15 minutes later.

Soon, Lester and his lawyer finally understood the ins and outs of the matter.

Lowell confessed to deliberately crashing into the car, not denying it at all.

His confession shocked Lester and the lawyer. They actually wanted to tackle the case from a different angle, so as to give Lowell more opportunities. Lowell might even be able to leave unscathed.

However, Lowell admitted to his crimes immediately, which shocked everyone. He was basically giving up on himself. Gary was shocked by Lowell's attitude.

Under Lester and his lawyer's negotiations, Gary was able to meet Lowell. They sat facing each other across the table.

Lowell smiled and said, "Don't be so gloomy. This has nothing to do with you. I started everything and it was all my fault."

"How are you the one who started all of these? Yes, you were the one who introduced her to me, but I did not protect myself well enough either. I should f*cking get a retribution of my own, why did you do this?" Gary gritted his teeth and growled at him, "Do you know what you are getting yourself into? There are thousands upon thousands of ways for us to deal with her, why did you have to do this?"

"That's because this is a type of massacre on its own too. Even if I have to be in prison, it is the price I have to pay. Even if I really went to prison, I will still feel at ease."

"Bullsh*t!" Gary could not help but to curse. He couldn't understand Lowell's thoughts. "Are you telling me that this makes you seem noble? Why do you have to help me deal with my matters? Lowell, why are you doing this?"

"So, you don't have to blame yourself. You should not burden yourself with this matter. These are my own actions, and it has nothing to do with you." Lowell smiled, as if he had already thought about it, and that he could pay any price for it too.

Even so, Gary still felt greatly uncomfortable. He did not want Lowell to do something like that for him.

D*mn it, all of that happened because of that unscrupulous woman, Janice.

He felt really angry.

Gary swore that he would replace a way to make Janice pay.

"This is my business, you should not have done anything," Gary said in a low voice, "Forget it, I don't know how to explain it to you."

"Gary." Lowell smiled bitterly. "Even if I have to go to jail, it has nothing to do with you. I am telling you the truth, this is my choice, and you know that I hate scheming women the most."

Gary was startled. All at once, he thought of his grandmother.

Lowell looked at him with a wry smile. "You know why I did what I did. Go back and be well with Celeste."

Gary was startled. He smiled bitterly too.

He felt his heart ached as he shook his head. "I am afraid that I won't be able to be with Celeste again for the rest of my life."

Lowell was shocked.

Gary held on to the forced smile on his face. "Celeste will know about it sooner or later. This is such a huge matter. Besides, with my understanding of her, I am sure that she won't want to be in a relationship with me anymore. Rather than doing this, I think it will be better for me to tell her everything myself."

As Gary said that, he smiled. His smile was so bleak and helpless.

Lowell apologized at once, "I am sorry, this is all my fault. I just couldn't believe that Janice was pregnant with your child. That was why I needed you here, to get the necessary evidence. If I knew that the child was really yours, I could have solved this problem in advance, instead of letting you be in so much pain and difficulty."

"Lowell, how noble of you," Gary roared. He had no choice, he felt a little sad too when he was facing Lowell. "You helped me solve my problem, but at the expense of putting yourself in jail. Do you want to make me feel uneasy for the rest of my life?"

"No, Gary, I just think that you deserve happiness," Lowell said sincerely, "At least between the two of us, you can be happy, and so can Celeste. I have my own reasons for doing what I did. I think it's meaningful."

"If you really want me to be happy, then think about how you are going to explain this to the police, and sit down to cooperate with the lawyer nicely." Gary looked at him seriously. "Mr. Lester and I will try to think of a way to solve this problem for you, but you must cooperate first, do you understand?"

"I won't cooperate." Lowell shook his head, he smiled, but his face was pale, "Perhaps being imprisoned for a few years is the best way to go for me. I also won't have to feel bad for having done this anymore." "What did you do? You should have thought clearly when you did this. No matter what you are doing, you will remember it for the rest of your life," Gary said in a deep voice, "Also, if you went to jail, what do you think will happen to my parents? Did they raise you for you to go to jail?"

When Heinz and Grace were mentioned, a trace of struggle could be seen in Lowell's eyes.

Gary knew that his words had shot through Lowell's heart.

After that, he continued to attack vigorously, "So, no matter what, you have to cooperate with our lawyer. This is the only way we can minimize the damage."

Lowell pursed his lips, he nodded. "Okay."

When Gary came out of the room, he told Lester and the lawyer, "You two can go in now. He will cooperate with you."

Lester nodded, he told the lawyer, "Go in. He mustn't goto jail."

"I got it." The lawyer quickly entered to discuss the matter with Lowell.

Lester was greatly worried when he saw Gary like that. "How are you? Can we tell the president about this matter?"

"Don't tell them about this for the time being. Mom's belly is getting bigger and bigger. If she replaces out that something like this happened to Lowell and I, it would definitely cause a huge commotion." Gary was worried about implicating his mother and his unborn siblings.

Lester sighed. "All right, then I won't tell them about it for now."

"Mr. Lester, no matter what, do not let them know anything about this matter. I will handle it personally."

"Okay." Lester felt that Gary had grown up, and he knew how to be considerate towards his parents. Even though Gary was quite an untamed kid, he was still sensible.

He quickly agreed to Gary's request.

Soon, Gary contacted Janice.

When she received the phone call, Janice was shocked.

That was because Janice already learned from the police that the matter had nothing to do with Gary. Instead, Lowell was the one who crashed into her car.

She felt greatly shocked and puzzled.

Lowell was such an elegant and gentle man. How could he do such a violent thing? What he did was murder.

She could not believe it at all.

She had lost her child as she lay in the hospital bed. It wasn't just her stomach which was in pain then, but her whole body was in great pain too. However, what hurt even more was her heart. However, when she saw that the phone call was from Gary, she still pulled herself together.

Gary went straight to the point, "Janice, tell me. How only would you let Lowell go?"

Janice was stunned. "Are... are you telling me to state my terms, and that you will satisfy me no matter what they are?"

"Yes," Gary replied indifferently.

Janice was overjoyed in an instant. "Are you really telling me the truth?"

"Yes, I only hope that Lowell won't go to jail, and that he will be freed immediately," Gary said.

Janice suddenly cheered up, she said, "Okay, then break up with Celeste. Break up with her and be my boyfriend. I will change my statements and let him go immediately."

"How about you change your statements first, and only after that will I break up with Celeste," Gary spoke in a deep voice.

Janice was stunned. She was a little unsatisfied. "How would I know if you would keep your words?" "I could choose to ignore you, but Lowell is my closest family member, and you schemed against me. Now, it is impossible for me to being with Celeste," Gary spoke in a calm voice, "You'd best replace ways to make me happy, as it will be much better than angering me."

Janice was taken aback at once. She thought for a while, and agreed that Gary's suggestion indeed made sense.

She agreed immediately without further hesitation.

"Okay, I will tell the police that I accidentally fell down the stairs on my own," Janice said.

Gary smiled coldly. "Good."

"If I say that, will you come to the hospital to accompany me immediately?"

"Sure." Gary agreed.

Janice felt extremely happy, and she soon gave the police her amended statements.

She said that she was frightened, which was why she concluded that someone hurt her. The only reason why Lowell admitted to crashing into her was because he loves her.

It was like a joke, and Lowell was actually released.

Gary abided by his promise and went to look for Janice.

In the hospital.

Gary sat in the car, he took out his phone, and he was about to call Celeste.

When the call was connected, he could not utter a word.

A break up seemed too difficult.

However, if they did not break up, he would feel filthy.
