True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 2079
Heinz's frowned as soon as he heard that.
Gary's expression turned cold and he looked at his father.
Heinz was annoyed but not surprised. He chuckled and said, "Seems like Janice is too far gone in her delusions to be saved."
"President, what should we do now?" The secretary asked with great concern.
"Didn't you have someone watching Janice? Couldn't you just detain her?" Gary asked.
He knew Janice would replace a way to kick up a fuss, but he didn't expect it to be so soon. She had just left the Jones Estate not long ago. It seemed that Janice had lost her patience.
"Master Gary, Janice returned only after the reporters appeared. Should we detain her now?" The secretary asked Gary and Heinz.
Heinz shook his head. "I'm sure she's been prepared to do this a long time ago. She wants to make it public that she's Gary's girlfriend and take this opportunity to make life tough for us. At the very least, she wants to make Gary's life hard."
That was clear for all to see. However, Gary sneered. "She can dream on. Why should I let her do as she pleases?"
"How many journalists are downstairs?" Heinz asked.
The secretary said, "More than 30, and there should be more coming."
"Are representatives from every Northern City media outlet here?" Heinz wondered.
"Yeah. If I'm not wrong, all the big media companies are present."
Gary narrowed his eyes. Janice seemed very determined about raising hell over this matter.
Gary snorted coldly. "I'm going downstairs."
"What's the rush?" Heinz looked at his son and said to his secretary, "You go see what's going on first. If they want the inside scoop, then invite them in. We'll hold a press conference." "What about Janice?" The secretary was very worried. "She has a head injury."
The secretary was rather worried. Janice was visibly wounded, it would spell disaster for Gary if she blabbered to the press.
A glint flashed in Heinz's eyes and he said, "Call Lowell and have him come to the office. Brief him about what happened." "Yes, President."
Gary smirked as he seemed to have caught on to what his father intended to do.
Since Janice was already here, then he was ready to play the game.
Gary called out after the secretary, "There's no need to detain Janice. I want to see what she's up to."
"Do you have an idea?" Heinz glanced at his son and seemed to notice that there was a flash of cunning in his son's eyes.
He felt that Gary might have a way of dealing with this.
Gary nodded. "Yep. Lend me your computer and your office, please. It's not too convenient here."
"Go ahead." Heinz got up and followed his son to his office.
However, Gary muttered to Heinz, "Give mom a call first and let her know not to be worried. You can leave the rest to me." "It's good that you still remember your mother. All these years she spent raising you haven't gone to waste," Heinz chuckled.
"Don't flatter me," Gary said. "If I don't make Janice suffer this time, then I'm not a Jones."
Heinz's lips twitched in slight annoyance. "I don't like it when you use our surname like it's a curse."
Gary entered the office and turned on the computer. Then he said, "That means I shouldn't have changed my surname."
"Forget it," Heinz said. "I told Lowell to come for a reason. If you don't agree, then you should tell me now instead of waiting."
"Both of our plans have to be done in unison to create the biggest effect," Gary replied.
"Do you know why I've asked Lowell to come?" Heinz asked.
Gary nodded. "If I'm not wrong, you want Lowell to be a scapegoat?"
Heinz smiled as he nodded. "Yep, I want Lowell to tell everyone that Janice is his girlfriend."
"This just makes our plans perfect for each other. Don't worry, I'll play along. One thing that worries me is whether or not Lowell will agree to our plan," Gary said.
"You can rest assured." Heinz smiled and said, "Lowell will definitely cooperate with you."
After all, Lowell was partially responsible for this.
If he didn't fancy Janice in the first place, all of this wouldn't have happened.
Gary's fingers ran across the keyboard expertly.
He quickly copied some information and asked
Heinz for an empty memory stick to store the materials in.
Meanwhile, Heinz called Grace.
Grace was rather concerned when she heard about the journalists gathering in the building. "Janice managed to gather so many journalists in such a short time. Not bad."

"That's right love. She doesn't have any good intentions, so don't fall for her tricks. Do you know what you're supposed to do?" Heinz prompted.
"Don't worry, I haven't forgotten that I'm pregnant. I'll be okay. I'm sure you and Gary have it under control. Lowell's already on his way." Grace reassured Heinz.
"Good. I'll have him come to the office," Heinz said.
"You two should pay attention to how Lowell is feeling. He seems pretty down in the dumps recently. I think he is feeling guilty over this."
"That's why I'm giving him a chance to make up for it so he won't feel so guilty anymore," Heinz replied.
"Well, I'm sure you have things to take care of. Don't worry about me. I'm safe at home for now. Since there are reporters at the office, then there must be some on the way to our house. I'll let the staff know."
"You're very intuitive, my love." Heinz was glad that his wife was alert.
Lowell arrived at the company building quite quickly.
He went straight into the president's office.
He spotted Heinz and Gary when he stepped inside.
Regret filled his gaze and he didn't even dare to look at Gary.
"Hi, Heinz." Lowell greeted his brother.
"Lowell." Heinz nodded. "You came just in time. Did you see the reporters downstairs?"
"Yes," Lowell said and nodded.
The lobby was chock full of reporters when he arrived, and extra security had been deployed to beef up control of the situation.
