Grace was truly speechless. She looked at him helplessly and said, "I'm very tired and I want to go to bed. You can sleep over there but don't move around. I'm not feeling well, so I might have a bad temper." "You are not feeling well?" Heinz was startled and began to ask nervously, "Where are you feeling uncomfortable?"

Grace was yet again completely speechless. Since she was having her period, of course, she felt discomfort in her abdomen.

"Oh, is your stomach hurting?" he asked when he came to his senses. "Is it?"

"Yes," replied Grace, not intending to pay him any attention. She wanted to lift up the quilt, get under it and lay down.

Heinz climbed onto the other side of the bed and lifted the quilt. Then, he got under it and shared the same quilt with Grace.

Grace closed her eyes.

Heinz propped himself up with one of his arms and used his other hand to lift Grace's chin.

"What are you doing?" asked Grace, who could only stare at him.

Heinz stared into her eyes and said, "I came here in the middle of the night. Do you feel touched?"

Grace's heart was burning with anger when she heard his words. She stared at Heinz and said, "Would you feel touched if someone woke you up in the middle of the night?"

Heinz was taken aback. There was a flash of embarrassment and regret in his eyes. He said, "Well, I shouldn't have come here at night, but I was worried about you. I couldn't sleep when I went back because I was too excited."

"Were you that excited to peel onion?" Grace retorted.

Heinz, who was taken aback, looked at her in surprise and asked, "How did you know?"

"I guessed it," she simply said, not wanting to betray Lester.

"That can't be true," Heinz insisted. "Did Lester tell you that?"

Grace kept quiet.

"Lester is getting better at making decisions for me," Heinz growled. "Let's see how I should deal with him tomorrow."

"It's better for you to not simply punish others." Grace said, "If he didn't inform me, do you think I would open the door for you in the middle of the night?"

Heinz opened his mouth and replied after some time, "You're my woman and my child is here. If you don't open the door for me when I come here, won't you feel bad about it?" Grace rolled her eyes at him.

"Don't roll your eyes!" said Heinz as he rubbed her chin softly. "A beautiful woman like you shouldn't roll

your eyes, or else you won't look nice."

Grace puffed with her mouth and mumbled, "Can you lay down and sleep now?"

"I can't sleep." He was still very excited. His eyes were as red as a rabbit's, but he still refused to sleep.

Grace moved slightly.

Heinz's eyes darkened as he said, "Don't move. I have very little self-control."

Grace rolled her eyes again and replied, "Get off the bed. I don't want to talk to you."

She was already extremely uncomfortable, yet he still pressed on her like this. How inconsiderate!

She then turned her head to switch off the light.

Suddenly, the whole room became pitch black.

Heinz did not move but the sound of his breathing in her ear sounded like a sigh.

"Grace."

Grace could tell that his voice was much softer.

"Sleep," Grace repeated.

Heinz raised his head slightly and stopped pressing on her. He held her in his arms and said softly, "Grace, sorry that you had to have suffered all these years." Grace shifted. In the darkness, she could only imagine how gentle his eyes were.

Even though she could not see him clearly, she could sense his tenderness.

Grace smiled bitterly and kept quiet. "I'm sorry," He said in a deeper, gentler and charming voice. "But thank you for giving me such a wonderful child." Grace's heart softened at once.

"He is my son," Heinz continued while holding Grace's hand and fiddled with it in his wide palm. "I like him very much."

He hugged Grace tightly in his arms.

"Thank you, Grace," said Heinz again. His tone was even gentler than before and sounded apologetic, "I was too much of a b*stard previously."

Grace sighed faintly and whispered, "Heinz, stop. Let's not mention the past anymore."

"No," he insisted. "I want to know some of the things that happened when you carried Little Gary in your belly."

Grace thought for a while and remembered her dead baby. It was better not to mention this matter.

She was gratified to know that Heinz cared about their children.

Whenever she mentioned her dead child, she would feel uncomfortable and suffocated. She didn't want Heinz to experience that kind of feeling.

If he did not know the existence of the child, he would not feel sad.

Grace said, "Whatever you want to know, I'll tell you in future. It will be morning soon if you don't sleep now."

"Okay," he nodded. "Let's sleep."

Both of them hugged each other and slept.

In Hart Villa District.

Beer bottles were scattered all over the floor in a large living room.

Alice was already in a drunken mess and her face was full of tears. She muttered, "I'm really an annoying person. Do you know that I also hate myself?"

Jensen looked at the girl in front of him with guilty and distressed expressions. After returning home from school, she had been drinking and confiding in him all the way until now. He pitied her very much and felt sorry for her beyond words.

Alice had drunk a great deal of alcohol. After class, she had looked at him and said, "Jensen, I won't go home today. Heinz will definitely stay there. Please take me in."

At that time, Jensen was stupefied and could hardly believe it. Of course, that was exactly what he wanted.

"Of course, you can stay at my place. But won't your sister worry about you?" Jensen asked.

"You can send a message to her." Alice had seemed a little awkward and said, "She will definitely believe you." "Why?" asked Jensen.

"Because you are a policeman," replied Alice.

"Oh." Finally, Jensen had sent a message to Grace, informing her that Alice would not be home that night.

Grace later replied, "Take good care of her. She has great pain in her heart."

Grace's few words made Jensen feel very touched. She cared about her sister, but she also wanted Alice to have a chance to grow up.

After that, Jensen had brought Alice back to Hart Villa District and asked someone to bring her food and drinks.

After the two of them entered the house, Alice felt very depressed when she saw that the place where he lived was very luxurious.

Jensen didn't dare to tell her that the house belonged to Heinz.

He had been watching Alice drink from nine o'clock all the way to about two o'clock in the morning. She kept crying and complained that she wasn't good enough. She also hated herself.

In fact, he knew that it all originated from the hurt she was inflicted upon when she was still a minor.

Alice's eyes were red and there were tears in them but she quickly wiped them away. She turned her face away and stubbornly refused to look at Jensen. She held a bottle of beer in her hand and lifted it.

"I haven't drunk for many years. The last time I drank, I got into serious trouble." She took a sip of beer and said, "I want to pull myself together but I feel that I'm too dirty!"

'No! No!" Jensen had also drunk some alcohol. He shook his head and corrected her, "Alice, you are not dirty. Please don't think that way." "What?" asked Alice as she shook her head. She was confused. She had downed about three bottles of beer that night.

Her chest was full of pent-up frustrations. She was more and more depressed. Her heart was full of unspeakable sorrow and she could not replace an escape. She wanted to break down but felt that she had no right to do so.

She couldn't blame anyone. She just wanted to get drunk, but even that was difficult.

Jensen looked at her and gently removed the bottle from her hand. He said softly, "Alice, don't think too much. You are a young and righteous girl."

"No, you don't understand me," said Alice as she shook her head. "I'm dirty, very dirty."
