True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 384
Grace Smith pursed her lips.
Encouraged by the sight of people pointing at Grace, Marry continued to insult her. Her voice became sharper as she talked, saying, "You can't live without a man, can you? Do you need a man that much? Do you have to seduce every man you see? Are you buying clothes to suck up to them?"
Grace remained silent.
Her silence was taken to mean tacit agreement by some.
Some believed that she was truly such a woman; one who couldn't survive without a man.
Grace frowned after she noticed the gazes of the onlookers. They seemed to stare more when she didn't deny the accusations.
"Are you not going to defend yourself?" Marry asked sarcastically, "Are you afraid of letting others know about your bad deeds? You even share indecent thoughts about your brother-in-law. Furthermore, you didn't even know who is the father of your illegitimate child, do you? Oh, you're such an unscrupulous woman!"
"Have you said enough?" Grace's gaze darkened as she spoke. She stared at Marry in cold silence. "Oh my God, is this her sister?!"
"This woman looks so meek and quiet. How could she be someone who flirts with her brother-in-law?" Nowadays, there are all kinds of women in this world. A brother-in-law is just another man to them."
"Yes!"
Everyone started to whisper out of a sudden.
Their voices were full of cynicism.
Grace took a deep breath.
Marry waited for the intensity of the whispering of the crowd to heighten before she sniggered, "What's wrong, my dear sister? I didn't even say anything when you tried to snatch my husband away. How could you speak in such a way to me now?"
Grace was speechless.
She looked at Marry and said coldly, "It seems that you have lost your confidence, Marry. I suppose Simon has really decided to leave you. Otherwise, why would you portray such a bad image of yourself and your husband in public?"
Grace spoke neither too fast nor too slow. Every word that she spoke was powerful and was heard by everyone.
The onlookers were clueless and confused by her words.
Marry's face turned pale instantly. She whispered, "You are the one who seduced my husband! He's your brother-in-law."
"You must be really sick," Grace said, looking at Marry indifferently, "How long has it been since I last met him? When have I ever gone to look for the both of you? You are the ones who would always come to me to cause trouble. If I had flirted with your husband, why would he need to look for me?"
Marry was shocked. She opened her mouth and tried to say something, but Grace had interrupted her before she could.
The pace of her words was just right. Her voice was soft but her words were powerful.
Her words had more impact than foul language.
Grace articulated each word clearly, saying, "And I noticed that you would accompany him whenever he came over. I thought that it was rather strange. What was your intention?"
"Besides, you said earlier that I couldn't survive without a man. Why should I bother looking for your husband then?"
"Do you think a second-hand man is worthy of me?"
"It's okay if you want to insult yourself, but don't insult me."
"Furthermore, if you continue to behave like this, I think you would only encourage Simon to leave you."
Marry shouted, "Shut up! How dare you curse me! You're evil."
"You are the one who provoked me when I'm busy shopping. I would never want to talk to someone who's so unreasonable," Grace said plainly.
"Shut up!" A glimpse of panic flashed in Marry's eyes. She couldn't stand it and shouted in a sharp voice, "You are the unreasonable one!"
"Since you think that I'm unreasonable, why don't you stay away from me then?" Grace replied calmly, "Why do you always follow me wherever I go?"
"You, you, you-" Marry stuttered, as she pointed at Grace. She panicked after being flustered by Grace's words.
She was never as eloquent as Grace was. Since young, Grace was usually quiet. However, once she spoke, her words carried power.
"Are you the owner of this store? What right do you have to disallow me to be here?" Marry shouted, "I could be here if I want to. Even the shop assistants aren't saying anything. Who are you to stop me?" "Well, it's up to you," Grace said lightly. "You could stay here. I'll leave."
She was not in the mood to talk to Marry, and she also felt that it was unnecessary to continue making a scene.
The onlookers, who had come to watch the show, were gathering at the entrance.
Grace was ready to leave.
However, Marry grabbed her wrist and said, "You are not allowed to leave. You have seduced my husband. Even if you want to leave, you are not allowed to leave." Grace frowned when Marry grabbed her wrist. She tried to free herself but Marry's grip was too strong. Marry even dug her sharp nails into Grace's skin, hurting her wrist. "Let go of me," Grace murmured.
"Don't think of escaping," Marry said, her gaze fiery. It was obvious that her whole heart had been engulfed in jealousy.
Marry was extremely angry. She had lost her child because of her sister. At that moment, she might
lose her husband as well.
She hated Grace.
She despised Grace with her heart. She wished Grace would go to h*ll and be consigned to eternal damnation.
"Let go of me," Grace repeated in a low voice. "Did you hear me?"
However, Marry refused to let go.
At that moment, a voice rang from behind them, "Let her go!"
Marry stiffened and her gaze was suddenly filled with surprise. She said, "Simon?"
The person who came was Simon Brown.
He walked right through the crowd and came to Grace and Marry.
As soon as he saw the blood dripping from Grace's wrist, he immediately frowned and shouted coldly, "Marry, let go."
However, Marry still refused to let go. She grabbed Grace and said to Simon with grievances, "Simon, she was the one who had humiliated me. She said that you left me. She insulted me and cursed me." "Nobody is cursing you," Simon said. He felt very embarrassed as many people had come to watch them. His face started turning red and he was even angrier with Marry. He said, "You should take your medication. You are not very stable mentally so you need to be hospitalized. If you continue in this way, you will be emotionally unstable as well."
His words were like a heavy hammer. It caused a huge impact on the crowd.
Everyone looked at Marry and began to whisper again.
"Oh, she is mentally ill. She looks beautiful and alert but unfortunately, she is not well mentally."
"She doesn't look like a normal person. This is terrifying."
Grace's gaze fell on her wrist, where her fair skin had been punctured by Marry. It was bleeding.
She struggled with more strength in an attempt to free herself from Marry's grip.
However, Marry shouted crazily at her and Simon, "You wh*res just wanted to be together. She cursed me and you said I was mentally ill."
"Simon, have you forgotten about our child?"
"We lost our child because of her."
Simon's body stiffened instantly.
Grace lifted her eyes to look at Simon and said, "It seems that not only she is mentally ill, but she is also delusional. Why don't you send her for treatment at a mental health center? As you can see, she tends to be violent. When she can't win over an argument, she starts to attack others physically."
