True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 301
Heinz lowered his head and looked at Jensen. He was stunned by this interrogation and looked at Jensen blankly.
After some time, he sat down, feeling extremely sad and dejected.
He laughed at himself cynically and did not say a word.
Jensen noticed that he had turned pale, and his intimidating and imposing manner were gone. He wanted to get something out of Heinz, but stopped before saying anything. He just couldn't say it out loud.
He felt like he would make things worse if he tried to press him even more.
"Stop being so anxious." Jensen said, "In my opinion, it really does seem like an unusual relationship, but it doesn't mean it has to be a romantic one."
Heinz was in a daze. His emotions were a mess, and he had mixed feelings.
In a trance, he looked up at Jensen. "I saw them. They were very comfortable and intimate with one another."
Jensen took a deep breath, retrieved his cigarettes, took two out, and handed one to Heinz.
Heinz took it without saying a word.
Jensen lit his cigarette, and both of them puffed a cloud white smoke into the air.
Heinz felt as though his heart was exactly like the cloud of smoke, blown into the air and slowly dissipating, not knowing where to go.
He felt his heart turning cold, chilling him to his bones. He couldn't feel any warmth at all.
Jensen looked at his good friend's exhausted face with a helpless expression. He sighed and said, "I think Grace is a very sensible woman. Shouldn't you reflect on your behavior? Don't you think you're being a little too self-righteous?"
Heinz was stunned, his dull eyes lowered. Suddenly, he raised his head, looked at Jensen and said, "Am I being weird?"
"Let me ask you this." Jensen said, "Do you love Grace?"
With the cigarette in his hand, Heinz froze. He then took a heavy drag and replied, "They're pointless words. So what if I tell her that I love her? And what if I don't?"
"Women love to hear it." Jensen rolled his eyes and said, "Did you think that love could only be expressed through actions but not words?"
"I think love should be expressed through deeds. No matter how much one says, actions speak louder than words."
"However, women care about emotions and feelings. It's fine if you don't say the words, but you insulted her, didn't you?" Jensen added, "I am your best friend. I know you well. Your words can hurt people a lot."
Heinz frowned. The furrows between his eyebrows deepened so much, they began to look like an insurmountable mountain pass, and it wasn't a good look on him.
Jensen exhaled a puff of smoke and said coldly, "Just by looking at you, I already know how badly you hurt her with your words. Did you think she stayed with you for your money?"
Heinz was stunned, "Yes, that's exactly what I think."
"Oh, you've really underestimated her." Jensen said in a low voice, "You have really misjudged Grace. She used to be the second daughter of the director of Sunny Group, but she left the Smith family. If she really cares about money and power, why would she leave?
What did you think would happen if you insulted a dignified woman? You pushed her away with your own hands.
You didn't like the fact that she had a son, but Tyler doesn't mind. He likes Grace's son, and they're close, just like father and son.
Right now, as you're wallowing in self-pity, Tyler has already moved into their house, and he's now staying with Grace.
Even if you want to go back, I'm afraid it might be a little too late for that!"
Jensen's words were like a sharp knife piercing into Heinz's heart.
The pain spread all the way to his bone marrow.
Heinz leaned back and sat on the sofa, lowering his eyes slightly to conceal his internal struggle and bitterness. He didn't want his best friend to see through him.
After some time, he said, "You're right. That was really awful of me."
Jensen rolled his eyes and said, "There's only so much words can do. You should reflect on it. That's all I can do for you now. If you wait any longer, you'll really lose Grace, who is such a good woman." "Is Tyler staying at Grace's house tonight?" Heinz suddenly asked.
As Jensen looked at him asking this, he seemed to have recovered. Jensen pursed his lips and said, "Yes, Tyler was still there when I arrived. That was what they said, but Alice said Grace would share a room with her."
Heinz was stunned, and there was a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Really?"
"Yes." Jensen nodded. "Hurry up. Don't waste any more time, and don't waste your opportunity, Heinz. You will regret it if you lose Grace."
Heinz raised his eyebrows and looked at Jensen, his eyes twinkling in surprise.
Jensen continued in a very serious tone, "Don't ask me why, but once you win Grace back, you will naturally understand her."
Jensen didn't know if Heinz would act on what he said, but he had already done his best.
Meanwhile, at the Emerald Apartment...
Grace was busy tidying up her room. She changed the sheets and quilt, and she moved her clothes into Alice's room. She was going to give Tyler her room.
Seeing her tidying up the room, Tyler teased her with a smile, "Grace, I'm starting to get used to living with you guys. It's really lively here."
Grace smiled and said, "This is only temporary. Since you're already back, you should replace a place to stay. It wouldn't feel like home if you keep staying at random places."
"No." Tyler shook his head. "Your place feels like home."
Grace chuckled and said, "Didn't you say that your mother wanted to have dinner with me? If your parents know that you're back, but you didn't go back home, they might really get mad at you."
"I won't stay with them even if I've returned. They're old, and I'm afraid they won't be able to handle it if we stay together. Besides, if I have another episode, they'll be scared out of their wits," Tyler said. Grace was stunned. She turned to him and said, "Tyler, you can't have another episode. You've never been ill. Don't let it get to you."
Tyler touched his nose and said with a twinkle in his eyes, "Grace, I am ill."
"No, you aren't." Grace looked at him seriously and said, "I can understand it if you want to express your emotions by exiling yourself, but why do you insist on saying that you're mentally ill? What's the point of that?"
Tyler winked, looked at Grace, and said with a smile, "Grace, I'm very happy to hear you say that. If I'm normal, can I get a wife?"
Grace looked at him and replied earnestly, "Of course, you can."
"But what if I can't replace one?" Tyler asked again.
