moved her feet a little and felt better.
After resting for nearly an hour, she felt much better.
They stomped their feet and walked around to make themselves warm.
They moved to avoid feeling cold.
It was late at night.
The air was getting chillier. Leah yawned, feeling sleepy already.
"Are you sleepy?" Ernest asked.
Leah nodded. "I am. Why aren't they here yet?"
"They're here." Ernest glanced below the deck. He could see a light shining from a distance, slowly approaching them.
"It has been five minutes, right?" Leah glanced at her phone. Six minutes had passed.
She pouted. "He said five minutes, but it's almost seven minutes already. I think they'd at least take another ten minutes to arrive."
"It's good enough for them to arrive within fifteen minutes." Ernest chuckled.
Leah also burst into laughter. "I guess it's because of Celeste, it's obvious what they did just now."
Leah chuckled adorably after saying that.
Ernest reached out and rubbed her head. Noticing that she was no longer concerned about getting pregnant, he was much more relieved.
Otherwise, he would be worried to death about her.
"What about you? Are you finally gaining back your strength?" Ernest laughed.
"I'm pretty tired too." Leah immediately gave in. "But, at least, I'm slightly better than Celeste."
Ernest laughed again. "Yes, your stamina is much better than hers. I bet they'd be embarrassed later."
"Of course. You have to cover for me and make sure I don't show them any evidence of what we did." Leah tugged his arm. "Also, take care of me when we walk down the mountain."
"Of course." He laughed. "I guess Gary will ask the driver to come over."
Leah was surprised. "Really?"
"Most probably," said Ernest.
"Do you want to make a bet?" Leah immediately became excited.
If the driver came, they wouldn't have to walk down the mountain. Just the thought of it was torturous.
"Sure, what are you betting on?" asked Ernest with a smile.
Leah thought for a moment and asked, "I don't know. Why don't you decide?"
"You can owe me first," said Ernest, "I'll bring it up once I can think of something." "What if you lose?" Leah was not convinced.
Ernest raised his eyebrows. "Then I'll owe you."
"It's a deal." Leah laughed excitedly.
Sure enough, it turned out that Ernest was right.
After walking up to them, it was obvious that Celeste could not walk any further. They spent the whole twenty minutes getting their way up to the deck.
Gary immediately called the driver to pick them up.
The driver drove fast and arrived in ten minutes.
They got into the car on were soon on their way back to the villa.
After reaching the villa, their conditions were exposed under the bright lighting.
Their clothes were wrinkled and dirty.
