Upon hearing that, Gary's face turned cold, he immediately looked towards Celeste. He did not put the call on loudspeaker, and he had set the phone to a low volume. He figured Celeste might not have heard what the person was talking about.

Celeste looked at him too, as if she could not understand why Gary was looking at her. However, it seemed like the phone call had something to do with her.

She subconsciously got alert, but she did not show it.

Gary was expressionless while he glanced at Celeste faintly and replied to the phone, "Thank you for informing me. I will."

"Celeste hasn't shown any signs of abnormality in front of you, has she?" The person on the other side asked.

"No," Gary replied.

"A woman's thoughts are as difficult to grasp as a needle in the ocean." "I think so too." Gary had not expected Celeste to not mention or show any signs of anything even after receiving Janice's phone call. What did the two of them talk about?

"Their call lasted for seven minutes and forty seconds." The person went on, "It was a phone call from the United States, and she even sent her a message. I will forward it to you later."

"Thanks a lot." Gary thanked him.

After that, the call ended.

Gary noticed that Celeste was staring at him. Even though the lights were very faint, her eyes were exceptionally bright.

Celeste looked at Gary and ask, "Did something happen?"

"No." Gary did not say anything. Instead, he only looked at Celeste and asked as he pondered, "Why do you keep asking me if something happened? Has anything happened to you?" Celeste shook her head, and she said, "No, it just looks like you have a lot on your mind."

Gary suddenly thought that it was a little strange then. Celeste had been talking to him a lot that day, and it had sounded like there were other meanings behind her words. Did it have anything to do with Janice's call?

All of a sudden, he seemed to have come to a realization.

At first, Celeste seemed to be avoiding him, and she even feared to look at him at times. Soon, she slowly started to take the initiative, and it should have been because of the phone call from Janice. Suddenly, he felt that he did not quite understand Celeste.

Gary thought about it. Logically, if Celeste received a phone call from Janice, she shouldn't be showing such good attitude towards him. However, her attitude towards him was simply too good to be true then. She treated him so well that it made him feel guilty and suspicious.

He really did not know what the two women talked about on the phone.

However, how did Janice get Celeste's phone number?

Celeste had changed her phone number. It was impossible for Janice to know about it.

Since Janice could call Celeste, then it meant that something must have happened.

Gary's expressions gradually changed as he looked at Celeste. He reached out and held her hand. He said, "It is getting a little cold out here. Let's go inside first."

As he spoke, he held her hands and slowly led her back into the villa.

The moment they entered the door, they saw Ernest and Leah downstairs.

The four of them greeted each other.

Gary spoke, "Celeste, you should stay here and chat with Ernest and Leah first. I need to go upstairs to make a phone call."

"Okay." Celeste nodded.

Gary told Leah, "Leah, could you please pour Celeste a cup of hot tea? She's feeling a little cold."

"Okay, Gary." Leah immediately poured some tea for Celeste.

Gary went upstairs without any explanation. He strode up the stairs three steps at a time with his long legs and got up in just a few steps. From the looks of it, he seemed to be a little hasty. Ernest and Leah were both stunned, and they asked Celeste, "Why is Gary in such a hurry to make a phone call?"

"I don't know. I heard him on the phone too just now, but I don't know what happened. Perhaps he is a little busy." Celeste shrugged. She took over the hot tea and took a sip of it.

Gary returned to his room, he closed the door, hid in the bathroom, and was ready to call Janice. He wanted to ask that d*mned woman what she actually told Celeste.

The moment the call was connected, he immediately ended it.

He suddenly realized that if he called Janice so hastily, he might only be alerting her unnecessarily.

So, after a little while, he called back.

Not long after, the call was connected.

"Gary, why are you calling me again?" A cheerful sound could be heard from the other side of the phone.

"It wasn't convenient for me to talk to you just now, but I just want to know, is there only one call record between the two of them? Did Janice and Celeste have any other phone call before this?"

"That was the only thing displayed on Janice's phone," The other party said, "Why? Are you suspecting something? Or have you discovered something?"

"It's just that I found something very

suspicious, but I am not too sure about it, that is why I need to ask you about it," Gary said, "If there is only one phone call, how did Janice get Celeste's phone number?"

"Is it hard to get someone's phone number?"

"Mr. Andrews, it is a simple thing for you and me, but it should not be that easy for Janice."

"Well then, you can ask Lowell about that," he said.

Gary was startled once more. Lowell?

Could it be that Lowell gave Janice Celeste's phone number?

When he thought of that possibility, he could not help but to clench his fists.

Lowell must stop causing trouble.

He pursed his lips and said, "Do you see anything that shows that it might have something to do with Lowell?"

"There aren't any clear indications of that. However, Janice has been talking to Lowell on the phone a lot more frequently." "Okay, I understand." Gary nodded.

He thought that he would have to wait for Lowell to return so that he could personally ask him about it.

Lowell must have just boarded the plane, and he was probably on his way home.

Gary ended the call and called Lowell. However, Lowell's phone was turned off.

He could be certain that Lowell was on the plane then.

He walked out of the bathroom. He was not in a hurry to go downstairs. Instead, he turned on his computer and surfed the web.

He had been busy upstairs for quite a while. When he came down, his expression did not look good.

However, when he got downstairs,

everyone was already there. Everyone was waiting for him to

start eating. When they saw himet

coming downstairs, they

immediately informed the butler to serve the meal.

"Gary, you have been very busy." Maria continued to tease Gary.

Gary acknowledged her faintly and said, "Yeah, sorry for keeping all of you waiting."

"What were you busy with?" Liam

also asked, "must have been hard.

Celeste said that you've started a business in the United States, which must have been difficult. You don't look well. Take good care of yourself. Don't tire yourself too

much."

OV

"Thanks." Gary smiled. "I'm still all right. These are just small matters."

For him, that might actually be a small matter. What was really keeping him occupied was how Janice was scheming him.

He needed to take every step carefully. Otherwise, he might be schemed by Janice once more.

Gary glanced at Celeste, who was also looking back at him in a daze. A lot of emotions could be seen flashing across her eyes.

Gary stared at her gently. He sat down beside her and reached out to grab her hand. It was only at that moment that he realized just how sweaty Celeste's palms were.
