True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)
Chapter 1959 The Four Children Of The Jones Family, Gary Smith (Part 734)

Gary didn't let the butler in. He took the trays himself.

Gary glanced at the room next door and asked, "Did you send these to Ernest and Leah as well?"

The butler replied, "Master Ernest has not asked for the soup yet, but we've already prepared their portion."

Gary gazed deeply towards their door, wondering what they were up to all this while without asking for the soup.

He then smiled at the butler. "You should deliver theirs now."

The butler was taken aback. "Wouldn't I be disturbing Master Ernest when he didn't ask for me?"

"Why would you be disturbing him? We've been on the mountain for so long, we need to keep ourselves warm. The soup is the best thing we could ask for. Just do it." Gary then closed his door. The butler was still hesitating.

He gave the chef a look before walking away.

Meanwhile, when Ernest and Leah got back to their room, they met each other's eyes before bursting into laughter.

Ernest smiled and asked, "What are you laughing at?"

"Me? What are you laughing at?" Leah asked in return.

They laughed again without explaining. It was as if they already understood why.

Leah then said to Ernest, "You explain first."

Ernest cleared his throat and said, "I just replace it funny that Gary was in a worse state than us, yet he wanted to tease us."

"I know." Leah couldn't hold back her laughter. "I replace it hilarious too."

Hearing her cheerful and bright laughter, Ernest couldn't stop smiling either.

Leah then stared at him in a daze. His smile was growing wider. The young man who was quiet and elegant was becoming more vivid and bright recently. She got a little emotional.

He belonged to her; this man who was outstanding in almost every aspect, from his appearance and knowledge to his skills.

Leah was touched and called out, "Ernest."

Ernest was startled. The next second, there was something shining in his eyes.

Leah stepped forward, took his arm and said, "Let's go take a shower."

Ernest was stunned again. His smile froze as he fixed his gaze on Leah. She was gorgeous, especially with how much she was blushing.

Ernest narrowed his eyes and with a swift move, carried Leah to the bathroom.

Amidst the sound of running water, Leah could no longer restrain herself.

Ernest held her in his embrace as the water washed down on them.

Their eyes were full of joy as they stayed together like that.

After a long time, they were finally done with the shower.

While they were still in the shower and the water was still flowing, there was a knock at the door.

Ernest frowned and whispered in Leah's ear, "I wonder who is it that's killing our vibe."

Leah was so exhausted that she mumbled, "Maybe it's the warm soup. It's a little cold. Let's just help ourselves to it."

"I'll take you out." He put the bathrobe on for her.

'TH stay here. You should answer the door." Leah pushed him gently. "I want to get dressed first just in case it's your brother."

"You're smart." Ernest kissed her on the forehead before walking out.

After opening the door, he was startled to see that the butler and chef were waiting outside with the warm soup. He quirked a brow without saying anything.

The butler immediately smiled. He could tell that Ernest was not happy with their presence. "Master Ernest, Master Gary asked for us to send the warm soup to his room, he requested for us to send the soup to your room as well."

Hearing the butler's explanation, Ernest finally understood that it was all Gary's doing.

Ernest could also figure out what Gary was thinking. He glanced at the butler. "Sure, come in then."

Ernest let them in.

The butler went into the guest room. Upon noticing that Leah wasn't in the bedroom and seeing that Ernest was in his bathrobe, the butler realized that they were in the middle of showering together.

The butler quickly put away the food and went out with the cook. He said to Ernest before leaving,

"We'll leave now, Master Ernest. Please carry on."

Hearing this, Ernest frowned. He felt that the butler's words were strange.

He chuckled.

Then he slammed the door shut.

The butler was shocked to hear the loud slam.

In the end, the butler didn't dare say anything else and quickly went downstairs.

Ernest locked the door and then headed to the bathroom. Leah was drying her hair.

He immediately stepped forward and hugged her. "Dry your hair first then get dressed before we have the soup."

"How considerate of the butler to actually bring our soup to us. I didn't feel like going downstairs at all," Leah said as she went to get the soup.

Ernest immediately took a snack and stuffed it into her mouth instead before he helped her dry her hair.

After her hair was dried, he tied it up into a ponytail.

Leah laughed and turned around. "You should dry your hair too."

"You go get dressed first and don't worry about me," Ernest said.

"No way I'm allowing that. You dry your hair and I'll help you once I get dressed." Leah put her snack away and quickly changed into a thick sweater dress. They moved harmoniously together.

After drying their hair, they helped themselves to the soup and snacks. They felt warmer instantly.

Perhaps they were too full, neither of them was sleepy. Leah gazed lazily at Ernest, "I'm so full. I can't even sleep although I know I'm sleepy." "Should we do it again?" Ernest asked.

"No." Leah immediately shook her head. "I can't. Let's just lie here for a while."

Ernest smiled and said, "I'll send the bowls down or else it'd smell in the room."

"Alright, I'll help you."

"No." Ernest tucked her in. "I'll be right back."

"Okay," Leah replied.

Ernest opened the door. At the same time, the door to the room next to them was also opened.

Celeste was the one who opened the door. She was holding a tray too and was startled to see Ernest.

Ernest asked, "Did Gary just send you out to bring the plates down?"

Noticing that Ernest was doing the same thing, Celeste smiled. "He's on the phone. It's an international phone call."

Ernest nodded.

They headed downstairs and put away the plates in the kitchen. Ernest let Celeste walk up the stairs first before him.

Celeste turned around and smiled at him. "Good night," said Celeste before walking up the stairs.

Ernest took a while before heading back upstairs. As he reached the room, he saw Leah pouting at him.

He raised his eyebrows and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I just pity Celeste having to send those plates down by herself. I feel like I'm so much luckier than her," Leah said as she chuckled again.

Ernest smiled helplessly. "Did you hear us?"

Leah nodded.

Ernest sat down beside her and they laid down on the bed together. Ernest then said, "He was on the phone."

"Don't you think that was just Celeste's excuse to not make your brother look like the bad person?" Leah glanced at him. "Gary is too smart to let his exhausted girlfriend take the plates downstairs unless he's really terrible."
