Heinz Jones hung up the phone. Grace Smith asked, "It sounded like a child who was calling you just now. Who is it?"

Heinz was shocked. He was thinking about how to break the news about the child to Grace.

He said, "This kid.... he is very cute."

Upon hearing this, Grace's facial expression changed dramatically. She asked, "Heinz, is he your son?"

Heinz did not know what to say. He asked her back, "What will you do if I said yes?"

"I'll have to leave you. Stay far away from you. I will not fall in love with a married man." Grace said.

Heinz was stunned. He looked down and said, "You're over-thinking."

"Whose child is it then?" Grace asked.

"It's somebody else's," He said in a low voice.

Well, Ernest was not his biological son. Therefore, it was not wrong to say that he was somebody else's child.

However, his heart ached when he mentioned that Ernest was not his son.

He felt sorry for Ernest. He had taken care of the child for so many years. He may not be his biological son, but the boy meant the world to him.

All this while he had treated him like his own son.

Grace was in a daze after hearing what he said.

Both of them remained silent.

Grace felt a little strange and she had a bad feeling when she saw his gloomy face.

She wanted to say something. However, she couldn't spit out her words.

They had finally reached the Emerald Apartment. Grace said, "This is my place. I'll get down the car now."

Heinz came back to his senses and looked at Grace.

"Grace, when are you going to invite me to your house?" He asked.

Grace was tense for a moment. She remembered she hadn't told him about Little Gary yet. Therefore, she couldn't let him see Little Gary.

She hesitated for a moment and asked, "How about some other day?"

Heinz was a little disappointed, but he didn't force her. He said, "Okay."

He watched her as she got out of the car.

Grace stood beside the car and closed the door. He wound down the window.

Heinz was staring at Grace.

"Be careful on the road," Grace said.

Heinz was slightly startled. He nodded his head and drove the car away.

Grace gave Alice a phone call immediately.

"Alice, have you picked Little Gary up?" Grace asked.

"Yes, I've picked him up. He insisted on inviting his classmate to our house. I didn't reject him because this was the first time he was bringing a friend home. We're heading home now." Alice said.

"Is his friend called Ernest?" Grace asked.

"Yup."

"Okay. Please bring them back home first. I'm going out to buy some groceries."

"Okay. Please buy more. Little Gary said he wants Ernest to have a good meal." Alice said.

"I know. Don't worry." Grace said. Then, she hung up the phone and took a short walk to the market. They had the freshest produce there."

Alice brought Ernest and Little Gary back to the house. Ernest's driver and butler were following them in a car slowly as they walked back home.

Alice looked at them and said to Ernest, "Ernest, does your butler want to have dinner at our house?"

"No, I don't think so. He's just worried about me. He'll rest assured after knowing where the house is." Ernest shook his head and said.

"Are you sure?" Alice turned around and looked at the butler suspiciously.

"Of course. They are used to it." Ernest said calmly.

Alice was baffled. She felt this might be the rules of a noble family. It seemed that Ernest was well-educated as well. He always remained calm. He even had a dignified demeanor at such a young age. Moreover, he looked quite similar to Little Gary. She would think this was her lost nephew if it wasn't confirmed that her nephew was really gone.

Alice nodded her head and said, "Okay.1 after giving it a thought.

"Little Auntie, what time does mom come back?" Little Garry asked.

"She went out to get some things. She'll be back soon. Let's go back first." Alice said.

"Let's go."

"Okay."

Then, the trio continued to walk on. When they arrived at their building, the butler followed them upstairs to their unit.

After confirming the house number, Alice said to the butler, "You can come in if you're worried."

The butler smiled and said, "It's okay. Miss Smith, please don't mind me. I am in charge of the safety of the Young Master. I can't bear the responsibility if anything happens to the Young Master. I hope you understand."

"It's okay. I understand." Alice said with a smile.

"I'm not going to disturb you then. Please give me a phone call when the Young Master is ready to go back. I'll come right over to pick him up." The butler said.

"Okay. Don't worry. I will take good care of them." Alice assured him again.

"Alright then, thank you." The butler left.

Alice breathed a sigh of relief and said to Ernest, "Ernest, aren't you tired having to live your life like that?" "Auntie Alice, I am used to it." "Yea, I can tell. Well, please go to Little Gary's room with him." Alice said as she went into the kitchen to cook the rice.

"Ernest, follow me." Little Gary said and took him into his room.

Grace came home with about four to five bags of groceries in her hand. They were so heavy. She had bought a lot of food because this was the first time Little Gary had a friend over.

Therefore, she bought extra vegetables and fruits.

Seeing Grace struggled with the bags, Alice quickly ran over and helped her carry the bags into the kitchen.

Grace asked, "Where's everyone else?"

"They're in Little Gary's room. Grace, I think that you overbought." Alice asked.

Grace said, "Come on, it's so rare for Little Gary to have his friend over. Let's also celebrate the fact that I've made up with Heinz."

"What? Really?" Alice looked at her in surprise.

"Yea. He helped me a lot today." Grace continued.

Alice was stunned. She thought of the medical expenses. 'Was she talking about the medical expenses?'

"I interviewed Jason Hudson of the Quell family today. He's a hooligan. He wanted to take advantage of me. Fortunately, Heinz was there. Otherwise, that b*strd would definitely take advantage of me." Grace said.

"Jason Hudson?" Alice repeated her words and looked at her in surprise. She asked worriedly, "Did he do anything to you?"

"No, I'm fine," Grace replied.

"Ah, we have to beat him up. I would definitely lay my hands on him if I were there." Alice said.

Realizing what she had said, she became a little guilty for all the trouble that she had made. She sighed, "But after that, I would have to pay for his medical expenses." Grace smiled and said, "I'm fine."

"Sister, why don't I teach you some Taekwondo? It's pretty useful for self-defense." Alice asked.

"I want to learn it as well. Let's talk about it when I'm free. I'm going to change my clothes and go to see Ernest and Little Gary." Grace said.

Alice nodded her head and said, "Okay, go ahead. I'll wash the fruits and cook dinner." "I'll help you later," Grace said.

After changing her clothes, Grace went to her son's room.

She was shocked to see them both turn their heads at the same time, staring at her as soon as she opened the door.

Their movements were identical, like soldiers of the same battalion, and they seemed to almost have a tacit telepathic understanding of each other.

Ernest quickly stood up and walked over to Grace. He said, "Auntie, I'm sorry for not giving you a head's up. Please forgive me."
