True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1988
"Wow, Celeste, I thought you were a lady, who knew that you are such a shrew." Janice did not hold back any longer, she shouted at Celeste.
Her voice was so loud that Celeste felt an impact on her eardrums.
She tilted her phone to one side, stood up, and walked out.
She told herself that there was no need for her to be angry anymore as things had already developed what it was then.
There were some situations where it seemed like perhaps Gary was not the one who took the initiative. Even though he had made some mistakes that could not be forgiven, Gary was not the one who took the initiative.
At least, from how anxious Janice was, she could tell that something fishy was going on.
If so, she did not have to worry about anything. She should wait patiently for Gary to personally explain it to her.
That was probably the philosophy Celeste had recently come to learn.
"Miss Simpson, things are not always like how they seem. I don't have anything to say to you. Also, please do not call me in the future anymore," Celeste said faintly, "I won't do things your way."
"Fine." Janice gritted her teeth as she said that, "Celeste, you are indeed an opponent that I can't underestimate. I admit that I have underestimated you before. However, Gary is my boyfriend now, and you are the mistress."
When she heard the word 'mistress', Celeste's lips twitched and she had a mocking smile on her face. "Miss Simpson, you seem to have made a mistake. You are the mistress. You are the mistress between Gary and I. Furthermore, you are also a mistress with bad intentions."
"Celeste, whether I am a mistress or not is not up to you to decide. That is up to Gary." Janice did not care about what Celeste had to say at all, she only kept her side of the story. "He has already agreed to be my boyfriend."
"I will say it again. Since he has promised you, then look for him. Why are you telling me this?" Celeste surely ignored Janice too.
Her eyes dimmed, and her gaze got really cold.
She walked out of the villa and took a walk to the back of it. She paced along the backyard of the picturesque courtyard.
The air quality in the mountains was great and the scenery was beautiful too. Even in winter, it still made people feel relaxed and happy.
As expected, after she came out of the villa for some cold air, she felt much cooler, and her annoyed heart calmed down too.
"I want to replace you, I want to disgust you, and I love making trouble for you." Janice disliked Celeste, and she started to make a scene.
Celeste only smiled faintly. "What a joke. Miss Simpson, oh, there is another thing I want to remind you about. If you really are pregnant, then take good care of your child, it is not good for a pregnant woman to get angry."
When Celeste mentioned the child, Janice immediately fixed her eyes on her empty stomach, a flash of regret could be seen in her eyes.
At the thought of her child, she felt a sense of discomfort.
Her child was gone, and Gary did not feel an ounce of sadness.
She had lost all of her bargaining power.
She could only wait. At first, she thought that Celeste was an easy target to bully, and that she could make Celeste take the initiative to ask to leave. However, she did not expect Celeste to be such a difficult person to deal with.
Only at that point in time did Janice realize that her plans were not made well enough.
She unconsciously fell into an awkward situation. She had powerful bargaining power, but it was all messed up by herself.
As she thought of it then, she felt distressed.
She could only vent her feelings out on Celeste.
The more unreasonable Janice's words were, the more it exposed her defeat. Celeste said lightly, "I am afraid that you are not disgusting me with your actions. Instead, you are just disgusting yourself." Janice was so angry that her chest was heaving up and down anxiously, and she felt even more depressed. She shouted at Celeste angrily, "Celeste, what are you trying to say?"
"Nothing, I only want to remind you that it is better to take good care of your child, and build some good karma for it. Sometimes, you really can't do too much, or it will backfire." After saying that, Celeste was ready to hang up the phone.
Those were truly words from the bottom of her heart.
She had lost her child before, and she was also a woman. Naturally, she hoped that other women would cherish their child too. One really shouldn't be angry when they were pregnant.
However, Janice shouted loudly, "Celeste, do you know about it? Are you mocking me? Or are you cursing for me to have a miscarriage?"
Celeste was speechless, so she decided to ignore Janice.
She just hung up the call, then she blocked Janice's number.
She continued to walk around in the backyard. Before she left, she saw Gary coming downstairs with a coat in his hand.
His tall body was walking fast, and he came to her in just a few steps, a trace of self-blame could be seen on his face.
"What's going on?" He asked in a low voice. "You came out without wearing a coat. Are you trying to catch a cold?"
Celeste was stunned as she did feel a little cold. She raised her head and smiled at him, she said, "It's a little cold. Weren't you having your rest? I just came out for a walk. I am planning to go back now."
Gary stiffened, and he immediately said, "At first wanted to rest, but I was worried about you. I ran down the stairs to take a look, only to discover that you weren't in the hall. When I came out, I saw that you were already in the backyard without ajacket, so I immediately went back to get you some clothes."
"Then, let's go up together." She looked at him and smiled.
Gary looked at Celeste with a complicated expression on his face.
He thought that she had changed just after that phone call.
Sure enough, the next moment, Celeste took the initiative to hold onto Gary's arm intimately.
Gary's body stiffened. His back
stretched straight as well. He subconsciously looked at Celeste, and realized that she was elegant and she was in a state of peace and calmness. He did not know what just happened.
"Do you want to go upstairs together?" He asked her.
"Sure." Celeste nodded. "Let's head upstairs."
Gary was also stunned. He smiled and brought Celeste upstairs.
When they arrived at the guest room on the second floor, Celeste pressed Gary against the door right after they entered their room.
Gary once again stiffened because of her sudden actions. He stared blankly at her and was completely clueless of what happened. Why was she suddenly so enthusiastic?
Celeste pressed Gary against the door. She was in
Gary's embrace and could clearly feel his body trembling.
She looked into his eyes tenderly, not avoiding him at all.
Gary was stunned, he could not help blurting out, "Celeste."
She looked at him and suddenly tiptoed. She moved forwards and blocked his lips with hers, stopping him from talking.
That was a long, lingering and delicate kiss. It was not a wild and fierce one, but it was enough to make one's heart tremble, as if it would suddenly pull them into an abyss without any warning. Gary could not stand such a flirtation.
At almost that same moment, he felt as if he was going to collapse.
It was really too much for him.
He hugged her tightly. Their breaths intertwined with each other's, and it was hard to tell who's breath was causing the temperate in the room to rise.
