Gary walked up to meet her at the door of the dessert shop.

Meanwhile, Celeste had just stepped out of the door. She froze in her tracks when she spotted Gary.

They exchanged gazes. Celeste was standing at the top of the stairs, while Gary stood at the bottom. Under the shining sun, the both of them looked like the perfect couple, inviting the gazes of the public.

A myriad of conflicting emotions filled Celeste's chest.

Gary had a complicated look in his eyes as he gazed at Celeste quietly.

"You can head back first. Florina and I are going to have a meal. After that, I'll make my own way home," Celeste spoke first.

Gary frowned in response. "Where are you guys eating? I can give you a lift."

Celeste pursed her lips and said, "There's no need for that. We're going shopping first before replaceing somewhere to sit and eat. We don't know when we'll be back."

Celeste thought that Florina would be in a bad mood after the talk, and this was the first time they had a heart to heart. Although it was only Florina talking, Celeste felt that she should continue keeping Florina company.

Furthermore, it was inappropriate for Gary to wait here for so long.

If he went with them, then it would be hard for both girls to talk freely!

However, it was obvious that Gary didn't want to leave, nor did he intend to leave.

"I can wait," Gary said.

Celeste gave him a serious look before she said, "You might have to wait for a rather long time. Why not go on some errands first? At least you won't be bored."

"I'm not bored at all. Go talk to her, I'll wait in the car," Gary replied.

Celeste was defeated, and she sighed internally in her heart. She could only nod in the face of Gary's stubborn nature.

"Alright, I'll head back in now." Celeste turned around and walked back into the dessert shop.

Gary watched Celeste walk inside, noting that she did not turn around to look at him. He chuckled bitterly to himself.

Before breaking up, Celeste was already starting to hate him. Even getting along with each other felt like a burden to them, didn't it?

На.

After all, this was what Gary deserved.

He turned back to the car and got inside.

He sat in the car and looked in the direction of the dessert house. Behind the glass window, Celeste had already sat down and was talking to Florina.

The girls looked out the window as they spoke.

There was no doubt that the two of them were talking about him.

Meanwhile, in the dessert shop.

Florina peeked outside and spotted Gary. Then, she said to Celeste, "Wow, he's really not leaving. I told you he wouldn't let you have a meal alone with me." Florina was once their classmate, so she understood what Gary was like.

Gary was such an overbearing man. How could he so easily let his girlfriend go?

Furthermore, he was very possessive. Thus, he might get jealous even over a girl.

Therefore, Florina had made a bet with Celeste earlier that Gary would not leave, and she was right.

Celeste smiled awkwardly and said, "I didn't expect him to disagree."

"That's why it's a better idea for us to have a meal together another day. I'm afraid he won't let you out again if we disobey him this time." Florina laughed.

"Nah, he won't. He'll be okay with it anytime I want to leave the house." Celeste was confident about this.

Florina smiled and said, "He's such a domineering man, and he wants to occupy all of your time. That means he loves you very much and wants to be with you all the time." Celeste only gave a small smile when she heard that.

Florina continued, "Hey, I'm only talking facts here. Actions speak louder than words, and the fact that he's willing to take the time out of his day to be with you is rare Appreciate it."

Celeste was taken aback by her statement. Perhaps she was indeed lucky to have found Gary.

She began doubting herself.

However, what was she to do when she was unable to get over it?

As soon as she thought about how Gary and Janice had slept together, she couldn't help but feel incredibly upset. It was like the sensation of a hundred knives piercing through her chest. Celeste looked up at the car outside and noticed Gary looking right back at her. His gaze was very focused, and it was clear that he was looking at her.

Celeste's heart skipped a beat. Why did she always feel this way around him?

Her emotions were made further complicated when she knew that Gary had no intention of leaving.

Florina laughed and said, "How about this - we'll call it a day, okay? I have a couple of errands to run. We'll meet up for a meal some other day."

Celeste was stunned. "Didn't we agree on going shopping? You're leaving already?"

"Yeah. Your husband looks like he's ready to kill me if I don't leave. Honestly, I really should go." Florina burst into laughter, and her lively, jovial appearance returned.

Celeste paused for a moment before she said, "It's fine, leave him be."

"Celeste, I have a few things to say to you. You're a very realistic girl, but sometimes you're a little too realistic. Gary is an arrogant man, so you need to consider his feelings. Even though you guys are a couple, you still have to take care of how he feels."

Celeste was rather surprised to hear that.

Florina chuckled. "Come, let's leave now. You should go out with him and have some fun."

Celeste shook her head. "There's no need. I talked it all over with him, and he's okay with it."

"Look how much he takes care of

you. If he doesn't love you, why would he be considerate of your feelings Florina' stone was one of admiration. "Don't be silly, go and be with your boyfriend. Thanks for listening to me."

Celeste knew that Florina intended on leaving, so she nodded and stood up. "Alright, we'll see each other next time then."

"Sure." When they went to pay the bill, the cashier told them otherwise.

"A gentleman has paid for your bill half an hour earlier. This is the change." The cashier handed them the change.

Celeste was shocked for a moment. When did he pay the bill?

She didn't even know about it.

Florina chuckled and said, "Gary is great. He paid the bill without even us knowing. Please thank him

for me."

Celeste saw Florina off with a conflicted feeling in her chest before she walked towards Gary's car.

Gary had already stepped out before she arrived, and he raised an eyebrow at her. "Aren't you going out with Florina? What happened?"
