True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 2246
Kendrix was looking at Sylvia, and Sylvia was looking back at Kendrix. They only had each other in their glistening eyes. Anyone could tell that they were already in a relationship. Neither of them could hide their happiness on their faces.
Although he tried his best to suppress his adoration for Sylvia, Claudia still noticed it.
Meanwhile, Sylvia seemed a little shy, despite her joyful expression.
Seeing that, Claudia couldn't help but to feel envious.
"Miss Loris." Suddenly, a voice broke through Claudia's thoughts and pulled her back to reality.
Looking at the driver, she smiled faintly. "Thank you."
"You're welcome. It is my job. Do you want these on the floor too?"
"Yes, please. I'll sort them out later." Claudia took some of the items from him.
"Okay. I think we need one more trip and we will be done, but I can do it. Tell Mr. Trevino he doesn't need to go down," said the driver.
"Forget it. I'll go down with you." She smiled and said, "It's easier when there are two of us."
"I can do it myself." The driver was flattered.
"Isn't it easier for two people to get it? You don't have to refuse." Claudia smiled and said to the two of them in the room, "Kendrix, Sylvia, I'll be going back down for another trip, and we will be done. Kendrix, please lookout for Sylvia."
They turned to the door at the same time, and saw Claudia and the driver walking out.
Claudia turned around, looked at Kendrix, and winked. Her expression was not subtle at all.
Kendrix couldn't help frowning.
The door was then closed.
There were only two of them left in the house.
All of a sudden, Sylvia's breath grew heavier.
When he looked at Kendrix again, he also turned to look at her.
Their eyes met again.
All she could see was his handsome face.
He smiled and asked, "Do you want something to drink?"
"Yes, thank you." She swallowed, feeling a little nervous.
He looked at her flushed face and asked while smiling, "Just water or something else?"
"Anything is fine." Sylvia felt that as long as she was with Kendrix, even plain water would taste sweet.
"I'll get you some juice then." He looked into the kitchen and saw a plate of fruits and a juicer on the kitchen top. He supposed the fruits had been cleaned.
Claudia especially loved drinking juice, so she had a juicer at home, and would make fresh juices often.
That way, she could make her own juice, which would be more hygienic, and she could save money too.
"Is fresh juice okay?" he asked again.
Sylvia was shocked as she was flattered. "Is that okay?"
"I'm asking you, silly." Kendrix turned to look at her. She looked adorable when she wasn't her usual bright self. She looked like a naive little girl, and it made his heart skip a beat. She felt embarrassed and lowered her head as he looked at her. She was still adorable, even when her ears were red.
"I don't mind, but won't it be too troublesome?"
She didn't want to trouble him.
"If that's the case, I'll drink it myself," he said.
"Huh?" She suddenly looked up and met his dark eyes. It was filled with emotions.
Kendrix looked at her stunned face and sighed, "I'm just kidding."
"So, you know how to joke too?" Sylvia was once again surprised.
"Of course I do. Is it that scary?" He felt that he had been too serious in the past, that she was a little afraid of him then.
He couldn't let it continue.
How could she be afraid of him?
With that thought in mind, he walked over and stood in front of her, looking down at her face.
She was forced to look up and into his solemn gaze.
She blinked her eyes and asked, "What's wrong?"
He looked at her reddened face that was filled with shock, frowned, and called out. "Sylvia."
Sylvia felt a squeeze in her heart, which then began beating quickly. "Yes?"
Kendrix looked at her slightly flustered face and watery eyes, almost couldn't hold himself back.
He frowned and blurted out unconsciously, "Don't look at me like that."
Almost subconsciously, she shut her eyes, and she blinked hard.
After realizing that her reaction wasn't quite right, she opened her eyes again and looked at him. His eyes were like a bottomless blackhole, exceptionally mysterious. She couldn't figure out what was inside as she was sucked into them.
She pursed her lips slightly, and her thick eyelashes trembled violently. She asked a low voice, "What... what are you doing?"
"Are you so afraid of me?"
His voice was husky and magnetic.
Her long eyelashes trembled even more.
Was she afraid of him?
Of course, she was not afraid of him. She was just a little nervous and did not know what to do.
"No." She hesitated for a moment and shook her head firmly. "I'm not afraid of you."
"Is that so?" His tone was neither fast nor slow, his deep voice making him sound even more mysterious.
Obviously, Kendrix didn't seem to believe Sylvia's words.
She nodded seriously. "Of course, why should I be afraid of you?" "Are you really not afraid of me?" He suddenly moved closer towards her face. They could feel each other's breath.
Their hot breaths were transmitted to each other's senses.
She held her breath subconsciously.
She could feel the blush on her face getting warmer, and it most likely was as red as blood already.
She licked her lips nervously and was even more at a loss.
He was too close that she could even feel his breath blowing on her face.
It was hot and piercing.
"I..." She opened her mouth and didn't know what to say.
"Are you stuttering?" Kendrix smiled with his eyes, amused by Sylvia's reaction.
In an instant, she felt dejected and disappointed by her own reactions, which she couldn't hide at all.
She coyly blamed him, "How could you make fun of me?"
"Haha." He laughed, "You know, huh?"
"Don't laugh." She was even more embarrassed as she called out in a low voice.
"So cute." His laughter rang in her ears as he looked at her tenderly.
It was so embarrassing.
Sylvia felt ever so helpless in front of him. How could she be so slow when facing Kendrix?
Where had that sharp-tongued self gone?
"You can't laugh." She pouted and warned. Unfortunately, her expression was so cute that it didn't sound like a threat at all. Instead, he smiled as he stared at her. "Are you that afraid of me?" he asked again.
"I'm not." She immediately shook her head. "I'm just a little nervous. I feel like I am in a dream when I am with you."
Since he was going to laugh at her anyway, she might as well just tell the truth.
As Sylvia spoke, she lowered her head. Her thick eyelashes were trembling, and her hair looked. luscious. She looked like a beautiful doll with her red and translucent cheeks.
"You are just afraid of losing something," he said.
She nodded.
He was right.
She was acting that way because she felt insecure.
He probably wouldn't understand her feelings as she was the one who fell for him first, and she had done more for him.
"It's not a dream." Kendrix told Sylvia confidently, "Be confident."
"Can I?" she asked subconsciously.
"What do you think?" he didn't answer, but asked in reply.
He felt helpless and distressed at her reactions.
"I don't know. I can't tell whether all these are real, but I think I can be more confident." Sylvia looked into Kendrix's eyes and summoned up her courage. "After all, I was too confident in the past."
Thinking of the past, he also laughed.
He did kind of miss who she used to be. She was the girl who cared about nothing.
However, she was acting shy then,
and she would feel embarrassed at times. She even learned to use her puppy eyes when looking at him.
Every time she looked at him like net
that, Kendrix felt like she looked just like a bunny, and he could barely contain himself and he wo
want
to be a big bad wolf and eat her up.
Unfortunately, he was still rational.
He couldn't be reckless.
Kendrix's thin lips curled up slightly, which made him look even more charming.
With just a glance, Sylvia's mind was already in a mess, sinking deeper in love with him.
"Mr. Trevino!" she shouted in a low voice.
"Yes?" He looked down at her, his eyes full of concentration and calmness.
Compared to his calmness, she felt that she was too nervous then.
She tried hard to take a deep breath to calm herself down. Finally, she regained her composure said softly, "The juice, please."
"Give me a minute." Kendrix smiled and walked into the kitchen.
Sylvia stood still in a daze as she stared at him, who was busying himself in the kitchen.
